Didn't the mod post basically say it wasn't true?

So according to you, we're supposed to allow a country to attack us, and not respond?
So if someone attacked you, you wouldn't respond?Papa Zito - "Your signature has been blanked...we remove signatures at a users request if said signature references them, or if it quotes from a thread in the Speakeasy, which is not allowed without permission of the poster"-

"We would defend, but your establishing a war economy only serves to prolong this conflict. Retaliation is not the solution to this problem, which you seem very eager for."

Sorry, I wasn't even IN war economy at the time? I was going to war economy because I was concerned some jackass was going to attack me, and what do you know
some jackass attacked me.
So if someone launched a single strike at you, how do you defend? Someone comes and destroys your property and kills your citizens and then goes away, you don't show them why attacking you is a bad idea, and punish them, eh?Papa Zito - "Your signature has been blanked...we remove signatures at a users request if said signature references them, or if it quotes from a thread in the Speakeasy, which is not allowed without permission of the poster"-

I'm gonna have to agree with chesskid3. Even if it seems like a dumb idea to change to a war economy, you still have to have a way to properly defend your own nation... and quite frankly, if this gets really bad, we, too, might have to change to a war economy just to make sure we don't have too much problems with upkeep.

It's quite simple. You made a rather obvious sacrifice to your god of your best players, as you seem to not care much about the gaming industry. (Then again, these games aren't exactly the best out there...)In post 1510, Magua wrote:

Retaliation
The smoke over Oekkezia was still visible when the response to the Mechanican attack came. Dozens of missiles streaked out of Chesstopia and Elybria to avenge the losses suffered.
The Chesstopian missiles were aimed precisely at any known military target, blowing up airfields and bunkers all over the country, the Elybrian ones were more indiscriminate, hitting several cities.
Chesstopia fired 100 missiles at Mechanica Terram. Elybria fired 50 missiles at Mechanica Terram.
For Mechanica Terram 1 197 205 died. Severe damage was done to military assets and fortifications.-

While we remain neutral in this as in all surface matters, we're willing to predict the first country to be forcefully exited from Gazebo...In post 1514, inspiratieloos wrote:the Elybrian ones were more indiscriminate, hitting several cities.-

In addition we are currently deliberating on the Chesstopia Embargo."

Makes quite a lot of sense to me. However, you seemed to purposely have selected the top gamers to take care of a task that none of them were clearly capable of doing. In post 1515, Magua wrote:

I concur. The leader of Elybria seems to have gone mad.Magua from the next post wrote:While we remain neutral in this as in all surface matters, we're willing to predict the first country to be forcefully exited from Gazebo...

While the leader seems to be a normal person... at least, according to what we have seen from beforehand, we have to agree with Mr. Din'Finaci on this one.In post 1517, Lord Mhork wrote:In addition we are currently deliberating on the Chesstopia Embargo.
Embargo Chesstopia 3.0. Until both Elyria and Chesstopia 3.0 stop with this nonsense, we will have to keep the embargoes.

Er, yes? And that's why they were sacrificed. In post 1518, swyellowtail wrote:Makes quite a lot of sense to me. However, you seemed to purposely have selected the top gamers to take care of a task that none of them were clearly capable of doing.
Eventually, we'll be blessed by Armok with some who are capable of flying their UAVs through missile clouds and fleets of fighters on search and destroy missions.[1]
That's progress.
Until then, the Tower of Justice, etc.
[1] Well, assuming that Mechanica Terram survives the current brouhaha.-

Eh, I can't argue with that. You do what you can to please your God. I have no control over such actions. As long as it's not interfering with other nations, I'm fine.In post 1519, Magua wrote:Eventually, we'll be blessed by Armok with some who are capable of flying their UAVs through missile clouds and fleets of fighters on search and destroy missions.
