I dunno. My kneejerk reaction to his case was to think he was scum because I didn't/don't believe he feels as strongly about my scumminess as he wants us to think he does.

A big "case" like that on page 7 seems super reaching.

Wow, this is like the second or third time you've said something like this. What is an acceptable page number for serious things to start happening? 10? 20? 500? Should town just sit with our thumbs up our asses forever and hope that the scum lynch themselves out of pity?

Cases and big ass game analysis are how we move the game forward. Reads and votes that mean something and pressure are how we move the game forward. An attitude like this implies that you just don't want to do anything, and more damning, you'd prefer that no one else did, either.

tbh i was very null (maybe even letting town) on reck because of the aggressiveness (i mean, i can't read it, but it looked pretty confident), but quil said he's like that as scum as well. can anyone else +1 this?

my only problem with reckoner is really his entry to the game. setup talk is good, but i know when i'm scum i try to be as helpful as possible with the setup. this game (if anyone wants to bother, its like the first two pages) : http://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.php?f=83&t=58457 is a good example of that. marky mark and i were both scum, and we basically talked about math and shit and tried to sound as stupidly useful as possible. we were called for it too.

@Parama: Keeping my vote on 34 would be doing absolutely nothing right now in terms of pressure, except maybe by proxy on 34's scumbuddy if he's scum. Pretty sure I said this earlier on at some point but I'd rather keep my vote on someone who's actually around at this point in D1 (i.e. with several days left til deadline). It's more useful in keeping the game moving forward that way.

@Reck: Okay, I don't think arguing about whether or not Quil's case is a solid one is going to resolve anything. You have reason to be biased because the case is on you. So maybe instead you can comment on other things that are happening in the game without someone having to figuratively pull teeth to get anything worthwhile out of you?

That's an extremely common scum tactic.

My read is basically the exact opposite of yours, I had as an early townread as there is some setup talk necessary and he actually kept it pertinent and kept moving us forward through that stage as opposed to others who waffled, it's the recent stuff I haven't liked.

This is really oversimplfying his case though, he talks about how your vote hopping and scatter gunning with lack of explanation indicates you're unable to articulate your reads. It's just you not having strong reads. You're painting him as a hypocrite when there's a reason he's voting you over everyone else who doesn't. have strong reads
