Obviously, this needs some serious tweaking in order to work. I've got some ideas to fix it, and I'll be fine tuning it a lot more before I run it again.
Thank you for playing!@thesupertriomusical on Instagram, come see it if you’re in LA area, I wrote it!-

What the hell third specialist?!
Well I knew I'd lost anyway, although I would have worked it for you instead of blackberry.

So gamsimbre lost us the mission. Oh well. I guess I should've pushed harder to be taken as explosives, but it'd help if the specialists actually claimed.

If gamsimbre had claimed it still would have been 50/50 chance of winning like it was.In post 82, Aronis wrote:So gamsimbre lost us the mission. Oh well. I guess I should've pushed harder to be taken as explosives, but it'd help if the specialists actually claimed.
Several people made bad calls:
Specialist should have claimed - although after I claimed my stats, I made it very difficult for gamsimbre to claim and not look suspect.
Merc should have claimed Specialist - claiming Henchman is pretty much playing against your wincon cuz you won't get picked
I personally think it's a fallacy to go for the "highest" score (although I assumed mob boss would be of this mentality and thus why I calculated my claim as such). But I suppose depending on the situation it could be beneficial if there was the potential one of them was a merc.
Cop Telo should have attempted an arrest. We only had a 50% of winning under the current circumstance. There was no reason not to attempt an arrest. You being confirmed cop does not hurt us. Do you mind if I ask why you didn't do so?-

I was waiting for someone to counterclaim you. As long as they didn't I was pretty sure you were going on the caper and we would win. I didn't need to arrest anyone. I checked it right up to the last minute. Honestly I was going to pick gamsibre because I thought the only reason he wasn't posting was because he was mob boss.-

I would have gone for gamsimbre too, only because a 5th henchman made more sense if gamsimbre was Mob Boss trying to fit in. MoS was my 2nd choice though because I didn't think MoS was Merc, I suspect MoS was Mob Boss or the real specialist screwing around or something. In post 86, Telo wrote:I was waiting for someone to counterclaim you. Pros of Arresting: 20% chance of arresting cop, thus, our 50% of winning becomes 60%
Cons of Arresting: None
Thus, one should have arrested.-

BBMolla- I do think you should host another one though ^_^. I actually think it's an interesting game idea that hasn't been tapped for its full potential in terms of how it can be played.
A few rule suggestions (these are just my suggestions):
1. If a Cop makes an arrest within the last 24 hours before deadline, the deadline gets extended by 24 hours. If I had made an arrest 1 minute before deadline, I would have still been on the Caper, even though I had just outted myself. I feel this goes against the intention of the Cops blowing their cover.
2. Allow Cops to talk in private, maybe even if just a little bit before the game, as to mimic a real life scenario where cops would plan ahead of time .
3. Shorter deadline, or some mechanic that permits players to vote on a shorter deadline maybe, i.e, "Let's decide which night we'll commit the Caper"?-

So, I actually thought that Blackberry was a cop for most of the game, which is why I asked if everyone had claimed. But since there was absolutely no reason for mob-aligned players to lie about their roles, I had to presume that BB was in fact a specialist who was just giving off weird vibes. By the time it came to vote, there wasn't any reason for me to think BB was a cop as a result, so I didn't spend any time thinking about whether to maximize Aronis or BB's stats. Also, BBmolla asked me for my choices while I was busy doing something far more important, or I probably would have swapped those two due to Aronis claiming his stats first and thus making BB's claim of the same max stat slightly less believable.
Other than that, I think we need a much shorter deadline and will admit that this game will run a lot better in person when you can make the game take 7-10 minutes rather than 1-2 weeks. I'll be discussing tweaks with BBmolla, and we'll most likely be running a subsequent game here for further testing. Thanks for helping everyone out!

2) I think pre-game talk is potentially warranted in the forum version. This game was originally designed for FTF play, though, which is why it wasn't included.
3) Shorter deadline for sure.Permanent V/LA.
