I pushed ever onward, spurned forth by the will of every hunter that had come before me. If Paleblood was the means of escaping this harrowing affair, I would seek it to the ends of the Earth. If not in this reality, I would find it beyond the waking world. An overwhelming gravity pulled at my heart, as if what I sought was just out of reach.

Brygenwerth's tomes imparted the knowledge of various dreaming worlds--of nightmares that a hunter may escape into; realities akin to our own but twisted as our very dreams may be. I began my hunt for these nightmares, only to discover myself caught in one already.

It was there that I came across a mighty beast, impaled against a wall. I approached cautiously, as its imposing frame still flexed and shuddered despite the spear through its chest. It let loose a throaty growl, only to startle me by speaking. "Hunter. Destroy those who made us this way. Seek the Paleblood. End this miserable affair."

With that, he expired. I had known men to become beasts, but I had always thought beasts to be a forgone lot, incapable of thought. They were never anything but hunters for whom the Hunt had subsumed entirely. I would not fall to such an ironic, monstrous fate. And yet, I felt the worst was yet to come, prowling just beyond my senses, hounding me, torturing my very soul...

House was lynched on Day 6. He was
The Suspicious Beggar
, aligned with
Yharnam
.
The Beggar's role functions as follows:

Spoiler: THE SUSPICIOUS BEGGAR
The Suspicious Beggar
Image
Rancid beasts, every last one of us...
You are aligned with the Town Faction. Upon being Slain, you reward 5,000 Blood Echoes
It just goes to show, the corner beggar is not always who he seems.

You do not gain Insight.
Instead, you will gain Beasthood from slaying Town-aligned players.
You also gain Beasthood from Chalice Dungeon events that reward Insight.
You will investigate as scum.

Hunters are killers, nothing less! You call ME a beast?

If you ever have 3 or more Beasthood at any given time, you may access your BEAST FORM abilities.

BEAST FORM
: You hunters have got more blood on your hands.

At night, you may kill a player.
You may only commit this kill non-consecutively.

BEAST FORM
: You drink the blood of half the town, and now this! And you talk of beasts? You hunters are the real killers!

Instead of requiring a simple majority to lynch, you require two-thirds majority to lynch.

Certain Church hunters obfuscate their identities and slip into the nooks and crannies of the city.

You may only use this ability if you have less than 3 Beasthood.
Every time you slay a town player, you will be able to assume their identity.
You may only have one assumed identity at a time.
Any attempts to investigate you will return the alignment, role, and flavor of the assumed identity.
You will be rewarded an ability for assuming another player's identity.
The abilities rewarded this way are wholly unique to the slain player's identity.

Seek Paleblood to transcend the Hunt.

You are aligned with
Yharnam
, Home of Blood Ministration.
In order to win the game, all threats to Yharnam must be slain.
In order to win the game, at least one Yharnam-aligned player must be alive.

It is now Night 6. The deadline to submit night actions is
(expired on 2016-07-12 15:00:00).

I'm offering a shorter night--not just because I had a delay after the day-lock, but also due to the game state.
As always, thank you all for bearing with me. This game has been torturous for me as well. I am sorry.

I scoured Nightmare and Yharnam alike for any hunter that may join my cause. All I found were corpses and disappointment. Was this night intended to be such a torturous affair? Perhaps The Hunt never offered solidarity and was always this harrowing and, yet, I look back fondly on those more innocent days before everything was broken.

Even proud Valtr, master of The League of Hunters was one of the dead men I discovered. I silently hoped that he had died as he lived, a hunter of beasts, although the thought occurred to me that he must have felt the same despair and madness that I have. Yharnam was no sanctuary for any sane mind anymore.

Nevertheless, I must forge onward. I would not be perturbed by the state of Yharnam, the failures of its Hunters, and the decay of its sanity. I would emerge victorious. There simply were no other options.

Toogeloo was killed during Night 6. He was
Valtr, Master of The League
, aligned with
Yharnam

Valtr's entire role functions as follows:
Spoiler: VALTR
Valtr, Master of The League
Image
The League exists to expunge all vermin, ridding us of any trace of human corruption.
You are aligned with the Town Faction. Upon being Slain, you reward 2,000 Blood Echoes
HAVEN'T YOU SEEN ENOUGH OF THESE WRETCHED BEASTS, FREAKISH SLUGS, AND MAD DOCTORS?

You are the starting member and master of an organization called 'The League'.
Each Night, you may invite a player to be a member of The League. They may decline this offer.
The message sent to the player will include this ability's flavor text and will state that they will be rewarded for joining your ranks.

This bloody fate is ours alone.

During the Night Phase, you may communicate with all members of The League via a neighborhood PT.
After your death, remaining members of The League may still use this Neighborhood PT.

Sentence these fiends to death.

League Members who slay any other player will gain 'VERMIN', a resource that they may use to purchase various rewards.
After your death, remaining members of The League may still make these purchases:
IMPURITY RUNE
- 0 Vermin: You require one more vote to lynch so long as you are a part of a Neighborhood PT with other living members.
LEAGUE OATH
- 1 Vermin: Night Use, target a player. If they are a member of The League, they may not take any actions that affect you negatively during the Night Phase.
CONSTABLE'S GARB
- 2 Vermin: Slaying scum, any player with 3 or more Insight, or any Beasthood-using player will grant you double echoes.
MASTER'S IRON HELM
- 5 Vermin: Each night, you will be informed of how many Scum, players with 3 or more Insight, and/or Beasthood Players are left in the game. Only one player may ever have access to the Master's Iron Helm at a time--if the possessor dies, it will be available for purchase again. If the original Master of the League is dead, this item will also allow the owner to invite a new member to The League each night.

Seek Paleblood to transcend the Hunt.

You are aligned with
Yharnam
, Home of Blood Ministration.
In order to win the game, all threats to Yharnam must be slain.
In order to win the game, at least one Yharnam-aligned player must be alive.

My warpath to discover the truth left nothing but corpses in its wake. Despite how powerful I had become, it felt as though there was means of delivering a fatal blow to the Nightmare that had unsettled this horrid place. It is said that the victor always strikes first, and, yet, the more that I learn about these so-called Gods, the more I discover that they have been here since time immemorial. I was borne into a losing fight; all of us were.

And despite that, I pushed on.
Despite the madmen's whispers that I would join their crazed ranks, I fought through the harrowing city.
Despite the death of every hunter before me, I carved my own path.
My final destination was discovered to be my very first; the innocent Hunter's Dream that I had once found sanctuary in was now home to the final arena that Yharnam would know. I had been so blind--the truth was always in that very dream. Just as it sustained hunters, it sustained The Hunt.

Image

As I approached the top of the flower-laden hill, I saw the beast descend from the sky. In that moment, a weakness flushed over me. I could not do it. Nothing had prepared me for this fateful encounter. As it cradled me in its arms, I felt a new sense of belonging. Perhaps the Hunt was not so bad after all. I had found purpose there. I felt significant, for once. As the creature tightened its grip around me, there was no pain--only a sense of maternal comfort. I, like all Hunters before me, was a child of the Hunt. All the Hunters ever longed for was the Hunt. If it was a Hunt that these great beings desired, I would honor their wishes.

...and so, the Hunt begins again.

YHARNAMITES:

Spoiler: MICOLASH
Micolash, Host of the Nightmare
Image
As you once did for the vacuous Rom, grant us eyes, grant us eyes. Plant eyes on our brains, to cleanse our beastly idiocy.
You are aligned with the Town Faction. Upon being Slain, you reward 6,000 Blood Echoes
Ahh, Kos, or some say Kosm... Do you hear our prayers?

You begin the game as the Host of the Nightmare of Mensis:
http://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.php?f=90&t=66490
For every 2 players you invite to the Nightmare PT, you gain 1 Insight.
Every night, you may invite 2 players to your Nightmare PT.
If your Nightmare PT ever exceeds 3 players and you are not a member yet, you must invite yourself.

No, we shall not abandon the dream.

After your death, you may still invite a single player to your Nightmare PT each night.
Even if you die, you may still trigger your Nightmare Events.

No one can catch us! No one can stop us now!

Once per Day, you may trigger a single NIGHTMARE EVENT to happen on the following night.
Doing so prevents you from performing any other action during the night of the NIGHTMARE EVENT.

NIGHTMARE EVENT:

HEIR RUNE: Perhaps the "Heir" is a hunter who bears the echoing will of those before him.

If you die, you will pass this ability on to the player who hammers or kills you.
Upon hammering or killing another player, you will gain 1000 extra Blood Echoes.

And though they were a fierce and gallant duo, their partnership led to Henryk's tragically long life.

You may purchase the following armor set privately with Blood Echoes;
HENRYK'S GARB:
Costs 8,000 Echoes. Once per phase, you are immune to the first blocking ability used on you. You also do not take extra votes from [BOLT] or [LIGHTNING] prefixes.

Throwing Knives do not cause a great deal of damage to beasts, but with deft use, can distract attackers and keep them at bay.

You may purchase the following consumable privately with Blood Echoes;
THROWING KNIFE:

Oh, a hunter, are ya? And an outsider? What a mess you've been caught up in. And tonight, of all nights.
You are aligned with the Town Faction. Upon being Slain, you reward 4,000 Blood Echoes
Few hunters can resist the intoxication of the hunt. Look at you, just the same as all the rest...

Slaying any town player will reward you with double the amount of Blood Echoes.

HUNTER'S RUNE: This red-smudged rune means "Hunter", and has been adopted by those who have taken the Hunter of Hunters oath.

If you die, you may designate another player to receive this rune.
Double the amount of limited uses per day of any weapon effect.
This effect may never cause you to be the single voting player on a lynch.
In this way, even if you exceed the number of votes to lynch a player, another player must hammer.

The badge of the Hunter of Hunters is quietly passed down from generation to generation, usually to an outsider from the hinterlands.
You possess the item CROW HUNTER'S BADGE.
If you are ever slain, the items available for purchase here will be added to the public BathMessenger Shop.
You may purchase the following armor set privately with Blood Echoes;
CROW HUNTER'S GARB:
Costs 15,000 Echoes. You are immune to any targeted attempt to affect your role and actions except for that of Shaman Bone Blade // Exert Control.
You may purchase the following weapon privately with Blood Echoes;
BLADE OF MERCY:
Costs 15,000 Echoes. You may vote twice for a single player. This vote is indicated by the tag BLADE OF MERCY: Player Name. TRANSFORMED: You may vote up to two times with the tag BLADE OF MERCY (TRANSFORMED): Player name; players voted in this way require one less vote to lynch for the remaining phase--you may stack this effect, but this will only ever apply a maximum of one vote on a player.

Spoiler: IOSEFKA
'Iosefka', the Imposter Doctor
Image
This sickness, these beasts, they are not to be feared.
You are aligned with the Town Faction. Upon being Slain, you reward 8,000 Blood Echoes
You're soon off to hunt, I presume? Then, if you find any survivors, tell them to seek Iosefka's Clinic.

During each day, you may target a player to inform them that they will be rewarded upon slaying other town members.
They will receive a message that simply recounts this ability's flavor name and informs them they will be rewarded upon slaying town players.
If a player you have targeted with this ability slays another town player, they will receive the following rewards for each player slain:

I'll even offer a reward for your co-operation. Tempted? Well, off you go then.

Upon slaying their first town non-Beasthood player; A Blood Vial.
Your Blood Vial can be used to protect oneself from being killed during the phase that it is used.
If used at Night, your Blood Vial will protect oneself from being slain.
Players may only ever carry a single Blood Vial at a time.
If a player is ever given a second Blood Vial while they already have one, they will be given a choice.

The treatment is going well, stabilized, for the most part. Fascinating, really. Here you are, as promised.

Upon slaying their second town non-Beasthood player; A Numbing Mist, identical to the one gained from the Insight shop.

What would I ever do without you? You're really making a difference.

Upon slaying their third town non-Beasthood player; A Lead Elixir.
This Lead Elixir, when consumed, makes oneself unable to be affected by other role-based mechanics during the current and subsequent phase.

I've received another patient. This time, I'll be trying old blood. I've achieved much. And I owe it all to you. Take this, as thanks.

Upon slaying any player with Beasthood; A Blue Elixir.
The Blue Elixir, when consumed, makes oneself both unable to submit any other actions and unable to be targeted by any other actions.
If used during the day, this effect will also make the player unable to be voted for, but the effect will end if they vote or use any abilities.
The Blue Elixir's vote-immunity effect does not function in LYLO.

Ah, moonlit scents. How did you worm your way in here? Well, I won't make any excuses.

Every time that a player you have targeted with your previous ability slays another town player, you both gain 1 Insight.

God, it feels awful. But, it proves that I'm chosen. Don't you see? How they writhe, writhe inside my head... It's... rather... rapturous.

If, at any point in the game, you have 5 Insight, you will lose access to all previous abilities on your role PM.

By using phantasms, the invertebrates known to be the augurs of the Great Ones, one may partially summon abandoned Ebrietas.

Day-use, target a player. You must publicly use the bolded tag [AUGUR OF EBRIETAS: Player Name].
That player may not vote and your votes will count as double against that player the next time you vote for them.

TURN BACK, OR THE HUNTER WILL FACE THE HUNT.

During the day, you may activate this ability.
In order to do so, simply post the flavor name for this ability in bold in the game thread.
You become unable to use any other abilities or vote for the remainder of the day phase.
Any player that targets you with a vote or an ability during the day will receive [HEAVY MACHINE GUN] votes equal to 1/2 the votes required to lynch a player.

The late Powder Kegs, bless their souls, had a motto: "If a weapon ain't got kick, it just ain't worth it."

You possess the item POWDER KEG HUNTER BADGE.
If you are ever slain, the items available for purchase here will be added to the public BathMessenger Shop.
You may purchase the following weapons privately with Blood Echoes;
STAKE DRIVER
: Costs 6000 Echoes. You may submit a [Stake Driver] vote on a player instead of your normal vote--this vote will always be rendered, regardless of ANY other abilities in play. TRANSFORMED: Once per day, you may cause your next [Stake Driver] vote to count as votes equal to 1/3 the required votes to lynch a player (minimum 2). You will indicate this with the bolded tag [PRIMED STAKE DRIVER: Player Name].
RIFLE SPEAR
: Cost 6000 Echoes. You may submit a [Rifle Spear] vote on a player instead of your normal vote--this vote will never cause reactionary abilities to happen. TRANSFORMED: Night Use; Target a player. If that player does not take any actions, or if their actions failed for any reason, they will begin the day with a [Rifle Spear] vote on them that counts as two votes.
You may purchase the following armor set privately with Blood Echoes;
ASHEN HUNTER SET
: Cost 8000 Echoes. You are immune to NUMBING MIST // SCOURGE OF THE BEAST. You may never gain any Beasthood.
You may purchase the following consumable privately with Blood Echoes;
FIRE PAPER

You are aligned with the Town Faction. Upon being Slain, you reward 4,000 Blood Echoes
OUR PREY MAY DIFFER, BUT WE ARE HUNTERS, THE BOTH OF US.

Night Use, target a player. During the following Day and Night, you will recieve a unique COOPERATION NEIGHBORHOOD where you may communicate.

WHY NOT COOPERATE AND DISCUSS THE THINGS WE'VE LEARNED?

Players that are a part of your Cooperation Neighborhood gain 1.5 times the normal amount of Blood Echoes.
Any day ending in a scum lynch will result in both members of the Cooperation Neighborhood gaining an extra point of Insight.

LET US CLEANSE THESE TARNISHED STREETS

Slaying any Scum, Beasthood-Using player, or Vileblood will reward you with 1.5 times as many Blood Echoes.
This ability stacks with your other ability that multiplies how many Blood Echoes you receive, resulting in earning 3 times as many Blood Echoes.

RADIANCE RUNE: The executioners despise the impure Vilebloods.

Blood Vials will, in addition to their other effects, cause you to become untargetable during the duration of their protective effect.
You may not ever be a member of the Vilebloods.
If you die, the other player in your Cooperation Neighborhood will inherit this rune if they are not a member of a Vilebloods.

The Wheel symbolizes righteous destiny.

You may purchase the following weapon privately with Blood Echoes;
LOGARIUS' WHEEL
- 15,000 Echoes: Target any player who is not voting for you; that player receives a [Logarius Wheel] vote that counts as three votes. TRANSFORM: Every time you vote while this weapon is transformed, you permanently take one less vote to lynch to a minimum of 0, which will kill you. Every time you vote, your voting power is doubled for the current phase.

HAVEN'T YOU SEEN ENOUGH OF THESE WRETCHED BEASTS, FREAKISH SLUGS, AND MAD DOCTORS?

You are the starting member and master of an organization called 'The League':

This bloody fate is ours alone.

The Byrgenwerth spider hides all manner of rituals, certain to reveal nothing, for true enlightenment need not be shared.
You are aligned with the Town Faction. Upon being Slain, you reward 1 Insight
...A terrible shame. It makes my head shudder uncontrollably.

As long as you are alive, roles will not flip upon death.
Instead, lynches will flip at the end of the Night Phase and Kills will flip at the end of the day phase.
You gain access to these rolecards when they would normally flip.
You may choose to cause any, or all, information in the rolecard to never publicly appear.
This ability does not extend to role-related abilities that cause a public effect upon death;
Players will still be rewarded with Echoes and/or Insight as they normally should, and any other public aspects of a flip still occur.

Master Willem was right. Evolution without courage will be the ruin of our race.

You count as a GREAT OLD ONE for any mechanical effects that interact with GREAT OLD ONES.
You will investigate as scum.

As you once did for the vacuous Rom, grant us eyes, grant us eyes.

You begin the game with 4 Insight.
You may never spend Insight or gain access to Hunter's Weapons or Armor.
You may still use consumables and tools, however.

Metamorphosis, and the excesses and deviation that followed, was only the beginning.

You do not control a normal vote. Your name will never appear in the Vote Counts as a voting player.
Instead, you control three [SPIDER] votes that you may target players with.
Your [SPIDER]s may be voted for and each requires 1/2 of the total votes to lynch in order to be slain.
Your spiders confer no change to the game when slain, except to deprive you of votes.

You are aligned with the Town Faction. Upon being Slain, you reward no Echoes.
All hail the undying queen of blood!

Whenever you die, you do not flip any information at all.
Instead, you are removed from the game (as death) for the two subsequent game phases.
This still counts as being slain, and will trigger any mechanics that happen as a result of being slain.

Drink deep of Our blood. Feel the spreading corruption burn. Now, thou’rt too a Vileblood.

You are the starting member and master of the Cainhurst Vilebloods.
You do not count as a member of the Cainhurst Vilebloods for the purposes of any other effects in your role PM.
Each Night, you may invite a player to be a member of the Cainhurst Vilebloods, granting them access to a Neighborhood PT.
They may decline this request.

Blood Dregs may be spent as currency for the following rewards:
INSIGHT
- 1 Blood Dreg: You gain 1 Insight.
DEEP RESPECT
- 2 Blood Dregs: Other members of the CAINHURST VILEBLOODS may not target you with non-factional abilities.
CAINHURST ARMOR
- 3 Blood Dregs: No other player's ability may cause you to require less votes to lynch.
CHIKAGE
- 4 Blood Dregs: If you vote for a player who is not voting, your vote counts as double. TRANSFORM: Each time you vote, you permanently require 1 less vote to lynch (to a minimum of 0, killing you). Your voting power is equal to 1/2 the required votes to lynch any given player (if this number happens to be less than 3, you will instead simply cast 3 votes). In order to use this effect, use the bolded tag [TRANSFORMED CHIKAGE: Player Name].

CORRUPTION RUNE: Pledgers to this oath are Cainhurst Vilebloods, hunters of blood who find dregs for their Queen of coldblood.

All members of the Cainhurst Vilebloods have access to the CORRUPTION RUNE.
The first time that you are hammered each day, you will retroactively require one more vote to lynch. Has no effect in LYLO.

http://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.php?f=90&t=66497
No effect may cause you to leave the Hunter's Nightmare PT.

A CORPSE SHOULD BE LEFT WELL ALONE.

Even if you die in the main game, you are alive for all purposes within the Hunter's Nightmare PT.
You may submit any public actions within the Hunter's Nightmare, but they will only be able to affect other members of the Hunter's Nightmare.
You may vote for any player in the Hunter's Nightmare and your vote will be reflected in the actual game.
You may gain the benefits of slaying any player in the Hunter's Nightmare.
You may target players in the Hunter's Nightmare with any abilities.

Seek Paleblood to transcend the Hunt.

You are aligned with
Yharnam
, Home of Blood Ministration.
In order to win the game, all threats to Yharnam must be slain.
In order to win the game, at least one Yharnam-aligned player must be alive.

Spoiler: SIMON
Simon, the Harrowed Hunter
Image
Such inquisitive hunters will relish the Nightmare, but beware; secrets are secrets for a reason.
You are aligned with the Town Faction. Upon being Slain, you reward 3,000 Echoes.
Aside from a few close friends, Simon was scoffed at for his choice of arms, for who would dare face the beasts with a measly bow?

You begin the game with the weapon, SIMON'S BOWBLADE.
If you ever are slain, you may choose to have the player who hammered or killed you inherit the SIMON'S BOWBLADE.
SIMON'S BOWBLADE:
Any player that you are voting for may not submit vote actions. Signify this vote with the bolded tag [BOWBLADE: Player Name] TRANSFORMED: Night or Day Use, one-shot per phase. May not be used on consecutive phases. Target a player and submit either a role name or a flavor name. If the targeted player has the given role name or flavor name, you kill that player. Otherwise, nothing happens. If used during the day, you must use the bolded tag [AIMED BOWBLADE: Player Name].

High time someone exposed the whole charade.

Any time you gain insight, you may immediately spend it to count yourself as having gained 2 insight for the purposes of passively banked insight.
This form of banked insight explicitly does not count towards the totals required to trigger extra effects, such as those from [BOLT] prefixes.
If you have 2 or more insight banked, you may flavor-cop players on odd nights. This will only return fake-claims from scum.
If you have 5 or more insight banked, you may flavor-cop players on even nights. This will only return fake-claims from scum.
If you have 10 or more insight banked, you will always be able to see all flipped role info as soon as a death happens.

Seek Paleblood to transcend the Hunt.

You are aligned with
Yharnam
, Home of Blood Ministration.
In order to win the game, all threats to Yharnam must be slain.
In order to win the game, at least one Yharnam-aligned player must be alive.

Some places are better left untouched, and some secrets are better left alone.
You are aligned with the Town Faction. Upon being Slain, you reward 2,000 Echoes.
Do you hear the toll of the bell?

Each day, you may target a player.
At the start of the following night, your target may decide the begin the next day gladiating you (only you and the player may be voted for).
If the player declines, you will instead perform a kill on them.
The player will be informed that they will be killed if they decline the Gladiator challenge.

Unending death awaits those who pry into the unknown.

You begin the game with access to the BLOODLETTER weapon.
THE BLOODLETTER:
Any player that you are voting for can not submit votes or actions that target you. You must use the bolded tag [BLOODLETTER: Player Name]. TRANSFORMED: You may cause yourself to permanently take 20% less votes to lynch. If you do so, your next vote will gain enough strength to place the voted player at L-1, regardless of amount of other votes on the player. You must use the bolded tag [VICIOUS BLOODLETTER: Player Name].

The beasts you seek will not be found here.

You may not gain Insight or Beasthood.

Seek Paleblood to transcend the Hunt.

You are aligned with
Yharnam
, Home of Blood Ministration.
In order to win the game, all threats to Yharnam must be slain.
In order to win the game, at least one Yharnam-aligned player must be alive.

THE GREAT OLD ONES:

Spoiler: EBRIETAS
Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos
Image
Once, a group of young Byrgenwerth scholars discovered a holy medium deep within the tomb of Isz. This led to the founding of the Healing Church, and the establishment of blood healing. In this sense, everything sacred in Yharnam can be traced back to Ebrietas.
You are aligned with the Scum Faction. Upon being Slain, you reward 6,000 Echoes.
Do you know why the Hunters are drawn to this Nightmare? Because it sprouted from their very misdeeds.

You begin the game as the Host of the Hunter's Nightmare:
http://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.php?f=90&t=66497
For every 2 town players you invite to the Nightmare PT, you gain 1 Insight.
You may only invite a single player at a time to the Hunter's Nightmare, but may recruit once during both day and night phases.
If your Nightmare PT ever exceeds 3 players and you are not a member yet, you must invite yourself.
Once per Day, you may trigger a single NIGHTMARE EVENT to happen on the following night. Doing so prevents you from performing any other action during the night of the NIGHTMARE EVENT.

The rite failed to achieve its intended purpose, but instead created a small exploding star, now a powerful part of the Choir's arsenal.

This power only has three shots per game. Vote for up to 1/5 (minimum 1) the current living players with the tag [MOONLIGHT] to cause them to be unable to take any actions so long as the [MOONLIGHT] vote tag is on them. This tag is equal to two votes as well.
This ability does not allow you to lynch multiple players. The first player tagged with a [MOONLIGHT] vote that would be lynched by this ability will be the only lynch for the day.

NIGHTMARE EVENT
: Night of the Living Failures

All players in the Hunter's Nightmare incur a [MOONLIGHT] tag at the start of day phase, but gain 2 insight.
This event creates the Nightmare Boss, The Living Failures, which require 6 total votes to defeat.
This Nightmare Boss functions identically to how Chalice Dungeon Bosses do.
If defeated, any who voted against this Nightmare Boss will gain 2000 Echoes and may purchase the Parasite of Kos even if it has already been sold.

NIGHTMARE EVENT
: "The Secret of the Great Kosm"

You may only activate this event if both Simon and Maria are dead.
All players in the Hunter's Nightmare gain 3 Insight.
This event creates the Nightmare Boss, The Orphan of Kos, which will require 10 total votes to defeat.
This Nightmare Boss functions identically to how the Chalice Dungeon Bosses do.
If defeated, any who voted against this Nightmare Boss will gain 5000 Echoes, 1 extra insight, and begin the day with an [ORPHAN] vote on them.
If any player in the Neighborhood takes a night action, their action will instead fail and they will begin the next day with an [ORPHAN] vote on them.
[ORPHAN] votes power is equal to 1/2 the votes required to lynch a player.
A player can not have more than one [ORPHAN] vote on them.
Players who have their night actions fail in this way gain 5000 Blood Echoes and 4 total insight (which can total up to 5 if they fought the Orphan) from this event.

HAVE MERCY ON THE POOR BASTARD

Patches may never be removed from the Nightmare PT.
At night, you may have the Patches slot perform an action to cause a target player to fail all night actions but gain 2000 Echoes and 1 Insight. The player will be informed that Patches has performed this action.
During the day, you may control the Patches slot, post from it, and vote for players.
Patches may not gain Blood Echoes, Insight, Beasthood or any other abilities.
Patches may not be a part of any other Neighborhood or Nightmare PT.

NIGHTMARE EVENT

You may hold a miniature 'game' of mafia within your Nightmare PT.

The first player to become lynched is slain, following lynch mechanics.
If a lynch occurs, all players in the Nightmare Frontier gain 1 insight.

NIGHTMARE EVENT

You may cause any number of players currently in the Hunter's Dream 'awaken' from it and no longer have access to the thread.
Everyone expelled this way gains 1 Insight and all expelled players now take 1 less vote to lynch.
This Nightmare Event does not prevent you from performing other Night Actions.

Spoiler: PATCHES
Patches the Spider
Image
...Oh, a hunter of beasts, are you? Glory be. You know not the value you possess.
You are aligned with the Patches (Third Party) Faction. Upon being Slain, you reward no Blood Echoes
Now you're witness to a miracle, and all the stronger for it! You should appreciate it, if you've a grain of gratitude in you!

Each night, you may block any target player from performing any Night Actions. If this is successful, the player is notified that Patches the Spider prevented them from taking any actions, but this turn of events caused them to gain 2000 Blood Echoes and 1 Insight.

What a joy it is, to behold the divine.

You begin the game as a member of the Nightmare Frontier PT.

Not even death offers solace, and the blood imbibes you. Ha, a most frightful fate, oh my.

You may never gain Blood Echoes, Insight, Beasthood, or any other abilities.

Well, you weren't to know, and it wasn't for you to know. All's well, that ends well, I say.

You may never be a member of any Neighborhood or Nightmare PT that isn't The Nightmare Frontier.
This explicitly prohibits you from becoming having any part in the Hunter's Party.

If the fates are kind, out paths may cross again. Sooner still, if you were to take the leap...

There is another player in the game whose fate yours is tied to. You will be told at the start of the game which player this is. If this player ever dies, so do you.

Oh, doubt me not, sweet compeer. What is friendship, but a chance encounter?

You are aligned with

CHALICE DUNGEONS

Here's a quick rundown for what I want there:
Each Chalice Dungeon will have a 'Depth' rating that will reflect its difficulty and level of reward.
Completing a Chalice Dungeon rewards Echoes equal to its depth x 2000 AND 1 Insight. Depth 5 dungeons reward 2 insight.
The Master of the Hunt will always receive 1 extra Insight when gaining Insight this way.
The Master of the Hunt will receive Depth x 3000 echoes on completing a dungeon.
Leaving a Chalice Dungeon without defeating the final boss rewards Echoes equal to its depth x 1000.
The Hunt Master is always the first player in the 'Line Up', with his choices making each next player in order.

PTHUMERU:

Pthumeru Chalice
- Depth 1 - One player must elect to take 2 less votes to lynch the next day to proceed through traps - Boss: Watchdog of the Old Lords/5 votes, counts as a Beasthood Holder, last two players in the Line Up incur [FIRE] votes.
Central Pthumeru Chalice
- Depth 2 - Two players must accept [FIRE] votes on them for the rest of the game to proceed beyond fire-throwing enemies - Boss: Pthumerian Descendant/6 votes, first player in the Line Up takes 1 less vote to lynch permanently.
Lower Pthumeru Chalice
- Depth 3 - One player may forgo taking any non-factional night actions in order to purchase any WEAPON even if it has already been bought - Boss: Bloodletting Beast/8 votes, counts as a Beasthood Holder, last player in the Line Up takes double votes for the rest of the following day.
Defiled Pthumeru Chalice
- Depth 4 - All players must make themselves require 1/2 votes to lynch the following day instead of the usual majority - Boss: Amygdala/8 votes
Great Pthumeru Ithyll Chalice
- Depth 5 - All players must lose their non-factional night action to proceed through difficult monsters - Boss: Queen Yharnam/10 Votes - All players receive a [POISON] vote.

HINTERTOMB:

Hintertomb Chalice
- Depth 2 - The team must divide 5 [POISON] votes amongst themselves - Boss: Blood-Starved Beast/7 Votes - Counts as a Beasthood Holder, all players but the last one in the Line Up take a [POISON] vote.
Lower Hintertomb Chalice
- Depth 3 - The team must divide 10 [POISON] votes amongst themselves - Boss: Pthumerian Elder/7 Votes - All players receive a [FIRE] vote.

LORAN:

Ailing Loran Chalice
- Depth 4 - A single player may forgo all of their non-factional night actions to explore the dungeon thoroughly and get a BEAST CLAW weapon - Boss: Abhorrent Beast/10 votes, counts as a Beasthood Holder - The first two players in the Line Up receive a [BOLT] Vote.
Lower Loran Chalice
- Depth 5 - Players may only proceed to the boss if they can muster up 8 votes, but Beasthood-damaging votes work here as well as they fight through Beasts - Boss: Loran Darkbeast/12 votes, counts as a Beasthood Holder - All players receive a [BOLT] Vote.

ISZ:

Great Isz Chalice
- Depth 5 - All players must forgo taking non-factional night actions because they are lost in the dungeon -Boss: Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos/15 votes, takes the extra [BOLT] damage, will place a [MOONLIGHT] vote on the first two players in the lineup.

MISC FLAVOR MESSAGES:

Spoiler: Joining Iosefka's Chosen
Through a closed door of a clinic, a woman makes the following proposal;
"You're soon off to the hunt, I presume? Then, if you find any survivors, tell them to seek Iosefka's Clinic."

So long as the player who used this ability on you lives, you will be specially rewarded for slaying town players.

Spoiler: Obtaining a Blood Vial
In Yharnam, they produce more blood than alcohol, as the former is the more intoxicating. In preparation for the hunt to come, you have become well stocked with the curative blood of Yharnam.

You have been granted a Blood Vial.
You may only ever carry a single Blood Vial at a time--if you ever would receive another Blood Vial, you are given a choice of which to keep.
You may use this Blood Vial to protect yourself from being killed during the phase that it is used.
If used at Night, this Blood Vial will protect yourself from being slain.

Spoiler: Being Challenged by the Bell
In the distance, you can hear a small ringing noise. The sound is enchanting at first, although dread soon sets its cold fingers around your heart as you realize the implication of this sinister bell's toll. Someone is coming to kill you tonight.

You have two options:
Attempt to Flee: You will be the target of a killing action tonight.
or
Fight your Pursuer: The following day, all players may only vote for you or the player who targeted you with this effect.

Spoiler: Cainhurst Invitation
During your travels, you come across an old blood-stained letter, inviting an honored guest to the forsaken Castle Cainhurst. Rather bafflingly, it is addressed to you. You consider the offer, knowing full well that Cainhurst is the home of the Vilebloods, accursed noble knights who hunt down others to feed their queen's thirst for blood.

You may join the Cainhurst Vilebloods.
Doing so will not change your alignment or your win condition.
Joining the Cainhurst Vilebloods will allow you unique rewards.
You may decline this offer. If you do not accept by the end of Day 2, the offer will be declined.

Spoiler: The League Invitation
You've come across a group of hunters that calls themselves 'The League'--you have heard whispers of their involvement in hunting the 'Vermin' of Yharnam. It is not long before their invitation makes its way to you, proposed straightforward, "Haven't you seen enough of these wretched beasts, freakish slugs, and mad doctors?" A stalwart proposal, although many believe the League to be infatuated with the Hunt, seeing Vermin where there are none. There's only one way to know for sure...

You may join The League.
Doing so will not change your alignment or your win condition.
Joining The League will grant you unique rewards.
You may decline this offer. If you do not accept by the end of Day 2, the offer will be declined.

Spoiler: An Encounter with Patches
A display of shining coins leads you to a shiny vial perched on a ledge. As you lift the vial to see what it contains, a shove from behind sends you hurdling into a canyon filled with beasts. The tell-tale laughter of Patches The Spider can be heard from above as he mocks you, "Don't dally, you lucky scamp! The gift of the godhead cometh!" You ready your weapon to fight the beasts that surround you--it seems you will get nothing done on this night other than fighting your way out of this pit.

Patches the Spider has prevented you from taking any actions during Night 1. However, as you fight your way through beasts, you do find some wealth in this turn of events. You gain 2000 Blood Echoes and 1 Insight.

Spoiler: Receiving a Messenger's Scroll
The messengers carry small scrolls from worlds unknown. Through the night, you have come across the following message(s);

NIGHT 1 ANONYMOUS MESSAGES:

Hasur and Muriel to Reasonably Irrational:
Spoiler:
Hey, this is a message from the person that sent you the blood vial that prevents you from being killed or restores a one shot ability to multi-shot. I'm keeping my identity anonymous for now, but if I ever reveal it in the future, I'll say the word "Vermillion" in the thread. If you want another vial, say the word "Viridian" somewhere in the thread, I'll try to get you one.
Also, some important information: my role mentions something called the “Cainhurst Vilebloods.” I’m guessing it’s either another faction, making this game multiball, or that killing them is how scum gains Insight. Just my own speculation. I’d like you to tell the thread of their existence, since I plan to remain anonymous.

Reasonably Irrational to Gee Willikers:
Spoiler:
Hey, this is Reasonably Irrational. My first post tomorrow will start with the word Reciprocity, on it's own line. Elbirn and I have decided that if you and ABR are scum together and decided to claim masons D1, you deserve to win, so we're going to full claim to you. Hopefully we're in the party tonight because of the reasons I'll outline here. If we are, please don't mention any of this to any members of the team. I expect you to tell Mixed6, but again, impress upon him the importance that he doesn't share it with anyone or hint at it.

We are an undying neighborizer who enhances members of our neighborhood. Thus, the mechanical benefit of us being huntmaster.

We will not be telling ANYONE else in the game about us being undying, to maximize our ability to draw a kill in case we do accidentally recruit scum, and the most we will claim if pushed is that we can give people access to new powers, but we will not out the neighborhood we enable or the exact mechanics by which we empower people.

Because we can't die, all benefits which would accrue from successful hunts will never be lost to town. Particularly if they're insight based, we can attempt to stockpile it and never risk losing access to the resources it provides. In addition, we give no echoes when attempts to kill us are made(either through lynches or any other slaying method in the game), so as an individual occupying the "high priority" target role of huntmaster, we increase the chances of scum wasting a shot on us, which is even more damaging than it would be in normal circumstances.

The second benefit is from our neighborhood. By controlling who enters the hunt and who is in our neighborhood, and utilizing these messages, we can organize town outside of the view of scum/maintain hidden lines of communication, and simultaneously provide town players with extra abilities/powers that will assist them in completing hunts and staying safe. Our neighborhood is, however, only open for talking during the night.

Our neighborize is not mandatory(that is, we don't have to use it every night) and the targets do not have to accept joining our neighborhood, they do not know who we are until they join, and they simply receive a rather ominous flavor message inviting them to join us and telling them that they will be rewarded if they do.

Now, regarding randomidget. He is going to be our first neighbor. He enhanced us with something that gives us additional benefits whenever a town player is lynched, as long as he remains alive. We don't yet know what benefits this will give us given the lynch was on scum today, but mechanically it seems extremely unlikely that he would enhance us with such a power were he groupscum at least. It's not impossible for him to be a third party of some sort, but group scum would just enhance their own team I assume. Plus he was one of the first people on the Bogre wagon. Anyways, he is town, he will be invited today so he may benefit from our powers today and so we can figure out what exactly his ability does for us.

A note from Elbirn about the above paragraph:
I would add a bit to the explanation of rando's ability and why it makes him likely town. You covered it with the fact that it'd make more sense for him as scum to use it on a scumbuddy, but (dumb as it may sound) what really gets me is the flavor text of it. It strongly implies the user is town imo, where it says "as long as the user is still alive you get rewarded for killing town", aka "as long as the town player you mislynch or kill isn't the person who used this, you get rewarded". Ya know? The only way that paragraph could even be necessary would be if it was a scum ability used on a townie, and then at night that townie vigged a town while another townie vigged the user. If that makes sense.

I would also nitpick that you should note that his flavor says we get a reward for slaying town, so either by mislynch or nightkill of some sort. Who knows, maybe they're a vig too.

Tomorrow night we are planning on inviting you. This should create nicely interlocking communication channels while enhancing someone we're certain is town(or scum who simply deserves to win for the massive pair you must have doing something like this).

I'm currently uncertain whether to focus on neighborizing the same people I'd hunt with, and thus consolidate power, or if I should specifically neighborize town reads who we don't hunt with, to go wide with the towns power, rather than tall. Something for you to think about.

We are going to be using the following code with Random to identify what exactly his enhancing gifts us with, since we can't ask him during the day.

A=Blood Echoes
B=Insight
C=Shop Item
D=Unique Weapon
E=Unique Armor
F=Roleblock
F=Bodyguard
G=Neighborize
H=Watcher
I=Tracker
J=Rolecop
K=Vig
L=Sensor
M=Doctor
N=Commute
O=Cop(lol)
P=Bulletproof
Q=Gladiate
R=Loved
S=Masonizer
T=Jailkeeper
U=Gunsmith
V=Ascetic
W=Lynchproof
X=Empower
Y=Other, not listed.

If the ability is unlimited, follow the letter with the number 0. Otherwise, the number following indicates, depending on which item it is, how many thousand blood echoes, how many shots of the ability, or how far down the list of items in the shop the effect is located.

Also, did you gain a blood vial from yesterdays lynch? We did, it's a one shot self doc(lol).

If so, please have a post of your own early in the day with the word "Virtue" followed by the answer to this question, and information regarding what the vial does if you did receive one, using the above code.

Oh, one more thing: If you disagree with our recruiting of you tonight, and have a suggestion for a better target, say "I disagree." Followed by a letter. Use the list above to tell us who you think we should invite by using the last letter listed to refer to the first person on the player list if you order them alphabetically(and including all players who were originally in the game, dead or not, and going by their original player in case of a replacement). So, if you were to say Y, I would know you're referring to Almost50. You can use that same mechanism if you ever want to refer to a specific player and want us in particular to know who you're talking about. It's a little bit of work, but fairly simple.

Anyways, hopefully we're in the party. We're going to be purchasing the Saw Cleaver as soon as the day starts, because the doubled voting against beasts will work against bosses in chalice dungeons who are beasts, so assuming we get your support for our presence on the hunts/as huntmaster, that will maximize our ability to attempt more difficult dungeons earlier in the game.

Nahdia to Daenerys and Dragons:
Spoiler:
Ssssshhhhh. This is a code. It might be used, it might not be used. But if you go and blab about it, it's totally useless!
It's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poison rationality.
-Patches the Spider's "Master"

Daenerys and Dragons to Nahdia:
Spoiler:
Hey Nahdia, we both agreed you were a good choice to receive this. There are some parts of our claim we didn't reveal. We are a Miller and we are the cause of the flips delaying, so we are a highly negative utility for town. We didn't want to claim this in public due to all the warnings Varsoon gave about claiming. We can see Bogre's flip currently, it's a mass Moonlight vote placer and host of the Hunter's Nightmare. We will say cupcakes to confirm this is from us tomorrow. Please keep this private for now.

-Daenerys and Dragons

Heuristic_Arrow to Randomidget:
Spoiler:
Ranger is scum. Don't worry about anything else tomorrow! (This message is brought to you by Ranger.)

Ranger to Rylai and Lina:
Spoiler:
Yo.
For a start, I know I'm not supposed to fullclaim, so I won't, especially since while I know there's no mechanic that can block my message, that doesn't mean there's no chance that someone could read my message. But! Partial claim. As long as there's no mechanics which can override it (and knowing Varsoon, there very well may be), and assuming I don't get lynched, I won't die this game at all.

So, sending reads isn't as vital as it would be normally. I can talk to people tomorrow. (There's also no need for me to establish a code which could come from me and only me. While I imagine a Ranger impostor is possible, given that I'll still be alive no matter what, I'll be able to verify tomorrow that it was, in fact, me talking to you.)

I still figured it'd be best to get caught up during the night, and I figured that I might as well send someone my thoughts when doing so. I'm choosing you because I was actually typing up a response to your 1849, when the thread was locked. For a start, here it is:
RyLina wrote:your reads on me and Fire assassin back and forth?
Did nothing to change my read: Fire Assassin's slot is a scumread (their content has only strengthened the read there) and you're still one of my strongest townreads.
and your read on shinobi's recent posts?
Did nothing to change my read: Shinobi is still my strongest scumread.
what is your read on shadow?
Still a scumread.
Liger Zero wrote:I am not liking this lynch on Bogre, even though I have yet to read his posts, just the way its going down and the consensus on it, I don't really like.
^Guess who is a very,
very
strong candidate for being a Bogre scumbuddy? Especially given this:
I have no preference over Bogre, I just don't like the consensus going on.
^That is a scumbuddy's defense.
I read the mechanics and the hunting party and all that sounded interesting, but the obsession over it in day talk is kind....odd?
This is also dissonant with his earlier post, 1800. 2264 is also a scumclaim from him.

Most of the content I've read since then hasn't really changed anything, though I do send my <3 to you after what you had to go through, FA. Keep calm, be the angel I know you can be, and don't let them get to you. You are wrong about Reasonably Irrational though; they're town, even if you don't like it. Please don't read them off of their attitude to you.

In read updates, Toogeloo
is
slightly more likely to be town, for 2156; if Toogeloo is scum, then he would have had to have bussed two scum in there (Bogre+Liger), which--while not impossible--is not particularly likely. 2202 makes me sort-of think Bogre was a ridiculously strong scum role (I know, Varsoon is going to point to 2231, but I can't help thinking what I am thinking anyway), meaning scum were less likely to be involved in that wagon. 2265, while also reason for Liger to be scum, makes Toogeloo even less likely.

So!

You get to be the first to see my D2 readslist.
{D&D, RyLina, Gee Willikers, Sensei, Nahdia, Reasonably Irrational, Mixed 6, Almost50}
{Klingoncelt}
{Hastur, Xkfyu, randomidget, Toogeloo}
{Zulfy, heuristic_arrow}
{PeregrineV, Shadow_step}
{Patches, Shinobi, Liger}

I will, of course, be posting this as soon as I get the chance D2, but you get it first and can ask questions about it come dawkbreak.

Toogeloo to Nahdia:
Spoiler:
"Ahh, a new face, are you? And an accomplished hunter... it would appear. I am Valtr, Master of the League. Members of the League cleanse the streets of all the filth that's spread about during the hunt, like any half-decent hunter ought to, you know? Haven't you seen enough of these wretched beasts, freakish slugs, and mad doctors? Sentence these fiends to death with the help of your League confederates. What do you say? Why not join the League?"

Liger_Zero to Reasonably Irrational:
Spoiler:
I am sending you this message because for two reasons:
1) I trust you. You are a strong town read for me.
2) I think their is a good enough chance you will also be alive considering you didn't win the huntsmaster.

I am neighborizing Nahdia tonight. This will have a possible positive affect for the town if she is town. I don't know if I trust Mixed as much as you, though that flip gives me hope. If for whatever weird reason I am dead in the morning, which I doubt since I don't think I am a high profile target, you know what action I was taking.

PeregrineV to Almost 50:

fun emu can moo off toy poo flu car tub you yes ski can see has abs

Randomidget to Reasonably Irrational:
Spoiler:
"I'm using my ability on someone else tomorrow, but the effect stays on you so you would both recieve the benefits. - randomidget

Almost50 to Reasonably Irrational:
Spoiler:
Well, I've tried to keep it short but couldn't, so bear with me.

First: The reason I've chose you to PM is bc Cerb practically invited me to this game (see post #5896 in Soccer Spirits main thread), so I thought I owe him and wanted to put his mind to rest at this fronteir.

I'm town, bc I simply try avoiding to lie unless it's absolutely necessary. Check post @1123 in SS! Ok, check post #2391, where not only did I claim scum, but excplicitly said DDO was my scum partner!! Did you see any of that here?

Also, would it make much sense to you that I will pick YOU (as opposed to -say- FA or Nahdia) to PM only to tell you an outright lie? Just think about that for a minute.

Now here comes what I've got so far: Frozen/Shiro is 100% town. I even think I know their character. SirCakez/Lillith maybe scum (not positive, but I think they are. I will maintain a slight-moderate town read in public on their slot for now though.). We will see if is scum at the start of D2, as both myself and him will start the day with a [FIRE] vote on each of us, which should appear as TWO votes on him if he has Baesthood. (This is another way to confirm my alignment to you).

Finally, please don't mention this PM or it's contents unless I'm dead. If I am, feel free to use it hwoever you please.

Edit: I'm now also mildly suspicious of the Ircher+harrow slot bc SC called them both lynchbait (which is true) before they even posted. I'll repeat: My reason is he said that before they even posted. If he IS scum this is meaningful. If I'm mistaking about his identity, then it's probably nothing.

Edit2: Weguerts+Dwlee are controlling Patches, “I think.” I'm not scum reading that slot myself though, but that's mainly based on a meta read on each of the heads.

Rylai and Lina to Mixed6:
Spoiler:
Hi ABR , this is Rylai speaking , I will start next day with saying "Swift as the wolfs of Icewrack" to confirm this message is coming from me.

I have a role that might autowin or auto loose the game. There is a harmony of power going on here , that somehow some part of it might get outed next day. The way my character acts make it immune to most of the extra damages dungeons might have for others and my power is going to be very useful in facing bosses and beasts.

My extreme powerful role make no sense as a part of a scum group and I wouldn't out these info if I was an SK so please trust me.

I hope this is not getting in the wrong hands , as both of us (me and shiro) beleive your town.

Shiro is really busy these days but this hydra is getting controlled by both heads so please don't say things like that about me dominating this , as its not true. I genuinely think cerb acting like he has a null read on me but advertising against me being in a hunting party of yours is hypocritical. he doesn't even beleive I'm scum and he can't stand someone else townreading me? not townish.

I started to think Ligerzero is town , as Fire seemed extremely frustrated when he left the game but I'm looking there closely.

Look close at shadow, specially if I died and he didn't.

~Rylai And Lina , The sisters of Ice and Fire

Klingoncelt to Mixed6
Spoiler:
I just found out I'm in a Hunter's Dream PT.

I was given a Hunter Axe, so I don't think I'll need the Saw Cleaver.

Be very careful of Almost50. I'm getting pings off him just like I did in the Soccer Spirits game - I regret not scumreading him then. Maybe I'm too paranoid, I dunno. Just be careful.

Patches the Spider to Rylai and Lina:
Spoiler:
Greetings, Rylai and Lina. It is I, Patches the Spider. I do hope you've learned you can trust me. I thought I would first and foremost extend my apologies. Assuming no interference were made, you undoubtedly already know what I'm referring to, yes? Well, just in case not; I attempted to shove you down a very dark hole, tonight. Really though, you should be thanking me! Experiences are, after all, the truest form of wealth in this world. In your case, this experience should have granted you some wealth of knowledge, correct?

Perhaps you are thinking "Why me?" There are a few reasons. The first is that, with your ability you so kindly demonstrated in the course of yesterday's debate, my Master suspected you would be less likely to have a critical night action which I would be tragically stopping. Our... sincere apologies, if that was in fact the case. But now, your pool of knowledge, your "Insight", should have doubled. This means you should start the second day of this game being told how many scum players remain. The sooner we gain that knowledge out of someone who is trusted, and we do trust you, the better. Please out the report immediately tomorrow. Once you do, I will publicly confirm that you having two insight is my doing.

Thank you for your cooperation, good hunter of beasts. May we meet again!

Mixed6 to Almost50
Spoiler:
Hi here Almost50,

This is Zorblag speaking for Mixed6.

First off, thank you for taking the time to step back and listen when we were talking to you during the game. I know that you had a huge scum read on us early, and the ability to break out of that tunnel is going to be hugely helpful for the town.

The role that I'm working on for you right now is unofficial hunter's party member. Once you've got the Monocular you're going to use it to spy on some member of the Hunter's Party. This is mostly so that you're seeing all the information that we're sharing in there and can act on it, but you'll also be letting us know if the person that you're spying on is in other PTs. I want you on the lynch today to earn more insight and to earn more Blood Echoes, but you'll see what the lynch looks like as the day goes on. Be ready to move fast when the time comes as when we get started we're going to be going full throttle.

First priority for spying is Ranger. If she's alive, spy on her. If Ranger is dead then spy on Klingoncelt. If both of them are dead then spy on Reasonably Irrational. If they're all dead then the hunting party doesn't exist, so use it at your discretion.

I don't think that you'll have enough insight to get the report on the number of scum and town in the game after tonight, but here's the code that you're going to use to let us know what happened at the end of your night actions. I am not the only one who knows this code, but I'm not going to go into details on it now other that to say that the Hunting Party will still understand you even if I'm not there. Post it in the game thread as one of your first posts.

The code is a time based on. Don't worry about it being out of character. Be honest that you're passing information to someone if asked, but don't say who. There should be plenty of these flying around if people are playing well, so yours won't stick out, but even if it does, the Hunting Party has your back as you've thoroughly convinced us that you're town.

The code will be Day of the week, Month, Date, Year.

For example: Sunday, January 1, 1350.

Put that on it's own line, bold. Possibly as the only thing in a post.

The meaning is as follows:

The day of the week will tell us if you were successful in gaining the powers you're trying to.

Monday means you have the Monocular, but not the insight to tell us how many town and how many scum there are.

Tuesday means you have both.

Wednesday means you know how many scum and how many town roles are in the game, but that you do not have the Monocular.

Thursday means that you have neither.

If you have the Monocular then the month tells us how many PTs Ranger (or whoever he spied on) is a part of. January for just the Hunter's Part, February for two total, March for three, and so forth. If you does not have the Monocular then this one is meaningless and you can choose any month.

The date tells us how many town roles are currently in the game. E.g. the 14th would mean there are 14 town.

The year tells us how many scum roles are currently in the game. It will be the amount beyond 1350. E.g. 1354 would mean 4 scum roles.

Both of those are random if you don't have the ability to know that information (which you probably won't.)

Beyond that I don't have anything vital to share for now other than to watch the Hunter's Thread for instructions about the bowblade. We will be talking about scum there and who we think they are. At some point we might want you to pin someone we think is scum with their vote in a bad place. If you can act quickly when we call for that there we can potentially take them by surprise and wreck the day for the scum team for the second time in a row.

I wish I could answer any questions you might have about any of this, but that'll have to wait for now. Thank you again for paying attention in the game. You're going to be a huge asset to this town (and already have been.)

-Zorblag R`Lyeh

GeeWillikers to Reasonably Irrational:
Spoiler:
"Almost50 is town and probably has the Monocular (he should have triggered a purchase of it at the start of day when he got enough Blood Echoes. Today he's going to be using to spy on Ranger. If Ranger is dead then he will spy on Klingoncelt. If they are both dead he will spy on you. There's also a small chance that he'll have enough insight to know how many scum and how many town there are. He'll be sending the following code early in the day to the public thread:

Day of the week, Month, Date, Year.

For example: Sunday, January 1, 1350.

The meaning is as follows:

The day of the week will tell us if he is successful in gaining the powers he's trying to.

Monday means he has the Monocular, but not the insight to tell us how many town and how many scum there are.

Tuesday means he has both.

Wednesday means he knows how many scum and how many town roles are in the game, but that he does not have the Monocular.

Thursday means that he has neither.

If he has the Monocular then the month tells us how many PTs Ranger (or whoever he spied on) is a part of. January for just the Hunter's Part, February for two total, March for three, and so forth. If he does not have the Monocular then this one is meaningless.

The date tells us how many town roles are currently in the game. E.g. the 14th would mean there are 14 town.

The year tells us how many scum roles are currently in the game. It will be the amount beyond 1350. E.g. 1354 would mean 4 scum roles.

Both of those are random if he does not have the ability to know that information (which he probably won't.)

Trust that information when he sends it out. It's also confirmation that this message was sent to you from Mixed6 who is telling him what the code is. Assuming Mixed6 is alive you'll talk with them about it in the Hunter's Party. Give him one sided directions through the hunting party PT if he can see them. Tell him to use his bowblade to pin scum if they're voting on a wagon that we won't be lynching in order to deny them insight. He's proven open to listening to instructions.

Beyond that, Sensei is probably scum. Nahdia is probably scum. The Hunting Party needs to be the ones to buy weapons as possible and you should control their votes if Mixed6 is down.

If Shinobi follows our instructions he should be forming a PT with someone in the hunting party. We shouldn't fully trust him, but we know he's not a beast and we know that he used a bolt (probably obtained by spending insight) to defeat the first boss in the Chalice Dungeon. We're trying to make him use his insight in ways that help the town that don't require us to fully trust him."

The above is all communication from Mixed6, we're taking a gamble by trusting you but we hope it pays off. I kind of pushed for them to accept your possible support in whatever we plan, so don't make that all be in vain :(
If you hadn't already picked up us and Mixed6 are masons. That's all I really have to say right now.

NIGHT 2 ANONYMOUS MESSAGES:

Heuristic Arrow to Reasonably Irrational:
Spoiler:
1. Things I wonder about earlier may get answered later. I'm reading beginning to end, left-to right, top-to-bottom.

2. These notes are more for my own benefit than yours, but if you wonder why I feel a certain way, this may help in that.

3. Arrow replaced Yume. Liger replaced Fire.

4. by Shinobi - Refuses to participate in RVS for the time being -
This is odd. Definitely something to note. (Maybe town who idk what? I could see this also as scum wanting to avoid accountability, but then, that's a double-edged sword of WIFOM as abstaining from voting is even more auspicious......) -
Null (0)

5. by Varsoon - Dragon doesn't have a vote named after them; the vote itself appears as Spider -
Interesting......

6. by Zuffy - Self-vote -
Why do you feel the need to self-vote? Is this some sort of WIFOM trick you're trying to pull. Even in RVS, self-voting should be frowned upon. -
Null-Scum (-1)

7. by Rational - Thinks Almost is over paranoid & won't RVS cuz don't like RVS -
For one who probably isn't familiar with these mechanics such as myself, I think it's somewhat reasonable to be paranoid. It is a lot of reading. On the other hand, I feel your reason for not voting is even worse -- RVS is what's called a "necessary evil"; even if you dislike it, you should partake cuz it gets the game going and thereby benefits town. -
Null-Scum (-1)

8. by Ranger - Said she normally would claim already -
This doesn't seem to be something you often do (claim ASAP). Are you suggesting your role has a negative-utility aspect to it? I will reserve further judgement for now. -
Null (0)

9. by Shinobi - Says Nahdia's Almost vote is weak and generic -
I won't deny that case, but it's barely been a page & it's still primarily an RVS vote. Why are you being so nitpickey at the start??? -
Scummy (-2)

10. by Rational -
This is the type of thinking that town should be engaging in. Sure, scum could easily said such, but scum could also just sit back and enjoy the show. -
Towny (+2)

11. by Rylai - Claims role is weirdly negative -
Is it really? Ok, maybe the gladiate option is, but meh here.

12. and by Ranger - Includes Nahdia twice -
This is a bit strange, esp. 93 after looking at , yet apparently Ranger didn't notice the comment and/or didn't care. That, or Ranger got ninja'd and didn't double-check, but still...... -
Null (0)
.... Still not fixed in either.....

13. by Xk - Another negative utility claim -
.... Imo, my role is weak; wonder why there are so many negative utilities. Oh well.... -
Null (0)

14. by Rational - Mentions Patches wasn't in signups -
That raises the question though -- Are Dragon and Patches the same people, or are they different? I'm inclined to believe the former since Dragon casted a spider vote and didn't appear on the VC as eligible to vote. (Later, I read about it being something scum more likely have hence the change in my read of Dragon) -
Null-Town (+1)

15. by Almost - Claims "Not Cop" -
This post is weird though. 1) What made you claim not to be the cop? 2) How do you even know a Cop is in this game? Or did you imply it from the negative utilities? Something feels off about this post..... -
Scummy (-2)

16. by Xk - Almost had genuine thought process even if overly paranoid -
My thoughts exactly regarding that post -
Null-Town (+1)

17. by Mixed - Covers a bunch of stuff -
I like the entire post except the last part. While I feel Zuffy hasn't really done anything, I also feel he hasn't done anything; in other words, what Zuffy has done cannot be evaluated cuz he hasn't done anything yet. Same applies to quite a few other players, so I wouldn't necessarily call it a good vote; in fact, I would call it a safe vote cuz no one cam really question the vote since... there's nothing really to question. -
Town (+3)

18. by Almost - Explains Huntmaster vote -
Seems to be a fair explanation. I can definitely agree with that Reasonable townread you got. -
Null-Town (+1)

19. by Hastur - -
Looks like a decent intro post. -

20. by Toog - Starts asking (somewhat randomly important) questions about what people like to play in Bloodborne -
....???? I have no idea what the importance of this post is. -

21. by Dragon - Claims that Patches is someone else -
Interesting curveball.... The Q remains though: Do we trust them? I guess I ought to..... -
Null (0)

22. by Shadow - Asks about Zuffy self-vote -
Surprised no one has brought it up until now. Just sayin' -
Null (0)

23. by Nahdia and by Mixed -
Apparently, I guess I'm the only one who found 220 to be very sarcastic in nature, as Mixed seemed to take it as genuine in 222. Not sure what to think here, but this looks like Scum vs. Scum or Town vs. Scum tbh. The sarcasm imo should've generated a different response from Mixed, so I get the feeling this fight was in some ways "planned" and not genuine.... -
Very Scummy (-4)
for both of them....

24. by Toog - Says some things about his RQS -
1) By the time you posted those, RVS had basically ended, so while the RVS vote in a person's first post is acceptable even after RVS, asking pointless RQS questions after-the-fact doesn't have that same feel. 2) Ok, maybe so, but if it's a post-restriction, why can't you flat out mention that? 3) Measure what? How they like to play Bloodborne? What's that tell you about their alignment? 4) I'm sure you could've found something to talk about. Why do you continue to ignore other discussions? I find this post like the previous more filler and fluff than useful. -
Very Scummy (-4)

25. by Ranger - Readlist -
I really don't understand some of your reads here. Why do you townread Dragon so much? Same for Klingon (who is basicalky not-existent) yet Klingon is the same tier as Xk. I would like some comments at least on why your reads were the way they were at that point. -

26. by Toog - Analyzes the Patches slot -
This is a good analysis. Never thought about the NPC possibility. -

Probably the first useful post I've seen from the slot. I like how the slot has thought through a lot of stuff. -

29. by Zuffy - Complete refusal to share reads for the time being -
What even is the point of not sharing your reads? How does that help scum or hurt town? Stop it! -
Very Scummy (-4)

30. by Zuffy - Says Almost50 can't be lynched (or at least implies it) -
Why not? What makes you feel so strongly that Almost50 is town or makes you think Almost50 can't be lynched? The wording jumps out as scum to me. -

Oh mh, no wonder this slot got lynched. Like, serioiusly! Since when has poor grammar and mechanics become a scumtell? -
Super Scummy (-5)

34. by Bogre - Votes Shadow -
Is it just me, or does it look like Bogre is seriously distancing from Shadow. Shadow's D2 impression has been fairly good, but D1 has so far been awful. Yet, I can't help but think this is Bogre bussing.... -

This post just feels strained in a way. As in, trying too hard. Probably NAI, but the emphasis just caught my attn. -

36. by Fire Assassin - Considers Dragon's proof of moving vote as a "threat" (!) -
Someone definitely isn't paying attn. I know the slot got replaced, but I really want to know why that particular post looked like a threat. Oh welll..... -

37. by Rational - Some kind of convo with random -
I have no idea what's going on here. What's this discussion all about that going on between you and midget here? -

38. by Fire - Contradiction: Very opinionated issue, yet you are wrong -
How can you say in this particular post that your way is better or more correct than the other way? Sure, it's an opinionated subject, but that doesn't make one's view wrong per se. Tbh, this just feels like a fluff post to mr. -
Scummy (-2)

39. by Mixed - (Another) post asking for the huntmaster voter -
Are you freaking kidding me! Seriously,
if the playerlist wants you as huntmaster, they will vote.
Stop begging for it & trying to look town in the process. -
Scummy (-2)

40. by Mixed - Encourages Rational to fullclaim -
What the heck is wrong with ya? Seriously, only mafia have motive at that time to be trying to coerce claims out of players. The setup was designed specifically AGAINST massclaiming, so don't be going for claims. My scumread remains here. -
Scum (-3)

41. by Mixed -
I find this a rather blatant misrep of the situation. 1) Nothing wrong with softclaiming; the setup doesn't really penalize that 2) You were the one who is like "claim in full now!" 3) He didn't even ask you to specify them; not really rolefishing imo. -
Scummy (-2)

42. by Patches - Huntmaster vote for Rational -
This is important. That means Patches isn't Mixed or randommidget. Nor is Patches probably anyone voting for Mixed or randommidget for Huntmaster. -

I would just like to note that the side comment about Nahdia's interactions woth Shinobi and Mixed is the basic reason where my scumread originated from. -

45. by Kling - Hunting Party Chainsaw -
Why do you feel the need to defend the people in hunting party by chainsawing your attacker? If you were town, wouldn't you at least express some doubt that they are all town? I find this chainsaw far more likely to have come from scum who handpicked their party rather than town. Especially when you give no reasons to back up your indirect claim that your hunting party is at least 60% town (including yourself). -
Very Scummy (-4)

46. by Shinobi - "I hope I just got dayvig'd" -
Seriously! Why did you so desparately want to be dayvigged at that stage of the games. Feels more WIFOM in nature; Imo, town would try to give some kind of read if they think they just got dayvigged. -

Seriously! Why do you want Patches to be huntmaster??? This just has scum written all over it. DIE SCUM! -
Scum (-3)

52. by Kling - Calls Rylai's "I've learned how to solve my problems" post scummy -
Kling, why is that scummy? I find it null cuz it's a personal, more meta thing rather than something that directly relates to the game. I quite don't see how you can find it to be scummy. -
Scummy (-2)

53. by Mixed - About the Peregine voting Patches for huntmaster -
Stating that something is "Too scummy to be scum" is basically the same logical fallancy as "Too townie to be town". In this particular instance, Peregine has quite some explaining to do, because town has absolutely no motive to do it. It's not a careless thing; the vote was deliberate, and the only way it could even make slight sense is if Peregine hasn't read like the first 5 pages of the thread by then. Otherwise, it's ridiculously silly and obviously a move made to create WIFOM. I am very inclined to think it's likely a move scum would make. -

54. by Rylai - "well in my exp with scum ABR , he loves bussing will lurk a bit and use that as a tactic. this level of involvement is not the same with his two scum games I saw (in one I was his partner). This is just a replica of his play in Saga... where he was town." -
For the record, it is 100% possible that Mixed decides to bus their partners. This quote proves it. -
Null (0)

55. by Peregine - "Based on that, why does anyone want to "lynch" an extra vote? If we want to hang it, why not let it be in charge?" -
I'm not understanding the argument here. What does wanting a lynch on a slot you scumread got to do with nominating a slot (you townread) as Huntmaster? Pls elaborate. -

57. by Fire - Asks Rylai why they want to be a high prio target -
I agree with Rylai's later comment in that Fire is kinda role fishing Rylai. Really, it's like he's trying to determine if it would be worth trying to kill Rylai or not. -
Scummy (-2)

58. by Fire - Denies FA's questions -
Now, you're just being stubborn for the heck of it. You know exactly what Rylai meant, yet you have to get all technical so it makes Rylai look bad and you better. Liger (Fire), Mixed, and Peregine should all be lynched in fire.

We were town, and our Day 2 action was sending Shadow_Step a blood vial (during the gladiate) that protects the player from dying on the phase it was used.

If you would be so kind as to share this info w/ everyone else, we'd appeeciate it.

(AND WHY THE HELL DID YOU GUYS DECIDE TO QUICKHAMMER US???? MIXED IS SCUM, I'M TELLING YOU!)

House to Reasonably Irrational:
Spoiler:
I am a beasthood carrying Miller. However, I will investigate as the alignment and role of the lynched player if I am on the wagon and they are town (until I gain 3 beasthood). I also gain an ability with every mislynch that I am on the wagon for, which is unrelated to the role of the slain player.

I can also gain beasthood from the hunts, but I get it if there is already an established team there.

Once I gain three beasthood (I now have 1), I will have access to my beast form. In beast form, I am a non-consecutive vigilante that requires 2/3 majority to lynch.

Additional abilities, non-consecutive vigilante, beloved-ish Townie... I hope you can understand my hesitance to tell you why I want to be on lynch wagons, and see the power my role offers once i gain my beast form.

Everything I've claimed is easily confirmable as conditions are met, and my vig shots will be at your disposal, or at the disposal of a mutual townread that you designate should you be NK'ed.

Needless to say, this is House. To confirm my identity, my first post toMorrow will be a safe post.

Reasonably Irrational to Mixed6:
This is Reasonably Irrational. "Fugue" to confirm tomorrow.
I don't believe I have much new information to share that I haven't already, but I will clarify things I said yesterday for clarity's sake.

Spoiler: Role claim and information on the Vilebloods
We are Annalise, Queen of the Vilebloods.

We can not die, and when we would die, we do not flip any information at all, and we do not reward any echoes, though we do still count as having been slain for all other purposes. We have not and will not claim this aspect of our role to anyone other than the two of you(by which I mean your mason pairing with Dwlee). We have confirmed with Varsoon that we retain access to all resources, weapons, and items gained prior to when we were slain after we have been slain, and there is no limit to the number of times we will revive, and no negative effect upon our slot when we would be killed.

We are the starting member and master of the Cairnhurst Vilebloods. Every night, we can invite someone to join the Vilebloods. We invited Randomidget on N1, he accepted, and we are going to invite Dwlee tonight. I was going to trust Dwlee to just share all this information with you, but I'm instead going to send you this to ensure you receive this information even in the event of the death of one of the parties involved.

Members of the vilebloods join our PT, which we may only speak in at night, and receive the following benefits:

Corruption Rune: The first time you would be hammered, you will require an additional vote to be hammered. This is a super version of loved. If someone votes enough times to exceed the threshold by 1 or more, it still doesn't lynch us. An additional vote needs to be cast by someone.

When a member slays a town player, they gain Blood Dregs. We do not know how many blood dregs are gained, because no member of the vilebloods has yet to participate in slaying of a town member, but I assume you gain one per town member slain.

Blood dreg may be spent as follows:

1: Gain 1 insight.
2: Other members may not target you with non-factionals.
3: Armor: No other players ability may cause you to require less votes to lynch. Yes, this is confirmation that there exists at least one ability in the game which may lower someones lynch threshold, and no one has mentioned such an ability affecting them yet.
4: Chikage(a weapon): Vote is doubled if the person you vote for isn't voting. Transform: Permanently lowers your own lynch threshold by 1, to a minimum of 0, instantly killing you. Your voting power is equal to 1/2 the required votes to lynch any given player, to a minimum of 3. That is, you will never cast less than 3 votes using this weapon.

The Armor and Chikage may also be purchased privately using echoes(which is why I was/am upset about my Vilebloods not being included in this latest lynch, today we could have had at least one member who had possession of the Chikage). The Armor is 10k, and the Chikage is 12k.

Spoiler: Our PT's with Shinobi, H&M, Patches the Spider and D&D
We are currently in resonant neighborhoods with Shinobi and Hastur & Muriel.

Shinobi's role as claimed gives him access to a few unique items. One gives him immunity to beasthood, and night action manipulation. Another doubles his votes on someone if they don't take actions at night or if their actions fail. Another couts as 1/3rd of the votes required to lynch someone. He has not told me the cost of these items and has not said whether they may be used multiple times or not. He's assuming it's reusable, but it does not specify(which would indicate it's reusable). So, we should assume if he isn't buying anything within the public pool, that he has access to 1/3rd of the votes required to lynch someone, and possibly more if those two items interacts somehow(if, say, one is a weapon, and the other a prefix allowing item of some sort). He claims everything about his flavor essentially exists to reaffirm how good at fighting his character is.

Hastur & Muriel can give out those blood vials, the ones which also restore a shot of a limited use item/ability, which I assume we both currently possess. They also claimed their flavor/role mentions the vilebloods in some way, which made them believe we were a third party faction of some sort, and that at least one member of the scum team would gain insight from killing members of the vilebloods. I've asked them for more details about how their role mentions us, but I have not yet received a response

We are in a nightmare PT called "The Nightmare Frontier" with Patches the Spider and Daenaerys and Dragons. Patches master is the host apparently, and they intend to invite yourself and Nahdia tonight. Patches may perform a roleblock on someone each night, which informs the target of who roleblocked them, as well as giving them 1 insight and 2k echoes. I wanted him to perform it on randomidget to get him closer to the Chikage, but he declined and did not tell me who he would be using it on. He asked about whether I would object to having it used on myself. Patches also can not receive any rewards from anyone being slain. All echoes/insight etc that would be rewarded to his slot is lost if he is included in a lynch. He also apparently dies if his master does, but claims his 3p win condition is that of a serial killer, that is, to be the last player left alive. I don't know if that's purely flavor and mechanically impossible, or if there is some possible set of circumstances that could result in the death of his master while leaving him alive. This should all be things you'll see yourself, but, again, I've included it for the sake of being thorough.

Randomidget and the other vilebloods we invite will have access to the first days codes, but only you have access to todays. My previous post listing the code in our PT was made before I considered the monocles, and their existence implies scum may have their own way to spy on PT's without usage of that item.

Anyways. I think that's everything.

Liger_Zero to Mixed6:
Spoiler:
This is Liger telling you that lynch orchestrated by you was terribad. Your insistence on not lynching ranger because "party" was terrible. You switching your reads all day? Terrible. I hope someone has decency to night kill you, because if you are alive. I am pushing a lynch on you

PeregrineV to Mixed6:
Spoiler:
The gift of life, vial of red
Hemoglobin goes straight to your head
Endure anything for a day and a night
No one may know, you will lose no fight
Understand this knowledge, and use it well
No doubt you will live to tell the tale.

Daenerys and Dragons to Mixed6:
Spoiler:
First off we thought we should claim to you. We're the reason the flips are delaying, and we are also a miller. We didn't want to claim this in the open due to all the warnings Varsoon gave about claiming. So very negative utility town.
We also have the ability to redact parts of player's roles if we wish. We are redacting a part of heuristic_arrow's role that allowed them to give Blood Vials to players which granted 1-shot Bulletproof. This should help trip up scum as they won't be expecting that.
Now, we were invited to a Nightmare PT last night by Patches' master. We started the game with enough Insight (we cannot spend this Insight, so we couldn't have opened a day PT with you) to have the self-watch action, and the only one to visit us was Nahdia. Thus, we know she is the host of the Nightmare PT and is Patches's master.
I (SC) believe Nahdia's actions through Patches are very very indicative of town. She hatched a plot to give someone enough Insight to find out how many scum are in the game (Rylai and Lina), but failed due to their role. She has been very open to her possible actions and wincon as Patches in the PT, and has been working with RI and us to try to maximize the potential of the PT. I don't think she would do these things as scum. Lilith agrees with all of this.
Code word we'll say tomorrow is bakery

-Daenerys and Dragons

Toogeloo to Randomidget:
Spoiler:
Current Members of the League... Toogeloo and Nahdia, with a pending invite to Liger. Toogeloo and Nahdia should have 1 Vermin each, assuming Nahdia hasn't killed anyone.

Almost50 to Nahdia:
Spoiler:
We need you to open an emergency PT with us at once. It will cost you 1 insight to do so. It is of utmost importance that we discuss something in private with you in regards to purchasing certain items.

-Daenerys

Ranger to Daenerys and Dragons:
Spoiler:
Yo.

So I figured I'd continue my trend of sending a message to major townreads of mine, which just so happen to be a hydra. I'm in the hunt party with Reasonably Irrational and Mixed6, so I can just tell them stuff, so that left you. Anyway, unlike with RyLina, I don't have much to say as of the time I'm writing this message. I promised Mixed6 a case on both Liger_Zero and Shinobi, but I haven't actually written it yet and I don't really have much to share otherwise.

So basically, my night message for tonight is mostly gonna be a waste, unfortunately, as much as talking to you would be valuable. I suppose I'll keep it from being a complete waste by giving the same partial claim I did to RyLina. Basically, as hinted in-thread, I don't expect to die any time soon. Remember when I said that this game had many similarities to Killer Instinct?

...I wasn't just referring to Shinobi's play.
Unfortunately, even by this method of communication, I probably shouldn't fullclaim the exact mechanics in play.

Sorry I'm not giving you a better message during the night. I'm basically doing it because I can. Given I'm in a hunting party, and the incredible improbability of my death, I pretty much can always give my thoughts in-thread, so there's not really much risk of me suddenly being dead and having nothing but the nightly message to communicate my thoughts.

Mixed6 to PeregrineV:
Spoiler:
Good day PeregrineV.

This is possibly someone you trust sending you a message. I have a theory that you might have sent me something yesterday. If you did then you should know who this is and I'd like to coordinate on sending things in the future. If you didn't then this message is a waste of both of our time.

If you did send something beneficial yesterday during the day I'd like you to confirm it with the day of the week that you sent it as part of an early post during the day (ideally the first post.) Beyond that I'd love to have some information about your capabilities for sending things in the future. Sending the following four digit code would be great.

The first digit would be 1 for you can send something identical, 2 for you can send something similar, but with a different first property, 3 would be similar, but with a different second property, 4 would be different in both properties, 5 would be no more ability to send items in the future.

The second digit would be the number that you can send per time period, no particular code, except that if it exceeds 9, just tell me 9.

The third digit would be what time periods you can send them in. 1 would be just during the day phase, 2 would be just during the night phase, 3 would be both phases, but the limit from the last digit applies to a day-night cycle, 4 would be both phases each with their own limits.

The fourth digit is nonsense and can be anything you want.

For example, Thursday 2316 would mean that you sent something to on a Thursday, that you can send something similar, but with a different first property, that you can send 3 each phase, and that you can only send them during the day.

If you are willing to work with me after sending that code, we'll ask you to be ready to send things out as a request from us. We'd just use

The nth Falcon has landed!

That would be a request for you to send something again to the nth living player on the player list (so 1st would be Mixed 6 as of right now.)

Patches the Spider to Zulfy:
Spoiler:
Greetings, Zulfy. It is I, Patches the Spider. I will confirm my identity by posting the :!: emoticon as my first message in the coming day.

My Master would like to coordinate with you. We understand you have a Nightmare PT. As we do as well, we wanted to coordinate with you so that we avoid excessive overlap in who we invite to our respective Nightmares. This is because each player can only be a member of one nightmare PT.

Please code in your first message tomorrow the members of your Nightmare by saying the following words to correspond to their respective players.

Mixed6 - Papaya
Hastur and Muriel - Blueberry
Reasonably Irrational - Mango
Klingoncelt - Strawberry
Daenerys and Dragons - Orange
Nahdia - Apple
House - Apricot
Shadow_Step - Grapefruit
Randomidget - Watermelon
PeregrineV - Starfruit
Dwlee99 - Raspberry
Toogeloo - Blackberry
Ranger - Kiwi
Shinobi - Banana
Liger_Zero - Cherry
Almost50 - Plum
Rylai & Lina - Pear
Bogre - Peach
Heuristic_Arrow - Avocado
Sensei - Tangerine

Once you have done this, I will code back to you the members of my master's nightmare.

Nahdia to Toogeloo:
Spoiler:
Yo, it's Nahdia. Didn't want to say this in the League PT in case Cerb is peeking (don't exactly trust him).

Liger is a neighborizer that selects a person to form a PT with each night which lasts for the next Night & Day phase, then closes. That means he's gonna be a permanent Loved due to the interaction with your role unless he's roleblocked. Liger recruited me N1 and I think he intends to do so again tonight.

To confirm it's me, I'll post the code "8675309" tomorrow.

Almost50 to Reasonably Irrational:
Spoiler:
Let's just use the 1st page in the game thread with all the spoilers expanded for reference to our code. For example: 1:24:1 1:2:1 1:113:4 1:10:1 6:7:5 where the 1st number is the post # (including #0), the second is the line number within that pots and the 3rd is the word.

P.S. "What weapons should I take(s)" is the translation of the above code. Please confirm by asking for my preferred lynch in thread. Also, I might 9or might not) have vigged D&D.

P.S.2: IF you have sent me a PM yourself, we may forget about my coding and use yours.

House to Reasonably Irrational:
Spoiler:
2/3 of the way to beasthood form.

I cancelled my purchase yesterDay due to lack of points. I forgot I bought a Molotov cocktail, and didn't want to start a whole discussion about why the purchase failed in the thread so I 'cancelled' it.

New ability acquired from zulfy's lynch - Hunter's Rune. Doubles the use of limited effect weapons

Once I ascend, I should be ran up the very next day while it will take the most votes to lynch me in order to both test my claim and analyze the wagon for opportunism.

Once i obtain my vig shot, I think I should take my first shot at Toog ( unless there's a blatant scum confession in twilight or something) to shut him up about being slay proof, but not mention it in the thread to avoid giving scum another target if he IS town. Thoughts?

PS: Sorry about Zulfy, but his play was shade as fuck.

Ranger to Reasonably Irrational:
Spoiler:
So I'm probably wasting my message for the night (again) by sending it to you, but I don't have any better ideas.

This is Ranger, obviously. I figured I'd do something during the night, but as of the time I started writing this message (and am sending the first draft), I don't actually know what.

I'm hoping Varsoon accepts changed submissions in messages (and if so, that I remember to put something extra in, which...isn't always a guarantee), because otherwise, it'll be a bit awkward for my message to quite literally be "I'm sending a message!", but...I just don't have any idea what I can say in here, that I haven't already said in-thread.

Unlike most players, I happen to know that I will be around tomorrow (which is why I don't bother giving something only I can say, since I can always confirm it the next day), at least most likely (it would take some freak ability for me to die, so if I ever do die...shenanigans are afoot, keep that in mind), so...I genuinely don't have much clue what to do.

I've mostly been using these messages as launching points for some of the things I need to do during the day (for instance, one thing I'm heavily considering adding into this message is a paraphrase of RyLina's message which I REALLY should be getting posted since they were relying on me to communicate it), but otherwise, they haven't been put to much good use, since I can't really think of why I, personally, would need them.

I do have a request, I suppose.

My read on Zulfy was null, so I can see him flipping either town or scum.
If he flips town...can you ask ALL players to not wagon anyone? Because that would make two days in a row that we did not make use of the time available to us, and it cost us.

Frankly, in a normal game, all these double-triple-quadruple voters would be insanely pro-town, but right now, I actually think--outside of hunting parties--they're a liability, because we're NOT getting people on lynches we want, and we know that Heuristic_Arrow was town and this Zulfy lynch has that same vibe to it. It's a bit difficult to describe the vibe, but...I think you felt it too, so I shouldn't really need to. (I mean, Zulfy should flip by daystart anyway, rendering this whole could-be argument moot, but by that time, I won't exactly be able to edit my message anymore.)

Anyway. My point is...I just think that all the potential gamebreaking we could be doing has been absolutely wasted by careless behavior, and that we need to slow down, take our time, and strategize, something you should be good at.

You hold all of the cards, I presume at least, so you know the roles in addition to the play. I think you should have the time to actually do that, but that we haven't had that time yet.

Ahg. I don't feel like I'm being articulate enough, here.

Hopefully, I can edit this message later, and maybe make it more clear, and more useful, and contain more stuff.
Quickly, though: still don't like the Liger/Shinobi tag-teaming. They both misrepresented my point, when the intention should have been obvious; I was saying neither of them were talking in the Sensei nightmare even before I showed up. They should have been using that topic to bounce back and forth if they were town, but they had basically nothing in there prior to my arrival. (Which, of course, has caused any chance of extra content to go down the drain.)

Rylai and Lina to House:
Spoiler:
This is R&L I know you were happy that we got vigged but I think you are the only one that can win this for town. They are derping hard, in any case press Ranger to release our huge post because it is kind of a bummer that she didnt even try to paraphrase what we said (And honestly a little bit scummy) Also Stop trusting RI jesus the guy is scum.

Toogeloo to Randomidget:
Spoiler:
Current members of the League include: Toogeloo, Nahdia, and now Liger. Toogeloo and Nahdia should have 2 Vermin each, Liger none. Liger has a Neighborizing Power that gives his Neighbor 50% more Blood Echoes. He can choose to keep the same target each night, or change to a new target, but he can only ever have one person in his PT with him. He Neighbored Nahdia on Night 1, and as far as I know, Nahdia again on Night 2. This Neighborizing Power was told to me by both Nahdia and Liger, I can not confirm it's validity.
~Toogeloo

Heuristic Arrow to House:
Spoiler:
DIE, SCUM!

Reasonably Irrational to Almost50:
Spoiler:
Hey Almost50 this message is mainly to ask a couple questions. This is Reasonably Irrational btw. Code word "Pulchritudinous". :D

1) Does that weapon of yours have any other effects?
2) Do you have any more shots of whatever you used to kill R&L?
3) Are there other limitations on targeting for it?
4) Does it have any actual voting effects for the other effects of it's transformed state?

If you're going to respond to this, just go x:y:z, with the z being optional.

x = sentence
y = word
z = letter

the 1) 2) and so on will count as a word when I'm counting this.

Let me know anything you think should be directed to me in code.

Also, sorry for not bringing you along, I just wasn't aware of any vote power you could provide, and wanted to hop into the higher level dungeon and ensure we could win.

NIGHT 4 ANONYMOUS MESSAGES:

Almost50 to Reasonably Irrational:
Spoiler:
If I was killed for the monocular thing, so it must be either Dwlee or Nahdia. However, I could have been killed for the Bowblade (which I opted NOT to pass to my killer anyway). Oh, and yes.. I did kill D&D. Sorry!

The remaining scum -according to my own reads- are in PEREGRINE, MIDGET & Dwlee/Nahdia. LYNCH PV, I say.

P.S. I still have access to Bogre's PT and Shadow's not posting in there. Nobody else is there either.

P.S.2 Where did Toog get 10k echoes to buy the Kirk Hammer??

House to Ranger:
Spoiler:
You are town as hell, so I am appealing to you to help me redeem myself.

I was hoping Liger would flip scum to exonerate me of these threats of a policy lynch against me, but he's town.

I am not scum. Yes, what I did was rash and I'm sorry for it, but I don't deserve to swing for it on policy. It's a waste of a lynch and will only hurt town.

I need a scum flip to get town off this witch hunt against me. If you will throw whatever you have against Shinobi, I will hammer him.

I know you didn't like the short day from my last quick-hammer, but I truly thought I'd be hitting scum.

If you know of an alternative to this lynch that will keep me from swinging moments into the day, I'm certainly open to that instead. I'm just desperate here and don't know how else to dig myself out of this hole.

I won't reference this pm in the game thread, but to let you know this message is genuine, I actually DO hold your abilities in high regard, whatever you may think to the contrary. This is why I'm reaching out specifically to you.

NIGHT 5 ANONYMOUS MESSAGES:

Mixed6 to PeregrineV:
Spoiler:
Hi there PeregrineV,

At this point you're almost certainly town, so here are some words of coordination from beyond the grave from Mixed6.

I'm working with Dwlee (who was a mason with me, though that was redacted), Reasonably Irrational, and D&D to try to coordinate the remaining town players well enough to stop the scum (who have some pretty scary tools left in their toolbox.) The biggest immediate problem is Nahdia. She controls Patches and enough votes to single-handedly wipe out town one at a time. If you get on tomorrow at the start of game (if it's at all possible, please do,) throw as many votes on her as you can. Even just one is enough. We need at least two town players casting votes on her and there are enough town that can cast more than one (and few enough players,) that the speed is more important than the quantity. Having said that, if you can muster more than one then do it!

It's probably too late for that last paragraph to matter as you're not getting this till the start of day 6.

If the game doesn't end at the start of day 6 and there's a day 7 the next target should be House. Based on various conversations in PTs that have been feeding information to the Nightmare where confirmed town are stuck we have strong reason to believe that he's scum. He's also among the most dangerous players in terms of voting abilities left in the game. There's less need to go quickly with him as he'd need a partner to join him (and the remaining possible scum partners are slower on the trigger,) but be unless there's a reason to do otherwise be ready to vote him right away.

During day 4 I was sending messages to the main game via Patches because I knew Nahdia controlled him and I wanted to try to make it look like there was a connection between us (ideally so scum would waste a kill on Patches.) Clearly that subterfuge was in vain as Patches ended up being the one doing the killing.

For some confirmation that this is me, in my last message I set up a code in which the fourth digit was nonsense.

Thanks for the blood vial when you sent it! I hope we can still pull this one off.

-Zorblag R`Lyeh/Mixed6

Dwlee99 to Ranger:
Spoiler:
Yo, this dilweed (Dwlee). Mixed6 wanted me to send you some info (nightmare pt op???). Nahdia is 100% confirmed scum, as soon as possible you need to vote nahdia going into day. Also mixed6 wants house lynched the day after (although I kinda disagree with them here but I also trust them IDK)
Patches is being controlled by nahdia, and I wasnt paying attention but there was some ruse where they were pretending to be channelled by patches) but turns out patches was controlled by scum soooo
Finally if the game isnt over by tomorrow ir whenever more info will come.
Finally mixed6 want me to confirm it is me or something well if I am alive I will post something like "it was me" tomorrow. Other than that not sure how to confirm to you Im myself? We dont have any dank maymays I can reference oh wait BEEFBOY.
I think that is kinda well known but oh well. ACTUALLY, okay, almost is totes fanning you with the whole "lemme follow the reads progression of ranger" crap he did YES I AM STILL SALTY #NEVERFORGET

Toogeloo to House:
Spoiler:

Reasonably Irrational to Toogeloo:
Spoiler:
This is Reasonably Irrational. Mixed6 and I have determined a group of still living and likely town individuals who we're reaching out to to attempt to salvage this game for town.

Nahdia is scum and must be lynched as soon as the day starts. I'm surr you already realize this, but this is just for insurance really. Remember, she's loved. Go at her with everything you have, as quickly as you can do it.

Stop reading. Go do that

Okay. So patches is controlled by Nahdia (which should be obvious,) and we were pretending to channel Mixed6 through Patches based on communication in a nightmare, but that was just a ruse before we knew that Patches was controlled by scum.

Tomorrow, assuming you succeed in lynching Nahdia and If town hasn't lost by then, House should be next in line to be lynched, in the same swift fashion. This is an incredibly narrow victory path and it'll likely fail, but we have to try. The only saving grace here is that there are likely only three scum left alive now, given that scum controlled patches, which should mean these two lynches, if successful and on scum, will leave them unable to quicklynch anyone else, allowing proper discussion to catch the last scum. If the game is still going on tomorrow, we'll pass on more information then+analysis if anything comes up.

Spoiler:
Shinobi was supposed to tell you to send me a vial at day start today. If he did not do so, he is scum. This is Reasonably Irrational. If it's at all possible for you to post before the thread is locked, please confirm or deny that he asked you to send a vial. Please continue to send these vials, queued up to go out as soon as the day starts to me.

Some thoughts:

Many of you have voiced your frustration with this game. I apologize for how poorly it turned out. In a way, I crafted the madness of the Hunt too well--Nights were long and torturous and when it came time for a lynch to happen, it was swift and harrowing. Power went unchecked until it was too much of a problem, and all of the players were forced to play under very strenuous conditions. In the end, it came out to a worthless slugfest despite all the intrigue and machinations of madmen.

So, in some ways, this setup was a success. I even drove myself up a wall.

In many other ways, this setup absolutely failed.

Items like Pebble, Blood Cocktail, Numbing Mist, Shaman Bone Blade, and so on were integral to how I expected players to play and, yet, no one took advantage of them. Entire roles had no functionality due to players not understanding their role, never taking an action, or simply not playing the game. Scum was allowed full reign to build up their own power to the point that town could not counter it right out.

Nightmare Events were one of the most exciting mechanics I developed for this game. I was very excited to put together a system of mass-invited PTs in which the host of the PT could cause flavor events to happen that would render fun and interesting mechanical results. I think, what? There was one nightmare event played this entire game? I remember thinking about it and being really upset that I designed a mechanic that I would really enjoy, but nobody else cared about.

I won't be using shops in my future games. I like the idea of role progression just as much as I like the idea of publicly known powers (this is the appeal of smalltown games, too). The problem is that players are affected too much by it. That was sort of the goal here, and, I suppose, it did have the effects I desired, but it was far too stressful for many players. The problem with having a system of public powers is twofold, really:
1. Rhetorically Strong players will police who gets what. I absolutely hated that Mixed6 was trying to dictate who could buy which items. Being told that you'll be scumread if you get an item you want inhibits the fun of the game in a lot of ways, I feel. No longer can people enjoy the mechanic, because it's not an option for them to fully embrace it.
2. Mechanically Weak players will not realize how to use the mechanic at all. Once again, I think numbing mist was used successfully once this game? Furthermore, only a single blood vial was used to prevent a kill, and it did not work given the kill was a strongman shot.

I sincerely apologize for how horrible and stressful this game became. I felt it more than anyone. Since day one, I was upset with how things had turned out due to players either not playing at all or playing in ways contrary to the design of the game. I figured that I couldn't let myself get too hung up on players not playing the way I wanted, though. What really got to me was the amount of people decrying the setup entirely, while others still didn't care to play at all. I felt as though I had failed everyone who signed up for this game--the mechanics did not get utilized, no one seemed to care, and the most feedback I got was very negative. I designed a game I would be incredibly excited to be a part of, put more time into it than any other game I (or maybe anyone else) has made, and it was an absolute failure on many fronts. Couple this with moving to a new town, being unable to find a job, going through a breakup, and several other personal issues and I dreaded coming back to this site just to unlock the game thread, post some flavor, and watch the game I put so much time, love, and effort into continue to spiral down the drain.

There was a moment where I genuinely wanted to end the game early.

There was a moment where I considered never moderating another game again, given how momentous a failure this game was for myself and for many involved.

That said, I respect you all far too much. I was not going to cut the game short on account of my own misgivings or stress. Despite the large amount of moderator errors and mistakes made, I kept telling myself that I would not abandon the game because these players deserved it played out to the end. This was a learning experience. My next theme game will be much more mechanically terse, but I hope to deliver an exciting setup that gets players engaged with both the game and the flavor. You're some of my favorite people online and I love this site. I'm not going to give up on you just because things turn out poorly.

Feel free to offer criticism, your thoughts, reactions, etc. If you want to insult me for any reason, I will not keep you from doing so. I know many people are crossing this finish line frustrated, bruised, and angry. I do ask that you keep insults of other players to a minimum, though.

Thank you for playing, everyone.
I hope that you enjoyed this game. Tell me what worked for you and I'll try to incorporate it into my next game if I can.
For those of you that did not, let me know why. I'd love to make a better game next time.

Until then,
Just go out and kill a few beasts. It's for your own good.
