Point 2: Town-points mean just that, meaning I found your behaviour to be town - if wrong.
Point 3: The Gorny vote was to rustle his jimmies a bit, I didn't like his defensiveness in 23, of course if I say I'm making the vote to get under his skin a bit it loses all meaning, in a way your under-mined me like I under-mined you in point 1.

What is everyones Mafia experience level? I've played one game on the site, and lots more in person.

I've played and modded a few games before (another site prior to 2009), it's noted on my wiki page. As to this site I'm still relatively new but past the first newbie game stage. The games I have played in here as well as those I am playing are listed, not listed is Umlat's Micro 737 which is in pre game.

Her 27 is NAI in my opinion.
Her 69 seems to think adlim is town. Hmmm...

The rest of her posts up to 83 don't add much game related.
Though in her 77 she seems to have taken a liking to me. Not
sure how to take this.

I'm inclined to think adlim's "role under our name" comment as town, it could be a nefarious scum post but it's pretty ballsy if that's the case.

Aster I still have the same opinion of, they strike me as the kind of eager town who uses point by point analysis and confirmation bias to confirm suspicions. Paranoid town behaviour is exactly how I would describe it, I'm a little concerned about how much GreyIce gushed about their play, makes me think it might be a buddying attempt but niceness isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I kinda like Mothergothel's OMGUS of GreyIce, I'd generally consider OMGUS to be more town behaviour coming from Newbs based on "The people attacking me must be scum since I know I'm town" kind of logic. Rather than a "Whelp there are people attacking me and I'm scum, they must be on to me." kind of response which I don't feel we got.

My Read is that, I retract My vote from Fancy Pants for he seems very relaxed about being mafia, unless that is his technique.
I am not sure about Gorny, as he seems to try and find a blame onto someone.
Its hard to tell whether Grey Ice is scum or town, because they have a prominent voice which seems pretty convincing.
So far on My list are Aster and Mother.
I feel in the recent posts, motherGospel had very scum like readings, feeling way too defensive when being accused by GreyIce.
I feel Aster because he is quick to put the blame on someone else and divert their attention, on a simple question I asked.
As this being my first game, I barely know tactics to tackling this game.

I prefer narrow focus in mafia, but I did ask everyone for their scum reads. Of the active player's I find Gorny to be one of the least town hence why I'd like more thoughts from him.

My exact reason was that he seemed to unvote Aster when he was pushed a little, and he hasn't done anything to convince me he isn't scum, his read list featured mostly null tells which I find pretty scummy as well.

What would you like from me FancyPants?

As to null reads...it's pretty early in day one and at the time, i had maybe 4 pages of posts with some not posting to go on.

as to the comment directed at Xa...I find it scummy. For the reasons that:

A) You could be mafia and asking your partner. (I think this is less likely because scum wouldn't openly do that in thread)
b) You're scum and trying to get some information to help you in your NK (again risky and scum wouldn't do that openly)
c) You're scum and signaling your partner via a coded phrase that Xa might be a good target.

a game where no heat is on them, so they can point fingers where
they wish. The point of the game is for mafia to avoid attention
whenever possible, not for them to react strongly to early
votes, thus their gameplay would really start long before anyone
placed a vote on them, setting the stage for their innocence.
This is why I dislike people who come in as teachers, you say
things like they are 100% fact and people could start to believe
you.

I dislike adilm29h's opener (37, 39) for fairly obvious reasons. I also dislike how Gorny felt the need to welcome adilm29h in the following post (40), he could have just answered the question and moved on—the welcoming just seems forced (especially when you consider he didn't welcome or say hi to anybody else).

He just seems to be all-over-the-place with this. He starts it by saying "seems kind of new town", yet doesn't really point out how she's town in any way. Most of the posts he's linking to are purely filler and they don't contain anything telling. And to top it all off, he ends it by saying:

And, at the bottom of his post where he states his S->W reads, he has MotherGothel as:

He does re-adjust his reads in post 186, but I think it's very telling that in the same post he had two conflicting reads on two different people.

Also, there's noting wrong with going back and forth a bit, especially early on in the RVS stage.

That early on there wasn't much to go on that could be used to come up with a definite scum or town read, that's why reads lists are not set in stone and are always changing.

You quoted my post 100multiple times, and only parts of it (the parts that suited you I think), did you actually read it?

The first bolded part is where I said she seemed kind of new town.

The second bolded part has to do with her being possibly scum based on her agreeing with my joke about the scum teams being based off the first letters of people's names, to which she wasn't paired up.


So it's plain as day how I went from "null slight town" to "null possible scum" in one post.

As to my read on your slot (going from null to possible scum) you are correct. I screwed up there. That post should have read null town for your slot. While I did get a slight scum feeling from FrozenMagpie prior to being force replaced (for seemingly not posting at all), I should have had that slot at a null/town read at that time.

I do agree that Gorny seems quite scummy. Although his opinion changing within a single post is suspicious, it is not something mafia would have a motivation to do, and there are several reasons why that could still happen when he's town (his opinion changed during writing, and he forgot to update an old part; he had a memory lapse when compiling the final list; a mixup between something.)

However, more suspicious is that Gorny does not acknowledge his screw-up and is trying to waggle himself out of the situation by making stuff up, which is just about half of what I'm accusing adilm of.

I'd like to keep my vote on adilm, but it has become pretty clear to me that the adilm bandwagon won't be going anywhere today because some think it is so unfair to use newbies' mistakes against them that they'd rather let scum live. I may as well change my vote to the almost-as-scummy candidate that actually has potential to get lynched.

Alright, since I'm here to learn to better my game, what can I change? Day1 I had several people finding me scummy. Was it just my aggression against GreyICE? It was a bit over done, I let myself get too caught up in the moment.

As far as Adilm, I think you did great at making us doubt ourselves when. You slipped up. Being the hammer is tricky, even for town, which is why as Draynth said it's best to take that slow and give ample room for a claim before it happens.

Gorny had me sold on him being town. I was pretty freaking sure about it, so I would say he played a great game aside from not being able to keep a consistent read.

GreyICE I think played great aside from getting into confrontations with some of us.

Fancy pants became a pretty clear town asset in day2, keeping things rolling and asking good questions.

Cd, you're my MVP lol, idk that any of us noticed the inconsistency in Gornys reads before you did and without that I think he played a clean game. I attribute this clean win to you.
