I'm well aware, but I'm also not aware of any actual way besides prods and replacement to get inactive players to be more active. Do you? Threats are pretty much the only way, and I don't want to decide the day's lynch based on activity rather than content.

I don't know about you, but my day one reads are almost never accurate. In my view, lynching a lurker removes a known negative utility for town that still has a shot at hitting scum. Unless I can get a solid scumread on somebody today, I'd prefer the lurker lynch.

Yes. That is exactly what I hope will happen. It's not even about those specific players. I just really hate when a game's tone is dictated by the people not playing it. We're forced to alter how we want to play based on people who aren't even posting. I really hate that. It ruins the game and makes it not fun to play.

I do believe that we should lynch all lurkers but I also believe we should make use of the extremely long deadline and give other people a chance to post more.
I doubt we are going to definitively find scum today, especially not with the activity level lagging so far behind like this on day one. I can only hope that people are able to start posting after the New Year's celebration.

because debating about theory is a good screen for scum to lurk through

you either want to lynch someone who is lurking or you dont and if the lynch goes through and you didnt support a lurker lynch then you bite your tongue because going after lurkers in this game is probably one of the best things we can do considering the assumption that scum will NK an active townie which will leave us two active townies down when we have like 4 of them (you me eyestott pasch) and that will create an extremely apathetic game

Scum are probably already lurking through it ANYWAY.

I want people to have a legit shot at being active so that the only possibility left for anyone to believe is that they intentionally lurked the game out.

I do want to lynch the lurkers. But cutting the day too short will hurt the game in other ways, namely giving a free pass to those currently lurking out the day for no good fucking reason.

this game needs fucking activity from the entire playerlist and likely scenario is they just havent even checked the thread so the mod is our best bet of getting them in here
