Well, heres the thing a bout vengefuls. They arent that good. Sure, scum can use them in fun little 'tricks'. But they dont actually progress the scum wincon except the ability to kill a without jailers and doc and blockers.


Given that the claim is that one of the top 3 players should have it, it stands to reason that by the time lylo rolls around well all be dead.

A free kill is a lot better for scum than it is for town, who might actually kill their own. Yet, someone in the top 3 chose it.

Already answered. I did an analysis of the roles picked in five runs of this setup because I wanted to get a role. This was the best one that wasn't taken in the first 3 rounds.

Number 3 had a better chance at getting a better role, number 2 still better, and of course number 1 had free pick. If I were in one of those slots I would have tried for something more useful, such as cop, doc, or tracker. That someone with a very good chance of getting what they wanted chose this role seems scummy.

I know it doesn't, but I think scum (especially newer scum) can THINK it does erroneously, thus, the motivation to claim: because they're under the mistaken impression it's safer than claiming VT, they will claim the role and hope it helps them live.
