Even though some parts of your game were frustrating (mainly the votespam race), this game was super freaking badass. The shop was awesome! The Nightmares were awesome! The anonymous messages at night were awesome! The dungeon raids were awesome! Don't beat yourself up so much, man. We love your games even when they sometimes malfunction badly.

I think the absolute #1 problem with this game was the sheer amount of votes given out. That's the one thing that I would definitely never utilize again. Like many noted, it turned the game from mafia into something else, which is where it really fell apart.

I loved your role, Cakez. I think miller roles should go full-ham with their negative utility.
That said, I wanted your role to be absolutely capable of lots of utility and functionality given the right flips/information you became privy to.

I was surprised that no one voted for the Spiders of yours. In previous games of mine where someone controlled a remote vote, it was typically voted for as a test or as a joke. I suppose Patches was just a much more interesting candidate for that?

I'm glad that you enjoyed the mechanics. It was a nightmare (Dohoho) to resolve night phases because, at worst, I would have to...
1. Post multiple flavor results in night threads due to Hunts and Nightmare Events.
2. Lock and unlock several threads.
3. Resolve tons of actions due to role madness.
4. Resolve upwards of 22 sent messages each night due to anonymous even-dead messages.
I'd end up with a row of over 40 tabs sometimes, because I gave myself so much work to do this game @_@

Yeah, I was hoping people would utilize Numbing Mist to shut down any player who got too many votes, but it happened such that those players were also trusted to gain enough insight to get the Blood Rock/Transcendence, which should have only upgraded votes and night actions now that I reconsider it.

I think the setup is interesting enough to warrant working with a second time provided the votes can stay in check. Town was probably going to lose anyway.

The interactions with the flips were really cool tho and it's something I would have never thought of as a town role.

Setting up night in a game as complex as this sounds brutal. Even tho all the night stuff was great don't run another game like this if it's so much stress on you. Run something simpler! (iirc you said you will be running something simpler anyway lol) I'm sure it will still be great.

Reflections on my own play:

I guess a lot of the game centered around my slot especially near the end so soap boxing and talking about myself for a bit feels appropriate. I did a bunch of stuff good and a bunch of stuff bad here. You can see my basically having highs and lows of freakouts in the scum PT (which became mostly my personal confessional; thank you Klingon and Ranger for putting up with me).
My first huge misplay was how I acted on the Bogre wagon. I was really frustrated to see one of my partners get policy lynched but my unvote dance was god awful and I legitimately expected to get vigged at night if not power lynched the next day.

The next dumb mistake I made was purchasing the Whirlgig Saw. I didn't read it closely and didn't realize just how limited the item was. I could have put those blood echos to way better use on a more versatile weapon.

Oh, and the next mistake I made was literally scumslipping. No one noticed though! It my Nightmare PT I named "the Hunter's Dream" which is the name of KC's nightmare; I had

right knowing the name of that Nightmare. Somehow you guys didn't notice. I ended up covering my bases retroactively by having KC pretend she messaged Patches, but yeeeeaaah.

There were a couple minor errors here and there otherwise, but that was the bulk of it. I think the best thing I did was probably my claim to Mixed6, and in particular the aspects of my role I lied about. I made up an entire mechanic that doesn't exist which could hypothetically confirm every single member of the nightmare as town; why would scum possibly have that ability!? Well, they wouldn't, cause I didn't. I dunno if that held much weight with Mixed6 but I was particularly proud of that fib :p I almost believed it myself and asked Varsoon later if what my role really did do encompassed that. I'm disappointed I never actually got to use my Nightmare Events... it just never panned out favorably :c

The bigger problem was people not engaged into the game, either because of confusion, not caring, or not having the time. That's a different problem all together imo.

It will have items and roles which I love about Varsoon games but have a much different style. I need to get over this cold though first.

Uhm...well we lynched bogre. I called klingon. I wanted ranger lynched in our nightmare pt and then moved off that for no reason. Nahdia we figured out but far later than we should have
