Nine players took their places. North, South, East, West, in which direction do scum lie?
One partnership is already running into problems, it would seem. When jklash12 sitting in North seat doubles after South's 1 D opening and West's 1 S rebid, passes partner's 2H bid, and shows a hand with zero hearts, it's the last straw.
"That's it, I'm not playing with you any more!" His partner storms out. Without anyone to play his dummy hand, jklash12 is out of the club...
jklash12,
Negative Double, Town Neighbor
, was lynched Day One!
Night One begins now. Any actions should be submitted within (expired on 2014-05-06 01:12:08)

I made an error in jklash12's flavor when flipping the lynch. The role and alignment were correct. The proper flavor has now been denoted; many apologies for the mistake.
Night One Flavor:
With jklash12's exit, the club returned to its usual level of activity. Bidding cards hit the table, cards rustled as they were returned to the bridge boards after each hand, pencils recorded contracts made and contracts going down. Not even a dull roar, really.
Could it really be that easy: one quarrelsome duo eliminated and smooth sailing from there? Surely not...

Okay, before anyone speculates as to the NK, I'm going to arrogantly claim that it's likely I was able to successfully dodge it. My role is a two-shot commuter. I had suspected that I may be shot overnight. Well, I suspected that it would probably be either me or enomis, and I don't know whether or not enomis is even town. I didn't think Antihero would be shot at due to the hammer. The rest of the players all had at least some suspicion on them and/or were probably a bit less prolific than I was yesterday.
There's another thing that now needs to be brought up. The Mod has made it a point to retroactively change the flavor to jklash's death scene. Given that this is a themed Micro, I think it's pertinent we try to speculate a bit as to what exactly her flavor means to imply. I know very little about Bridge that hasn't already been touched on. There are four seats, North/South/East/West. NS are partners and EW are partners, I believe. And, as the Mod stated, you are trying to take tricks to meet a bid.
I'm going to go ahead and fully claim since I see no point in holding anything else back at the point for me. I do not know -- and would probably advise against on a general level -- if anyone else should claim their role flavor. I do not know if that will help us scumhunt at all unless someone is more familiar with Bridge. My role flavor is Jacoby Transfer. I tried reading both of the articles for this as well as Negative Double on Wikipedia, but they're both kind of over my head and it's hard for me to really apply it to the game.
So, I don't know. I think we already touched on this a little bit when enomis joined us. Maybe this is just a dead end if no one can really explain it to us in layman's terms.
One last thing I want to say, it's important to understand that jklash was a Neighbor and not a Mason. This clears some things up for me as to why yesterday dragged a bit, but it doesn't really mean anything because jklash's Neighbor could ultimately still be scum. In essence, let's not be tempted to give anyone a pass just because they claim Neighbor with jklash.
VOTE: Malakittens
Mala has been rather meek and scatterbrained this game. I think she's our best bet for scum going into today. Wolfy is doing better for me. Egg and Lucky are both falling into scum territory.
I am a self-claimed expert on bridge. I have even won a trophy once from the game. But i see no relation with it and the flavour.
Do you think Antihero is scummy due to hopping of jklash wagon and later coming back to hammer without claim?

What about his unvote. What's his scum motive?

I dunno. I haven't voted him, have I? I'm just saying the hammer wasn't a big deal. The unvote was weird and threw me off, but like you say, I'm not sure if there's a scum motive behind it. It just felt off the way he switched over to Mala. Maybe he's jk's scum neighbor and didn't want to give jk a chance to claim because of the site meta of 1T1S neighbors. Maybe he's scum with Mala and wanted to distance a little. Who knows? It definitely seemed weird. Weird doesn't necessarily mean scum, but a lot of times there's more to weird things than we realize until we see a flip or two.
Like 2 days I think. It wasn't like right at the last second, but it was late enough that a new wagon wasn't happening and he was clearly aware of the deadline because he pointed it out to Mala.
In post 290, Antihero wrote:with rc's claim, i am now a lot more suspicious of mala's softclaiming
I missed the softclaim until I ISO'd Mala to find it just now. But what does that have to do with RedCoyote's claim?
In post 290, Antihero wrote:with rc's claim, i am now a lot more suspicious of mala's softclaiming
I never softclaimed jack. Also I think it's interesting you said something about me wanting to hammer w/o intent yet you did it with less than 2 days on the counter. So explain your reasonings to do that.
No matter how high the stakes, sooner or later you're just gonna have to go with your gut.
And maybe, just maybe, that'll take you right where you were supposed to be.
awesome attempt at trying to create the illusion of hypocrisy, though. i never dogged you on hammering. i called bullshit on you saying that you ever did plan on voting jklash in the first place. by the way, enomis already asked for a claim. jklash didn't give one or acknowledge the fact that he was asked for one even though he was at L-1. that's claim stalling and it should be met with swift death.
also, the special requests to not wagon you repeatedly is (at the
very
least) softclaim-ish. if you're now saying that it was all smoke and mirrors to begin with (which is what i suspected at the time anyway), that's even more of a reason to wagon you.
The distance between insanity and genius is measured only by success.
Egg. I tend to fake crumbs as town to draw the NK, but this game I didn't so blech whatever.
And time to finish mah Four hour ish shift

@Mala
so what were you doing in 253? I'm really (easily works well here too) confused.
You are telling us you were trying to draw the nightkill?
somebody taught me fake claiming as town is an anti-town thing to do.
Can you explain how a fake claim is pro town?
