I like to partake from time to time in the things that get to define the tumultuous, hellish inferno of an ordeal we call life. It's fun.

So I asked the mod a couple questions about my wincon:

So by my understanding all of the 22 survivors in this game are aligned with each-other, meaning we can all consider ourselves to be on the same faction. If the survivors stay in the majority by the end of the game and that cannot change, all the living survivors win the game. I deduce that we also lose if we are no longer the majority.

I think that it is inherently WRONG to end Day 1 early because of this, because we really should just "scumhunt" the two cult leaders TODAY, WHILE THEY HAVE NO TEAMMATES, so that we can single them out for any roles that are in the game to hopefully neutralise them.

Unless they recruit them before immunity gets majority vote.

I too would expect that the immunity vote would resolve first, since cults could then just exclusively recruit our targets without us knowing, nullifying our main tool of keeping people immune for the entire game.

I also expect that a big tactic later in the game will be for newly-recruited recruits to try and get the immunity votes on themselves to waste it for that dayphase and we need to keep an eye out for that.

Not much of that made sense for me. Still avoiding the fact that such a resolution of actions makes our immunity vote worthless since just ONE cult leader recruiting our target makes it worthless, ergo hindering our only tool during the day, and making our wincondition very hard to achieve.

Are you implying that cult leaders have to commit to a choice and cannot switch their targets at some point before the day ends? I don't know that that's how their role works. How would you?

I'm glad that we have all come to the conclusion that immunity voting is easy for the cult leaders to destroy and neuter. Cerberus elaborately working himself up on how we could use immunity voting, and then in the same posts explaining how said use of immunity voting might be irrelevant, is top-notch discussion.

I'm trying to say that there is some sort of flaw in what you are doing and I don't like it.
You could be misusing your vig claim.
Or you could be trying to protect a really powerful PR role with a fake vig claim.
Or you're trying to blend in by using assumptions about the gamestate.
Of course, you also be double bluffing and really be a immune vig trying to draw cult into thinking that you're trying to protect a powerful PR role.

And I honestly don't think that it's likely that all the killing roles are auto immunized, because that would mean that the cult would have to be able to kill every night should they want to try and take out the opposing cult. That just seems broken to me.

Will go out on a limb and say Vecna isn't a CL. Those graphs and pictures look like too much work for him to be one. Also not sure how many conclusions his posts came to particularly since it's built upon assumptions that we we cannot predict, especially since the mod won't tell us if someone that we made immune is actually immune and not already a cultist. I think most of his posts on the page above boil down to: "Hey guys, lets immune people without them getting recruited!", which seems like a nobrainer thing that we want to do. Yet to see a proposed strategy to make it all work.

Yep. Just checked my old GTKAS, and on my top 10 players, I have Varsoon.

Reasoning was “he’s everything I ask for in a player <3”.

So that means we played a good amount and got along well.

I remember coming back to the site after a big hiatus and saw all the crazy cool games you created and thought it was cool.

Basically means that Vecna's plan will at some point fail since immunizations at literally any point in the game can stop being relevant. For all we know we only have 1 immunization, there's no way to know at the moment.

Honestly, the more I think about it, how important or necessary is it really to try go through all of the hoops of trying to trick the CL's into not recruiting our immunisation targets? The people that we vote to make immune might not even be in a CL's best interest to recruit in the first place. In a hypothetical scenario if we were trying to immunise a player that is 98% good, what would stop a CL from just recruiting a player that is 99% good because that's more productive? It seems like a lot of effort, there's really no way of knowing what the CL's will do, or the results of our immunisations, (if someone is recruited despite us voting them immune they're not going to tell us the former), and smart CL's might not even be fooled by any wagon shenanigans that we conjure up. It most importantly doesn't even deny them a recruitment, they can just recruit someone else.

Benefits:

1. We can immunize people who we can deduce likely aren't immune and therefore worth running up for immunity
2. If we claim immunity maybe it will confuse the CL's or put enough doubt into their decision making

We don't necesarilly have to massclaim powerroles, I'd probably be against that, if there are any, but mass-claiming immunity or non-immunity. I can explain more tomorrow but I think speedwagoning is too chaotic and unreliable and impossible to measure the success of to be a strategy worth entertaining.

Claiming immune when you aren't so that they don't recruit you, or claiming non-immune when you are so that they waste their recruit on you, is the sort of shenanigans that I am thinking of. Of course if everyone claims falsely everything might revert to randomness in the decisionmaking of the CL's, but this game needs BADLY to be broken upon right now.
