No sympathizer just means we play the game with an extra "you are not a cylon" card instead of the sympathizer card?

It's been a while since I've played just base by itself, so it really doesn't matter to me.

I will take Tom Zarek
and spend all my time trying to win the presidency
and do helpful things.

It also starts the resources a little lower and lets revealed Cylons draw three skills at the start of their turn rather than two, to balance things out.

Having a usual is for the weak!

We should probably invest in some Engineering before Gamma's sudden but inevitable betrayal.

I vote this. I think it's just less fun to be the sympathizer anyway.

I was deciding between cheif and zarek and I went for the player that I had played less for funzies.

That leaves PrivateI to pick a character. No pressure on him, but I want to get this rolling ASAP, so if he isn't here by 8, we'll roll with 5.
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.

Well, unfortunate, but 5 is a good number for Battlestar Galactica, and it makes No Sympathizer a non-issue. Loyalty cards are going out now. Everyone except Boomer should post their desired skill draws once they've got their loyalty cards, and Apollo should decide where he wants his Viper to be. To nobody's surprise, Roslin will be the President and Adama will be the Admiral.

OK, Engineering could potentially be a bit of an issue if we're not careful. Keep those Consolidate Powers handy...

Remember, Porochaz, you also have to decide what space area you want to launch into.

As far as I can remember (I've only played a few times, with CDB) I have to start either in 5pm or 7pm and the raiders go clockwise? So it makes sense for me to start at 5pm. (Could someone confirm that for me?)

5pm-or-7pm to start is correct but worth specifying that raiders will move whichever direction would take them most quickly to a civilian, defaulting to clockwise if it would be equal (as it is right now). So 5pm is, yes, probably the best starting position, but just be aware when multiple ships start coming out.

I'll just head to weapons control and shoot at the basestar with Galactica. 5-8 is a hit.

Boomer looks at a Crisis card at the end of her turn; i.e. after her Crisis step. So you don't get to see this crisis, but the next one.

Crisis Card is:

Missing G4 Explosives
Difficulty 7
Leadership
+
Tactics

Pass: No Effect
Fail: -1 Food, and all characters in the Armory location are sent to the Brig.
After Crisis: Activate Raiders.

Starting with Nexus and proceeding, add skills to the check. Please only post the number of cards you're adding, and PM those cards to me. If you know what you want to add, you can PM me in advance, but don't post in thread; I can post or you can when your turn comes around. If anybody wants to play a relevant card (Investigative Committee), we'll probably have to start over, but you're on the honor system to avoid abusing this- I'd have to be super strict about this.

i can throw in a card if enough other people can't, seven is not particularly high difficulty though so i would think enough people can throw in before me and it's probably best to leave at least one person out since everyone has at least one card they can put in here and it'll eliminate possibilities if it gets sabotaged

Good thing you moved out of the armory so you can't be brigged. Or is it?

Probably better to have Nexus and ChannelDelibird put in cards if they can since their turns are coming up, depending on what Nexus has of course.

I can help a little bit as well.
