@Dunnstral, here's a graph with all the win possibilities:

Image

In your scenario, let's say they kill Lane after we lynch you. We lynch me or Luna. Say we lynch Luna, they are forced to kill Umlaut N2. D3, lynch me. If any combination of GuiltyLion, Java, and Alpaca are both scum, they win. Hmm, maybe it's not autowin. But lynching the IC isn't very likely to get us into auto-win scenarios either.

But you are suggesting that you want me and Luna dead and haven't even glanced at Java and Alpaca so from your POV, this argument doesn't really flow from where your head's at suspicion-wise.

It seems like you are just coming up with arguments to dodge your lynch but not any methods of getting rid of your scumreads. In the scenario where one or both of me and Luna are scum, lynching you is a pretty clear way to eliminate us but none of your plans are suggesting the obvious. It can't be because you know you are town. You'd go so far as to lynch the IC who you also know is town, but not yourself.

Yeah wingback explained it better than me
Basically any non center kill, if they kill someone within the same row or column, lynch in the other (if they kill row lynch column and viceversa), if they lynch the opposite corner then the same trick but we choose.

That's an auto-loss of the Tic Tac Toe game. We'd only need to hit one scum in four lynches to win.

As long as scum have their first nk as a corner pretty sure they can force a draw no matter what which basically leads me to think that we really need to consider more of who to lynch than tic tac toe strats since in the end it will most likely come down to amount of town v scum left and not who wins the game

I am pretty sure Luna and Wing are town so are guilty and mcmenno

Yeah, that was pretty much it. I don't especially mind not being alive but I do know I'm town whereas I only think Lion and Lane are town.

I do think there's a difference between copping to a survivalistic vote made for lack of a better reason, and hiding it behind other reasons like Java did, which is why I'm so wary of his behavior.

VOTE: Luna Fox

This vote is as good as Dunn on general Tic-Tac-Toe merits while also being adjacent to Java. Admittedly forcing a Java kill would mean lynching Lake which is not so great, but since I'm townreading Lake and Wing about equally this isn't actually a reason to prefer Dunn.

Wait, you also asked why I voted Luna before. It was because her pinged me and she hadn't done anything that looked like gamesolving to me yet, making her somewhat scummier than the not-really-scummy-at-all Dunnstral.

I don't have an updated read on you now, I'm voting you because you're standing next to Java.

How am I hiding behind my vote? I technically never even voted, but intended to before he got to L-1. And if I did vote, how would it have been "survivalistic"? I am in no danger of being killed.... so your accusation makes no sense to me.

I find the exclusion of Lane conspicuous as he was a universal townread. Is there a reason you have reservations about him?

I'm really starting to think that i shouldn't have started playing a non-casual MMORPG while simultanously trying to play a Blitz mafia game and... about 4 other mafia games. I'm now debating whether i should just rep out or just get mislynched =/

I am back

Basically I am scumreading Luna because I think she is trying to appear helpful and townie while not actually pushing anything that changes the gamestate. I also felt was a scummy vote, the way she says "I'll trust your strategy" feels like a subtle way of deflecting blame.

Weirdly enough I am fine with a Dunnstral lynch even though I think he's more likely to be town than a few other players because I don't think the scumteam is java-Lane or java-Umlaut, both of which would be the only two teams (FMPOV) that have a clear path to win if we lynch Dunnstral (and java-umlaut would still have to work to secure an Alpaca mislynch). Lynching Luna today would basically guarantee Alpaca to survive until endgame so I don't want to go there.
