The vote on Kain was my idea, discussed while we were waiting for game start. It is a serious policy lynch vote. From what I have observed, Kain is an unreadable, disruptive, and counterproductive influence, and as such will be my default vote unless he A) Grows up and posts like an adult who is serious about the game B) Becomes obvTown or C) A superior scumread is available.

Cheers and Merry Christmas (or other seasonally-appropriate winter celebration)

If flipped scum had a deathtunnel going on for Kain, I'd back off. There's lots of other things that could trigger it, but that's the first example that sprang to the mind embedded in my tank.

Feel free to RVS. I decline to participate in favor of an honest PL.

Early Townlean on Tier, use of logic. Which suggests that 75% of the rest of you are scum. That's the beauty of this setup...score a single solid mutual (accurate) Townread and the game is solved.

You don't have to replace out.

You just have to shape up, act like a grownup, and play the game.

Unvote

See? There's the benefit of the doubt. Policy lynch reprieved. Sink back into old habits of posting in shouts, appealing massively to emotion, and being enormously conceited, and your reprieve ends.

God, I hate beating up on kids.

Okay, so Kain's age explains a lot. I'm still put off by his style, but maturity does make a difference.

1. karnos
2. KainTepes
3. Think Tank (hydra of Pine and ThinkBig)
4. TierShift
5. Aelin
6. TheRealGin-N-Tonic
7. Spade_Ace
8. Hiraki

Removing ourself (a strange word I just invented to represent the 2=1 aspect of hydra'ing) and the ICs, I get this list:

1. karnos
2. KainTepes
4. TierShift
7. Spade_Ace

I get a pretty distinctly Town vibe from Hiraki. It's been a long time since I played with him, but I'm going to trust my instincts for now on him.

1. karnos
2. KainTepes
7. Spade_Ace

75% of this is scum. Removing TierShift, he's remained Townish...

1. karnos
2. KainTepes
7. Spade_Ace

Bam. Game solution.

VOTE: Kain

This is a genuine scumread now. I disagree with Gin-N-Tonic's 74. That is not the impression I've gotten. Spade_Ace also looks scummy independent of PoE, but his play is sophisticated enough to warrant more analysis. Nothing from Karnos yet.

I've played a number of times with Hiraki, and this whole bitter/snarky thing he has going on reminds me of his Towngame. You don't have to trust that, I certainly don't. It's a weak and early read. Christ, it's only page 5. I'm not *certain* of anything yet. The Hiraki read is a general impression, which is about one step more reliable than saying my Magic 8-ball says so.

That's exactly correct, Hiraki. My brain was getting ahead of my typing, is all. I eliminated someone, then explained, rather than the reverse. I thought it was obvious enough not to need explanation, though.

See this? This is why Hiraki gets a Townread. Taking the time to critically evaluate stuff instead of trying to force-map it to existing reads is a classic hallmark of Town.

I think the most likely team is karnos/spade/kaine.

Karnos

-His entrance to the game was rather scummy. He started with an RVS vote on himself when we were 82 posts in, well past RVS.
-He attempts to portray Spade as scum by arguing that he would have been QH by scum if he were town. While I tend to agree with this logic, this paints him as scum as well. Jin voted for Karnos and didn't unvote more than 12 hours after his initial vote. The scum team would have had plenty of time to coordinate a quick hammer during this period.

Spade

-His derp hammer on TF screamed scum. After we finished speaking about why we shouldn't hammer on page 5, he comes in and quick hammers.
-If he was town, then scum would most likely have QH him by now (see above).

Kaine

-Overall he is impossible to read and difficult to make a decision on. I don't like how he immediately sheep's my vote on Spade.

Posting for the first time in like half a dozen pages over here. Addressing Gin only, as Hiraki has already gamesolved and I've had a TR on him right from the start. It started weak but got pretty strong as we went, despite Karnos' weaksauce attempt to misrepresent it.

Hey Gin. Look, you know my scumgame. This ain't it. I manipulate, I misrep, I play games. This is just simpler.

Hiraki and I are Town. Ergo the other two are scum. From my perspective, I don't need much more. Let me give it to you though.

Kain's scumgame, both here and elsewhere, has been to throw out obfuscation, confusion, and hyperactivity when things aren't under control. It lets him votehop and justify whatever the fuck he wants. When things are going smoother, he goes to ground and lays low. I'm phoneposting from vacation, or I'd link you to other games.

Karnos is also scum. He lurks to a mislynch D1, permits the inevitable Spade lynch, and only now does he give a shit. Now he's posting like his life depends on it...because it does. As for Spade-Hiraki-Think Tank, which is what he is pushing, we were all live at the same time. I was reading Spade-Hiraki posts live. We could have easily gone for Karnos when you had your vote on him. Again, I'd link you to timestamps if not phoneposting. If Karnos were Town, he'd have been quickhammered. A 3-man coordination with daytalk just isn't that hard to pull off.

VOTE: Karnos

Watch. He's not going to get quickhammered off of this, either. He's scum. So is Kain, so if you're more comfortable lynching him, I'm down.

Okay? Don't blow this.

Pine.
