I'm PoEing this game hard, you're at an intersection of not being in my top townreads and being a potential lynch candidate but I could see putting you in over 1 or 2 people I have in a room at the moment.

Wow, Reck's claim is kind of genius, but I don't believe it for a second. And I'm afraid of a scenario where he "uses his role" targeting his scumbuddy, scumbuddy is like "lol yeah he's town" and then they coast to an easy victory. And it just feels so slimy to me because it's

the kind of fakeclaim bullshit shenanigans that's Reck's style. We could even try to negate this situation by dictating who he "confirms" to, but then he or his scumbuddy can just kill that person and be like "welp I confirmed myself to them but now they're dead trololol"

It's too completely perfect to be real, wow. Basically there's a bunch of scenarios where he could be have "confirmed" without actually confirming anything. But then on the 1% chance it's actually true, it seems really bad to lynch it... arrrrrgh.

clearly the town pre-determines who he uses it on (preferably someone seen as town or at the very worst not a potential buddy for reck) and then if he uses it on not that person, powerlynch

I'm mostly thinking his claim shouldn't change anything, because it's extremely unlikely to provide any pro-town results. On the off chance I'm wrong I feel really bad but given the circumstances it's prrrrroooobably the right play...?

@Bins: In the reck!town-confirmee!scum scenario, we lynch the confirmee once reck flips town. That one's actually pretty straightforward

that's what i was saying, i was responding to parama's point which didn't make full sense. we don't know reck's allignment, so if the confirmee dies it doesnt mean that reck is scum (which is what parama was saying)

If Reck isn't confirmed town tomorrow we can lynch him then, trying to drive a wagon on him today is silly but I'm not going to bend over backwards trying to create some sort of foolproof plan for him with his attitude to/in the game so far.

Yeah I'm not going to sit here and announce who I'm targetting with my friendly neighbor. That just tells scum who to kill, and I don't believe scum are restricted by rooms because then we could just NEVER GO INTO ROOMS and scum would never be able to kill and we'd get free lynches. Pie isn't an idiot.

The push by Parama is even worse.

You'll have to sit there and accept that there's a slight possibility that I could be scum gambiting and I could send my neighbor ability to my buddy who would "confirm" me as town but that would just result in mescum and my buddy putting all of our eggs in one basket.

I'm also worried that I'll be blocked, but I'm hoping scum's non-kill-abilities are restricted by rooms as well, and that we end up with me in an all-town room. Put me in a room with two townies that everyone trusts, and I'll pick one of them. I'm not announcing who I'm picking.

The more likely scenario is that I'm town and telling the truth versus I'm scum and am going to gambit with my buddy. Objectively, if you consider every avenue I have to take, it's still more likely I'm town.

I saw people suggesting scum would kill in the rooms which is why the game could last until Day 9.
