I was going for something along the lines of: "if effort is seen as a town-read, scum will be more likely put in effort to look town. But then, putting in effort could be seen as a scum read, so scum won't want to be seen putting in too much effort, etc."

I'm used to referring to all types of reasoning which can be subjected to this circular type of 'reductio ad absurdum' as WIFOM. It's not a null-tell per se, it's just not a read that can be relied on.

I don't disagree with your general read of Jacob, I just think your PbP looked a bit far-fetched at times.

In post 294, ArcAngel9 wrote:Another person i am concerned about is Good Morning, He agrees with everyone about Josh being scum but actually didn't vote him, and his reads on others didn't sit well as posted.

Of course I didn't vote him, as my vote would have been the hammer. This Day needs to be longer than a few days, I think.
What other reads of mine do you not like, other than the one on yourself?

In post 278, serrapaladin wrote:goodmorning, what did you mean by AA9 asserting some really random stuff? It's definitely not a language thing.

For a start, how about the assertion she made that I am responding to here? That my not voting for Josh was scummy because I think he's scummy?
Only she keeps ignoring facts and making up facts to suit herself, like she's not really reading the game and has already decided who is what role? Stuff that's making her move further down my reads list? Stuff like that. I'll look up more if you like, but this should suffice for now.

Also, now that he's not at L-1,

Vote: Josh

@HD: Your case is interesting. That said, post 85 was a joke post. It was not an actual vote for Klick because he was already voting for Klick.

Except the assertion up there came after my question. I see where you're coming from with your criticism of 294, but I was wondering what you based your earlier read on.

Oh

This is one of those times where I wish I could read

Nonetheless he's still on his RVS vote when he has scumreads, which is a point against him.

Yeah, I was afraid you'd say that. I'll go find it. Emphasis mine.

In post 107, ArcAngel9 wrote:Wait, so you’re saying that you Trust HD and you don’t him too. And If I understood you correctly… your play style is mainly trusting him and playing for him too is your play style. That’s awfully confusing!!! Look,
I am happy that you found someone to put your faith blindly and believe them as townie and trust them and not trust them at the same time but this is not helping anyone.

A lot of what she says to KX in particular is the same way, and so is what she says about Josh here:

In post 167, ArcAngel9 wrote:Josh is a person i am bit concerned about, He randomly votes me first and after 3 pages laters he made another posting saying that "every body is arguing over nothing" and later he gives bit lecture to KX , and right after he votex KX. Over all 7 pages he has been nothing but "Null"
I don't know Josh before neither i have ever played with him
I am wondering if this is how he play or he is scum and trying to avoid facing the game?

Unvote

VOTE: Josh

(I'd also call that a bit of an OMGUS vote. On page 7.)

And what she says to me later on is like that, and I'm sure that if she'd actually interact with other players we'd see it there too.

She makes kind of a big deal out of his RVS on her. Like, mentioning it at all in that context is kinda ridiculous.

Welp. I've kinda been checking in and out and writing down reads as I go. So far I've got:

TOWN
Me
KX
Jacob
Cheery
NicCage
Josh
ArcAngel
---
Docteur
Spencer
goodmorning
Venrob
serra
Human Destroyer

All the ones below are kinda jumbled together, with Docteur and Spencer being VERY slight townreads. Everyone above the line has a pretty good chance of being town.

Hmm, goodmorning actually makes a good point there.

ArcAngel: why did you mention Josh's RVS vote on you?

A few things that concern me about Klick's reads: he mentions in how Venrob is going to be completely unreadable, but still has him quite close towards the scummy end of his list. His top scumread is HD, which he admits is a hunch. Most accusations against me have made in association to Josh - he thinks Josh is slightly town, but still has me as his second scum read.

Not sure what to make of this yet, but IGMEOKlick.

@serra:

I should have noted that goodmorning/Venrob is kinda the middle of the null section. Literally everyone above is at least some sort of town read, with the line cutting off significant townreads from non-significant ones.

My scumreads are not strong.

I'm not using "most accusations" to read you.

The choices are either wait for a replacement or ask everyone if he's their mason buddy, I'd rather have a replacement come in before the hammer. (even though that would end up being a waste of a replacement), I feel it would be a better option than giving scum their next two night kills if he is one of the town power.

It's hardly likely considering the lack of any major defense

Greetings, all! I look forward to playing with you.

First off, my vote goes to:

VOTE: Goodmorning

An L-1 vote when the slot has not even picked up a prod and is inactive--not lurking--does not do anything to advance the game state and reeks of scummy opportunism looking for an easy mislynch.

Also, Goodmorning is inconsistent in that she claims that she wants the day to last longer, but then lays down her weapon, voting an inactive player, rather than using that vote to put pressure on those who are here playing the game to scumhunt them.

And, Goodmorning knows that voting an inactive player does no good, as:
In post 60, goodmorning wrote:a vote on an unconfirmed will do no good as they shan't see it.

@Goodmorning
Why are you doing "no good" with your vote? You've expressed weird feelings on at least hydra and AA9 in Post 271, yet none of your subsequent posts have explored those feelings. Why not?
