Most of the rules and ettiquette will be familiar, but please scan them anyway.

Rules and etiquette (mostly stolen from DP's games):

• During the game's nights, everyone who has to do so sends me an E-mail.
• Please refrain from posting in this thread during the night. You may only post notice of absence, or maybe a "BAH!" during the night.
• In the "morning" I announce the events of the night. During the daytime you discuss and vote to kill someone. I will announce beforehand how many votes are required for killing. It is my prerogative to set a time limit on the voting; I will announce that at least 24 hours before the limit expires.
• Under no circumstance are you allowed to show any E-mails from me or others.
• Please do not discuss this game via Instant messenger, E-mails (unless you are part of a group, and then only when it is night) or IRL....
• If you are dead, you are dead. Do not post any information afterwards.
• The moderator (that's me) is always right; you may not like it, but mods put a lot of effort in creating and moderating the game and their decision should be final.
• The night arrives when I post that it is night. Once a majority is reached, that person gets lynched. You may continue to discuss during twilight (while you walk home) but you may not post at night.
• I will be using DP's lynch rules. The person with a simple majority gets lynched. If a deadline is set, the person with the most votes will be lynched as long as that person has half the majority.
• You may vote to not lynch anyone. In doing so, you go home. You MAY NOT post again after voting no lynch unless you are dragged from your house by getting half the majority.

As everyone wakes up from their night of slumber, news spreads through the town that The Accountant, beloved cop, has been killed. Since everyone loved The Accountant, a lynch mob forms to try to exact revenge. Somehow, everyone mystically knows that the killers are among them.

The Accountant, cop, was killed by the mafia.

I've being leniant since it is the holiday season, but it's been too quiet... so I'll set a deadline: 1 January 5pm PST. (oh, and it's a "soft" deadline, so if things pick up, I'll extend it.)

"No no, it's jadesmar," says quercitron. "Oh, and I'm a townie, nyah nyah. I claimed first so you know it's true. Mafia wouldn't have the balls to claim townie!"

"Townie!! You must be mafia! Why else would you say you're a townie?" retorts Lystrodom.

"OK, OK, maybe I was wrong... it might not be Mathcam," says Mathcam.

"Quercitron, you may be right. I may be crazy. But it just might be a lunatic you're looking for... hmm... what was I saying? Oh, yeah, you may be right, I may... no, no... anyway, sure, quercitron, I'll help you string up jadesmar," says Mathcam.

Werebear says, "Medicated lain is quiet, let's lynch ML!"

"Do we have to lynch someone? I'm not really sure how to be part of this angry mob thing. It's not really my scene. I'll help you lynch whomever. Jadesmar is as good as anyone else," says Nyarlathotep.

"Werebear is evil!" says Medicated Lain.

"Medicated Lain, you sure are weird... I'd like to see you strung up," says MatthewV.

"I'm not witty or insightful, so I think we should lynch Beaudoin," says Sugar.

Beaudoin responds: "Hey! Well, no hard feeling, I guess. Since 2 is greater than 3, I'll help y'all string up Medicated Lain"

"OK, OK, I just wanted to hear what you'd say," says Sugar.

Lystrodom thinks to himself... "Hmm... Beaudon is being smarter than I am..." Then aloud he says, "Beaudoin, I'll help you!"

Sugar pipes in with a "Let's lynch jadesmar."

"Screw it, I'll help y'all get ML," says quercitron.

"Sure why not?," says Nyarlathotep.

And with that Medicated Lain is dragged to the tree and strung up. "Dibs on his cash," shouts MatthewV as he rushes to Medicated Lains house.

After a thorough search of ML's house, MatthewV is happy to find only 76 cents and a stick of Juicy Fruit (unchewed) in the cushions of the couch. No one else found anything of interest. MedicatedLain was a townie.

Hitman, maybe... Right now, you cannot replace jadesmar since he confirmed his participation at the start of the game and this might be his strategy. I will check with him "tonight". If I find that he is no longer playing, then I will offer the position to the people in the mini-game sign-up list, in the order they signed up.

The town sleeps in a little bit. Apparently, everyone's alarm clock was set a little bit off. As the town assembles, they notice that jadesmar was missing. There is a collective sigh.

"So did he just run off?" someone asked.

"I don't remember seeing him yesterday afternoon, either. Maybe there's nothing amiss. Let's just continue on."

"No, we must find out if he's around."

So the town splits up and looks for jadesmar. They find him, dead. He hadn't even picked up the nights laundry. "Now who is going to clean my suit? I have a job interview tomorrow!" mutters someone in the crowd.

jadesmar, Laundry Attendant (version 2) was killed by the mafia.

It is day. Vote, 5 to lynch.

The role description was supposed to be in the death scene, but I forgot.

The laundry attendant is a role I made up for a previous mini-game. He can check a person's clothes for blood. Version 1 was too weak because he could only see if the person killed that night, however, Version 2 will notice blood if the person ever killed in the past.

Cuban Smoker walks up to MatthewV and states "You didn't listen to people last night, I've got my eye on you..."

"Now, Jadesmar was almost lynched yesterday, why'd anyone kill him?? It must be Quercitron!"

"BAH! I do nothing but sit on my ass. I've clearly proven my innocence," replies Quercitron. "Mathcam, you suck, YOU must be mafia."

"OK, OK, if you do nothing but sit on your ass, I guess I'll let it slip," says mathcam.

Several hours pass with everyone just sitting in silence.

"Uh... ok, Lystrodom, I've got a hunch you are guilty," says mathcam.

"WHAT!?!? ME?" exclaims Lystrodom incredulously.

"Uhhh... yeah, sure, why not?" says mathcam.

"Well, I for one believe that Quercitron really does sit on his ass all night." says Cuban Smoker. "MatthewV, you must be guilty!"

think it's you, Mathcam! You are just being too helpful to the town." says Nyarlathotep.

"MatthewV, why are you spending all your time in the bathroom?" asks Cuban Smoker. "I'm going to string him up if I can..."

"Well, I'll help you lynch mathcam," says Sugar.

MatthewV return. "HEY! You suck CS! Just 'coz I got the trots is no reason to punish me. Besides, it's my dads fault!"

Quercitron wakes from a daydream. "Wha? What's going on? Wow, two others have grabbed mathcam?" Quercitron lets go of mathcam.

Cuban Smoker boldly proclaims "Sugar, Nyarlathotep and Lystrodom are Mafia. That's where my money is"

"WTF? TOO HELPFUL?" mathcam is incredulous. "FINE! I'll try to be less helpful then... sheesh."

MatthewV looks apolgetic. "OK, I probalby over-reacted." He let's go of CS. "I will, however, help y'all lynch mathcam!"

Cuban Smoker accepts MatthewV's apology. "OK, now it looks like you are paying more attention to what's going on! Hmm... innocent people attack their accusers, while guilty people attack the evidence (or in this case, lack thereof). Nyarlahotep, I think you are guilty."

"OK, I'll bite. Nyarlathothep I'm going to help take you down." says mathcam

"Well, I think mathcam is innocent, so I'll switch to someone else if it gets a bit darker... but for now, I think it's sugar."

"Well, I'll follow you quercitron." With that, mathcam grabs Sugar.

"No, no, it's not me. I think it's Nyarlathotep!" exclaims Sugar.

Mathcam begins to panic... "Uh.. guys... it's not me... really... ok, ok, since Sugar is no longer anxious to lynch me, I'll change back to Nyarlothep."

"If nyar is innocent, it's not my fault!!! It's all you guys just standing around..." syas Cuban Smoker

Beaudoin chimes in "Well, I'm not convinced mathcam is innocent, but I think Nyarlathotep is more suspicious."

With that, Nyarlathotep, is dragged to the lynchin' tree. After going through his pockets, you find three handguns and two knives. If this guy wasn't mafia, then no one is.

Everyone sleeps in a bit. In the middle of the morning everyone gathers for another fun-filled day of lynching. The only thing that seems odd is that Lystrodom now insists on being called MikeGoo

Mikegoo is replacing Lystrodom. Lystrodom contacted me saying that IE wasn't working and that 'e wasn't going to be able to continue.

Oh yeah, with 8 alive, it takes 5 to lynch.

After a little muttering amonst the group, Cuban Smoker decides to speak up. "If any of you guys are cops, now would be a good time to tell us. But

Mathcam rambles on for half an hour and concludes with "Werebear, you ar scum.... err... no, no Werebear, MatthewV, you are scum."

CS immediately lets go of MatthewV and decides that Werebear must e the scum.

"Well, I don't have any ideas, so I'll just follow you, CS." says goo.

"Yeah, why not, I'll help you string up Werebear," says Sugar.

"OK, well, I'm Doc Hex..." says Werebear.

"Sugar is scum," says MatthewV

"OK, I'll go along with that..." says goo.

Sugar and Cuban Smoker let go of Werebear too.

"OK, I'm a doc," says mathcam. And then talks for a while.

"goo, it's you," says Sugar.

"OK, I have got a plan!" says mathcam. And then launches into a two hour explanation of his plan. "Let's go home!"

CS responds, "hmm... I just might."

Then mathcam goees home. MatthewV goes home too. Then goo leaves. and Sugar, and CS.

Werebear talks aloud to himself as night falls....

No one was lynched today.

You are correct Werebear, it is not in the rules of the game whether the mafia can send in a "no kill." That is role specific and I cannot answer that question in the thread.

In the morning, cuban smoker, Mikegoo, Sugar, and Werebear meet in the town square (in alphabetical order no less).

"Where are the mat*s?"

A quick run to MatthewV's house and everyone is winded. "Wow, how'd we all get so out of shape?" Someone asks.

A thorough search turns up a body- shot in the face. It's still clear that it is the corpse of MatthewV. It looks like the mafia got to him.

After running the MatthewV's house, you all decide that a leisurely stroll is more your pace. You stroll to mathcam's house.

Mathcam is dead. It's unclear why he died, though. One of you points to needle tracks in his arm. He must have overdosed on something... maybe he was an addict? He did have a lot of drugs in his black bag.

MatthewV, townie was killed by the mafia. Mathcam, doctor died from an overdose?

You did it. Your final dose was a kill. I had toyed with the idea of "if you protect the same person more than twice he dies of overdose" but scrapped that and simply made the final dose poison (or as I later decided- the final dose was all three of Doc Oct's potions and would OD someone. As it turns out, it didn't matter since both cases were met.

It was an experiment to try to find a way to balance the role in a mini-game.
