    Reck didn't respond well to Fate's initial accusation. The labor behind this post surprised me more than anything up to that point.

    But getting beyond that point and into the next couple pages, I think we should cut Reck loose. I've seen enough to make me
    unvote, vote UT

    I'm cozy enough to vote with my former scumread, this should tell you a lot about how shiny and nice UT's wagon is.

    I'm really not seeing what made you decide UT is town, Fate. You quoted one piece of his LATER townhunting and missed the part entirely where he thinks Reck is town but is really remaining silent on the whole Reck vs. Fate scream match until it pans out.

    itemized list

    1. Reck
      : Introducing new/questionable/false information is a bad tactic to lynch scum. If you haaaaven't noticed, the last couple pages have all been about your stupid claim, Adorkable, and your stupid claim. Do you see what kdowns is currently doing? You just made it REALLY difficult to tell whether kdowns is easily distracted, or looking for material to scoop up.

    2. Image

    3. I'm inclined to give nhammen a pass today for one very important thing he said/did. Why the ~pressure~
      Gamma
      ? Ignoring the Reck claim is good play. Ignoring the Reck play to pick into the neighbors instead is weird, can you explain plz

    well the fact that matt is voting kdowns as a consequence just makes it all the much more difficult to lynch scum if both of those people are town, and I'm inclined to say at the very least matt is town here or unwilling to bus (lol)

    so, in summary, you make it hard for us to have nice things

    What

    Nuwen

    First of all how often has me explaining my reads
    a. made any sense to you
    b. allowed you to read me better
    c. made any sense to you

    Do it anyway? Right now I don't think you had a read on UT at all at the time and prob put him on your town list as an incidental to Reck-scum, and I want to know why you're neither calling me FOO nor agreeing with me while still talking a lot.

    I'm also agreeing with your scum read and haven't taken flak soooo

    ~~~
    Gamma is my second scum pick today after the recent Reck vote and meeeh coastdon'tcare response to neighbors. The meeeh could be anything though so we'll let him coast to D2 and change our minds.
    The only other actual options for a LYNCH today are Axxle, kdowns, Grimmjow, Ythan. I don't want to lynch any of these four more than I want to lynch UT right now.
    Serious question time Reck
    You skipped straight to calling Fate scum after he called you scum. There was never a negotiate-y period, just balls to the walls 1v1 f2f level stuff. The only moment where you stop to smell the vag is here:
    In post 71, xRECKONERx wrote:
    Hey Fate.
    GOT SOME QUESTIONS FOR YA BUUUUUUUUUUDDY.
    #1) Why does voting UT mean "OH FUCK NO"? Is he your scum buddy? If not, why do you not want me to vote him?
    #2) What crumb is it you think MattP saw? I don't either he ever gave any indication he was reading a crumb for me, and I never crumbed anything, either.
    #3) What does "being in it for the long haul" have anymore to do with scum than town?
    #4) You played in Gay Mafia 1. Gay Mafia 2 is ongoing. I modded those games, helped write flavor, modded in flamboyant rainbow font, and yet you ask "WHEN HAS RECK EVER BEEN THIS BLATANTLY GAY"? I also did the same thing during Always On Mafia, another game that you were in, where I posted in rainbow font.
    #5) Why is explaining my reads scummy? Are you honestly insinuating that it is anti-town to explain your reads?
    And these questions aren't even very well-designed. Like, I know people play this game in
    wildly
    different ways but what type of responses did you anticipate to each question from a town Fate? From a scum Fate?
    Dude Reck even if you are
    ~RIGHT~
    (and I think your reads here are good: UT is p much defscum), what you've done for the last couple pages is so WRONG in presentation, cooperation, collaboration, explanation and a bunch of other gerunds.
    I realize everyone in this game wants or wants to think he has the power to command "X is scum, everyone else's reads are trash, prepare my throne plz."
    I'm really, really baffled as to why UT isn't a MORE SIGNIFICANT LYNCH CANDIDATE RIGHT NOW. He's literally dropped off the radar in favor of Reck's massive blowouts, Matt -> Trollie, and this new offwagon on Axxle. What the FUCK is that? If UT AND Reck were competing mislynches I'd expect different things to be happening w/ votes.
    Regretted wasting the effort. Fate is being a roadblock, but the answer isn't to lynch him first
    When you start ignoring Fate you NEUTER his power. Scum often crack under the rapid-fire back and forth his posts force (and by quickly spitting out posts, scum are more likely to do something perceived as scummy by the general audience - think of it like a probability:frequency problem), and town either have to follow his lead or start appealing to the general audience instead
    so this is me appealing to the general audience + Reck I guess
    still not lynching the voteless slot, try again.
    Reck is HELPING ME LYNCH SCUM. People who LYNCH MY READS get to enjoy a beloved status. This is how you use Nuwen as scum, but Reck had the same read first - this tells me he probably saw similar stuff vs. agreeing with me so I'll keep him alive.
    UT is actively and regularly posting in other games and other areas of the site
    , but still hasn't really committed to this thread because he'll prob just out scumbuddies.
    fate if we get into another situation where my reads are wrong and yours are right, what betting terms do you want to set? I get your vote, you get mine?
    Let me make sure I'm understanding a few things first (please correct me if I'm wrong):
    -You think Fate is scum with UT.
    -You don't think there's a possibility of Reck/Fate scum.
    -Your excuse for lynching UT first is that you think Fate is protecting a scum power-role (implying that they'd HAVE to be scum together).
    Y/N?
    I said let me speak to GLORK. The one with the brainmeat I like.
    Fate could be the only alternative mislynch on the plate right now (who doesn't love a good Fate bbq and wouldn't like to resolve past grudges, deeep deep down?). Fate could be a goon to UT's godfather. Fate could disappear into a black bag and become the next papal candidate.
    What's IMPORTANT is that Fate IS NOT IMPORTANT because not only is he ignoring me and my reads, he's also calling my scum pick town. Even if he's scum the LAST thing I want to do is give him attention and a platform to use for misdirection and other stuff.
    No, I don't think Reck and Fate are scum together and I don't care that it's a dim possibility in your mind.
    I don't understand this PoV either. If Fate is unlynchable then the LAST thing I want to do it burn another day phase confirming what we already know. What we DON'T know is whether Fate CAN be lynched eventually, or under specific circumstances, or ????.
    Here's what I think, itemized for ease:
    1. Fate really isn't giving any fucks this game. He cheekily defended his buddy, claimed scum, and has p much done everything in his power to make us want to lynch him. Fate has succeeded once.
    2. Expected behavior from scum Fate includes: apathy, low levels of caring, inconsistency in favor of volume, renegade solo play w/ bussing.
    Basically, I think it's MORE likely that as scum his role is enabled in some way rather than governor-ism. The kills don't make sense from someone trying to live one more phase, but do make sense from someone WHO WANTS TO BE LYNCHED AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.
    Here's the shortlist:
    In post 556, Axxle wrote:7 prods? This is the game to be in!
    The last invitational I played in (scummer of love) a ton of the mafia just kind of lurked and never really explained their votes all that much, I had to vig them to get rid of them. I'm thinking that it might be a solid idea to do so here too. (not vig, look for scum). Actually looking back at that game, Reck was scum and plays ridiculously differently.
    Unvote: Reck
    As for the scummiest lurker... Welp, I guess UT reminds me of Panzer's play in sol, so...
    Vote: UT
    And yes I realize I'm hopping wagons here. Deal with it.
    Prior to bussing, Axxle was trying to feel out a bunch of alternative wagons, namely Reck (WHEN FATE AND RECK WERE 1V1ING). The vote on UT came after it was clear no alternatives were emerging.
    The scummiest part, though...
    In post 638, Axxle wrote:I am really not feeling fatescum.
    dance vote: Gamma
    Pretty much 100% sure he's town, not *that* certain of Nuwen.
    How inconsistent is this shit? Instead of revisiting Reck vs. Fate (which Axxle definitely had a fake opinion on, given that he started calling Reck town to segue into UT vote), Axxle changes focus to new candidates. Introducing new stuff is a good way to make people forget or gloss over important, revealing things that have already occurred in a game. A town mind would be thinking "Well if Reck is town here... what the hell is this UT-defending Fate?" Instead, Axxle proposes not ONE but TWO alternatives to a D2 Fate lynch.
    Just kill it geez
    Only one kill again last night on the giver of shinies, not a town kill.
    Trash vote, and I GUARANTEE Axxle rides support of my lynch because the only thing that threatens him as an SK is my vest.
    I still think Axxle's ability is a way to avoid prisoner's in this setup, in lieu of something more traditional like a vest @ night. It's possible that designers didn't want to oversaturate the game with vests, so each anti-town faction was given a day mechanic to contend with each other instead of cross-shot prevention (unlynchable + govern)
    Massclaim starting with ???. Axxle isn't going to claim any additional shit now that people are calling him confirmed town, and I seriously doubt he has a kdowns shiny.
    I can smell the lack of conviction. Hohum NEEDS some missing link to set up his own claim, so I think the idea here is to start the claim chain as far away from himself as possible (because I've expressed suspension of Axxle primarily?) after it was suggested. I don't know if that's a poorly-conceived blitzkrieg or not thinking ahead or what, but the plasticity reeks strong as a "convince me plz" tell.
    Fate reaaaaaally tried to use the "I can't vote / I can't be lynched I CAN PROVE IT" thing as a point that he's confirmed town. Claiming responsibility for that effect either means hohum is cohorts'ing, or story checks out. Voteless effect as part of a gambit means Hohum would HAVE to be scum and NOT the second shooter, which explains why he's asking about doctors. He would know there has to be something preventing the second shot (as opposed to all the scum being just dead). I guess this also fits with some of the stuff Fate was trying to spew about Trollie, where he said something like "WELL ONLY ONE VOTELESS CAN BE TOWN RIGHT?" to suggest a 1-1 with Trollie. Or something like that.
    We know that there's a role that
    protects
    from a kill in the setup because of the adorkable kill mistake, so I don't know what you're talking about.
    In post 929, hohum wrote:Dayviging SK?
    No.
    Is that a
    doc softclaim
    from you nuwen?
    Would anyone like to hazard a guess as to why the SK candidate and the scum-slipper are searching specifically for a
    doctor
    or
    protective
    role? The mod only confirmed that Adorkable should have died - not that it was protected. The language used by both Axxle and hohum is more specific than the moderator's and this is not a coincidence or common mistake.
    Someone without perfect/additional info should be considering the presence of a roleblocker (town or otherwise), or any of DOZENS of roles that could interact with a kill in some way. The fact that both of these shooter candidates are immediately doc/protector-hunting should give us a clue: scum controlled the roleblocker (and still do? Maybe it's dead, no flips), which is why hohum slipped and said DOCTOR instead of vaguer language.
    I think it was Yosarian who famously quoted "Players subconsciously always tell something about their role or motivation." He is correct. We need to be lynching hohum today.
    This.
    It's thin but I was hoping that Nuwen was the one doing all the saving.
    I wanted her to confirm my original town read. But instead what I got was an OMGUS vote, so v0v.
    This doesn't even make sense. Hohum basically says: "I think there's a doctor in the game (
    FOR WHATEVER REASON
    ), I think it's Nuwen, I think Nuwen is town, but if Nuwen doesn't claim doctor she is no longer town?" That isn't a sequence that logically follows for a town mine. That sequence DOES make sense as a scum realization that he can't shoot a protective role and needs to instead desperately try to lynch it.
