Ok that was surprisingly quick. Here are my thoughts atm though I feel like I’m preaching to the choir here:

My vote on redtail is unlikely to change though admittedly there is one other place I'd go (hint: it's Synaesthesia). The way he voted Crypto for a series of statements that were very clearly intended to be a joke seemed opportunistic, especially given that he doesn’t criticize the thin rationale of the others’ RVS votes. Seemed like scum trying to distort the words of a townie and capitalize on others’ potential misunderstanding. I also didn’t like his reaction to being put at L-1 or his claim. The way he reacted to Crypto and petapan afterwards seemed more like resigned scum than the kind of reaction I’d expect from real town PRs who would probably put up more of a fight.

Crypto’s pretty much explained why I’m also considering Synaesthesia: he’s trying too hard to conform to the “trolly” nature of the game and it comes across as super forced to me.

As far as townreads go, I think Denis is town here: his thoughts on redtail essentially followed my own and the speculation regarding jailkeeper + well-playing scum stalling out the RVS stage of the game hit me on a gut level as town. I also feel like his paranoia of petapan is really genuine too (which I also share…sorry bb).

I really want to hear what redtail thinks of Crypto attempting to steer the wagon away from him and onto Synaesthesia. And I too also want to hear from the players who haven't spoken.

Reading this, I get the impression I didn’t explain myself as eloquently as I would have liked, but this is all I have at the moment.

Eh, I kinda get where you're coming from but I don't think projectmatt getting cold feet over the redtail lynch is as terrible you're suggesting, especially given his justification for doing so in Post #187. The one thing I do dislike is the certainty with which he expresses that redtail is going to flip town in Post #174 (seems totally out of place). I'm not really taking it to mean anything major atm though and I could be totally misreading that statement.

And I'm sure that list will grow once the afk players start contributing (ps: I think it's possible Syn might genuinely just be ~misunderstood~ noob town after his last post).

Ok, I was typing up what I thought was going to be a massive wallpost but then I realized I've gotten progressively lazier as this game has gone on. Instead I'm going to just write a catch-all post.

I think Denis, Hibiki, and Sach are all very unlikely to be partnered up with deadjoker. W/r/t the first two, I think they do much to push a case on deadjoker well before his lynch seemed like an inevitability or even a very strong consideration. I also have a hard time seeing the way deadjoker addresses them both (in posts 317, 393, and 395) as him talking to his partner(s). Sach also seems to push deadjoker as a top priority lynch but I guess not as uhhh...vigorously (?) as the other two. But that seems to be more her playstyle/personality than anything.

Syn/Coron seemed to be one place deadjoker was willing to throw down a vote, and though the logic behind his fos seemed thin, the way he hopped onto this wagon while it seemed juicy made me think this wasn't a distancing attempt for some reason. Seemed to me like he was trying to waste the ML here rather than bus/distance his partner. Looking at their posts individually, though, doesn't inspire me with confidence one way or the other. Something about the conclusions Coron arrives at rubs me the wrong way but his reasoning strikes me as possibly coming from a genuine town thought process (yes, I'm fence sitting on you, dwi).

The way deadjoker addressed petapan during twilight also doesn't strike me as scum addressing his partner...but he was confirmed scum, so I'd pretty much take anything he said here with a huge grain of salt.

I'm exhausted/tired so sorry if any of this came out in a contrived way or if I missed anything. Questions/comments are welcome.

If anyone cares, I'll write up a case on redtail tomorrow.

But aside from mechanics speculation and PoE (I have many strong townreads elsewhere), I honestly don't know. I had him written off as a weaker townread initially as a result of a tonal read but after looking over deadjoker's interactions with everyone, I think he's a possible scum partner candidate.

The reason I mentioned all that business about denis, Hibiki, Sach, and Syn/Coron is because of the list I made during twilight. That would bump up Hibiki and Sach into the town section. Meaning, if horrordude isn't scum (and it's very possible), one or more of my townreads is wrong.
