Like I know you're new, but I'll lay it out. If someone lies in a game of mafia, they die. It doesn't matter if they lie about the color of the apple they're eating or the temperature it is outside or what sort of shirt they prefer. If they lie they die.

And if you want to know why, it's because every single post scum have a filter of "how much of the truth do I tell here?" It's the defining thing. They have to decide when and how to lie. Are they making a scumread on a townie? They're lying. Are they saying someone who is lurking is playing that way because they're scum? If they're not, they know its a lie. When someone tells a lie in a game of mafia they have a filter in their head that's asking "should I tell the truth here?" And sometimes they decide "no" in absolutely stupid, asinine, ridiculous circumstances. Places where it shouldn't even matter at all. The lie itself might mean absolutely nothing.
