I'm not opposed to a shos lynch either. I'm so lost about not_mafia that I can't get anything from his claims/reads. He's just not someone who has pinged me either way. I agree shos entry post felt forced and his fake-claim was meh.

I will definitely be back tonight and will place a vote with more of a read behind it. Seems my scum reads aren't happening. I'd like to say I feel better about SK but I don't really. I mean her big post was fine but nothing in there that made me go...yeah ok maybe she's town. I also still don't like the helium slot but it's based mainly on my early read and I have not been able to filter the noise since. I find myself tuning them out.

My role PM doesn't specify when I can talk but I asked Zach and he said I can talk until he tells me otherwise.

The reason I claimed is because I knew the way I changed my mind looked bad from the outside. So I figured I would be lynched if I didn't explain my reasoning and I couldn't explain my reasoning without claiming. I guess I just didn't put as much faith in neighbors as I do masons. When I was suggesting giving up day talk I wasn't thinking about there being masons.

I believe Not_Mafia's VT claim, by the way. It's pretty much the exact template I look for in a truthful D1 VT claim.

Fun stat: In the last 60 Mini Normals there have been 47 D1 Vanilla Townie claims. 4 have been mafia, 43 have been town.

Site meta at the moment is clearly trending away from scum going for a VT fakeclaim early in the game - they almost always claim a PR when they want to protect themselves. It's pretty much the standard play for any player with a couple of months or more experience. The standard town play iin response is (generally) to lynch that player because theoretically their claim shouldn't change anything. But it actually does. I would like to make a non-standard play and not lynch the VT claim. We have an opportunity to play one step ahead of site meta, because I am sure I am the only one who knows how lopsided these stats are at the moment, so this isn't a case of scum trying to wifom angle (occam's razor: it's much more likely his play is just like everyone else's who claimed VT D1).

This is probably unorthodox reasoning to not lynch someone, but it seems like a great idea to me. Vote shos.

Sorry for my rubbish/non-existent play this game, but a bulk of the thread has been egos butting heads and personal disputes and I've found it hard to generate any content in this

Apologetic about his play, acknowledges he was rubbish. Doesn't claim a good role. He clearly doesn't expect to live.

Even though his reads are wishy-washy, he still does drop a reads list too. These are all hallmarks of a true VT claim.

I was just about to waffle on whether N_M is town due to the VT claim but ninja'd by Hoopla. I do think that as scum, he'd be more likely to claim a PR to out one. I am not entriely sold on this and the paranoid part of me makes me think Hoopla told him to claim VT in their scum QT with daytalk. BUT, I have a pretty strong scumread on Shos. I was even telling Pie that Shos's posts are so bad he overtook Not_Mafia as the most scummiest player in the game. We might switch but we're going to discuss first sometime this evening. SaintK's post is decent and I agree with his positions although my issue is that there isn't anything new or insights that no one else has considered. It feels like a safe post that aligns with the opinions of the majority and that is worrisome.

I am still looking over JasonT1981's meta in the Wire. Pie and I are both more convinced he is scum after seeing all his latest posts and we actually managed to write up a case but I looked through a triple ISO of Cerulean/Jason/mod in The Wire and I can see where Tammy is coming from with the townread. I'm going to wall about it tonight so we can hash it out as it seems Imperium will very likely be killed tonight unless they are protected.

It's something I've been researching independent of this game, and this is the first opportunity I've had to share them.
