Yes there's not a lot to go on at this stage, but it does sound like the mod is wanting some more counting practice. 3 votes doesn't put him/her in too much danger of a lynch so I'll add my vote to the let's-hear-from-genku pile.

I'm also not sure that waiting for someone to make a mistake is going to help us much. Better to try and get the conversation moving a bit.

Here's my current thoughts:

We probably have at least 3 baddies amongst us. That means there's at most 7 goodies. 6 votes are needed to lynch, so we pro-towners must make sure and use our vote, or we have very little chance of catching a scum today.

I'll be voting for whoever hasn't put a vote on within 24 hours (unless they have a good reason)

Yeah, I wasn't suggesting we randomly lynch somebody, just that we weren't making a lot of progress.
If however, we do end up with a deadline, we will probably also end up with a random lynch because there wont be time to sniff out the scum.

Look, there is no doubt in my mind that Wacky is scum. It's quite easy to tell, just read some of the guy's posts.

You were right in the Simpsons game, but I went through and read Wacky's posts, and I still don't know how you can be so sure... If he's not scum and we lynch him you'll look pretty bad tomorrow.

However, he did make the first "mistake", and he also did suggest that we bandwagon the first to make a mistake.

Look, my point to both of you is this:
Using words like "obvious scum" and "no doubt in my mind" on Day 1 and without any hard evidence is either foolhardy, or scummy.

I'm quite happy to jump on the Wacky bandwagon right now. It was only his 3rd vote, and he has definitely been acting mildly suspicious.

My vote for Wacky was really to get him to talk some more, and he has done.

I did it was simply a reaction to genku's claim that he was 100% sure that Wacky was scum. I wanted him to be more careful.
If I had chosen slightly different words, but with the same intent, you probably wouldn't be on my case now.

That's all I can really say in my defence. But it would be a mistake to lynch me based on this.

I'm also the most suspicious of the quiet ones and the ones who aren't actively trying to make progress. However Wacky doesn't fall into that category for me.

This is just an idea, but I had a thought on how to get things moving. We could all post our 3 most suspicious players (with reasons) and see if anyone's name appears on most people's post. At the very least it would get some decent discussion going. What do you all think of the idea?

Hrmm I suppose I better chime in with my 3 most likely, seeing as it was my idea.

Now that I think about it, my newbie suspicions don't have a lot of merit, because experienced players would quite likely kill players that no-one would expect them to kill, to try and throw suspicion off themselves.

So here's my newly revised suspicious list:

1. rite. I know he had a powercut etc, but even when he's been here he hasn't contributed all that much...

2. Macros. Same as rite

3. r0ver. Because he said he was completely sure I was scum, but changed his tune when he didn't get a lot of backup. Also for admitting not paying much attention to the game.

In my opinion, unless a cop stupidly comes out, all day one lynches are essentially random.
I like quick Day One's. The fact that you guys have tried to apply logic to a largely illogical situation (and my stupid power outage) has kept me away from this game. I apologize for that.

I actually agree with you somewhat, and I've said the same kind of thing in a couple of other games, even though all I seem to get for it is suspicious fingers pointed in my direction.
However we've filled up 7 pages of posts now, there's got to be something in there worth commenting on? A purely random lynch would be a shame after all this time. With so many newbs in the game, we do kinda need the more experienced players to help out or we'll probably just keep going around in circles.

Macros was one of my 3 main suspects, mainly due to lurking. However I still think rite is more suspicious than Macros.

Jinx is not a bad lynch, lurker, and the Night 1 kills look like newbie kills.
