RQS Time
Seriously, RVS went straight into setup spec mode. I guess I'm partially to blame. Let's get the scumhunting ball rolling with some questions.
1) Are you town or not town?
2) Why did you sign up for this game?
3) What's your favorite alignment and why?
4) What's your favorite color?
5) Who would you lynch right now if you could autolynch someone and why?
6) What is another question that you would like to ask everyone else in this game?-

1) I'm town of course. The actual probability I would rand town based on my page pick is 72%.In post 53, Ircher wrote:RQS Time

4) What's your favorite color?
5) Who would you lynch right now if you could autolynch someone and why?
6) What is another question that you would like to ask everyone else in this game?
2) I joined because Grand Idea Mafia is a really interesting setup filled with its twists and turns. I also think TemporalLich is a respectable moderator. Also, originally, I wasn't going to join because I have been trying to cut down on how much time I am spending on this site, and I was already in another game. I ended up joining though because the other game was almost over (in fact, it's over now), and I saw that this game needed a final player.
3) Town is my favorite alignment simply because it feels more natural. As scum, you have to try to hide the fact that you know more than everyone else, and that can be really hard to do well. Personally, I'm not great at scum. 3rd party can be interesting, but it's also difficult to win as certain third party roles.
4) My favorite color isgreen, and no, I'm not trying to subconsciously influence you to associate my slot with green and town by saying this.
5) I'd go with Chemist1422 because they obviously have some sort of post restriction. I feel it might be related to a scum role. Nothing else really catches my eye.
6) I've asked enough questions, so I'll refrain.
---
7) As town, I'm open and transparent. I'm not a very aggressive player often opting for more nuanced reads. As scum, I'm a lot more conscious of what I am posting. While I can generally still make decent content, I have a harder time doing so. Associations tend to give me away.farside22 wrote:7) how would you describe your playstyle as town/ as scum?
8) I don't think I want to answer that.Pigman wrote:8) if your significant other accused you of cheating on them when you didn't how would you respond?
9) I'm afraid that I don't play Pokemon. Since I am not very familiar with the franchise, I cannot answer the question.Chemist1422 wrote:9) What's your favorite Pokemon?
I think it is too early to form one at this point in time. Maybe in the future.Hoctac wrote:10) Would you like to form a townbloc?-

Seems a bit weird to me. I guess there are some players who like faking post restrictions for entertainment factor, but honestly, yours doesn't seem to fall inti that category (no offense).
Also, Chateau Lobby has caught my eye for having the third most posts in-thread and yet having stated nothing of substance yet. I guess the game did just begin, but it doesn't seem like they are even trying to steer the thread towards content and finding scum.
@Hoctac --> I do indeed remember the last time I did RQS. Maybe you should try comparing my answers that game to my answers this game. Try to see if RQS is actually effective at discerning alignment or not.-

Very brief and to the point. This response isn't very useful in formulating reads. In post 55, farside22 wrote: 1) town
2) I liked the last grand idea and the roles are a bit more interesting.
3) scum - just hard to ignore a scum buddy that is looking obviously scummy
4) purple
5) Battle Mage - See Jigsaw game Very rough to watch (would say more but I'll leave it be)
6) how would you describe your playstyle as town/ as scum?
Another brief one, but the read on Chateau is useful. In post 57, Pigman wrote:1 town

3 I don't know yet

5 probably that chateau guy cuz he didn't seem als interested as others in finding info or cracking the game
6 if your significant other accused you of cheating on them when you didn't how would you respond?
This one is extremely brief, almost too much so, but it really depends on the player I guess. In post 58, Chemist1422 wrote:[Town.]

6) Would you like to form a townbloc?
Seems a bit on the arrogant side but that sounds more like a personality quirk. I think the answer to #5 is bad, but probably bad in a townie way.In post 61, dsjstr wrote:1) Why don't you lynch me and find out

What boring answers! Meh, I can't think of any useful comments about this set of answers. In post 81, boring wrote:1) town

3) town because I like the puzzle of the game
4) green
5) Hoctac. It's hard to sort someone playing heavy WIFOM.
6) Did you get the role you were hoping for?
Why does everyone insist on short answers? Why couldn't you put the elaboration in that post rather than your next post? The vote/tunnel reasoning on me does not come across as town-indicative, but I wouldn't write it pff as scummy either necessarily. In post 92, hellbooks wrote:1) town
2) it looked like the most interesting game currently for signups
3) town because I enjoy scumhunting
4) purple
5) ircher. I will elaborate on this in the next post
6) do you want to start a wagon on ircher with me?
Complete non-response... Hmmm... If you felt answering would not be useful, you could've just ignored it rather than give non-answers. Thus, why did you answer the way you did? I could see this coming from town or scum, but I'm honestly leaning towards scum right now.In post 97, Two Girls One Vote wrote:1. yes

Eh, for VCA it really depends. I think it can be useful at times, but it's best to try it when we have a lot more info (at least two days worth of VCs, preferably a flipped scum). It's also probably not as useful in this game given its multiball.-

There's no need for a full-fledged case to get a wagon going this early in the day. I think their narrow focus on Hoctac's goon claim is grounds for a wagon regardless of whether it is indicative of town!Quick, scum!Quick, or not indicative at all. They should take a more liberal outlook on the game. There's plenty of more useful things for them to focus on.In post 247, ManateeDude wrote:Whats the case for scum!Quick then Ircher-

When Quick stated he wasn't aware of being lynch proof I thought maybe the role I picked might be the reason and I verified it with the mod.
So in a sense Quick being lynched day 1 would have ended the game right there and he would have won on day 1 if he is indeed 3P.
This leads me to believe Quick is a 3p that should be shot with this knowledge. I'm also scum reading titus whom seems to pushing this idea of Quick as scum and trying to say that lynchproof is impossible.

I didn't say I was townreading boring. I just mean that most "slips" aren't really slips, and one should be careful about aggressively pursuing slips. 93/100 so-called "slips" that I have seen weren't actually slips. In post 449, farside22 wrote:

Battle Mage has only this post, and this post (aside from the Quick vote) doesn't say anything useful. I can't understand how you can townread a player based only on this post.In post 216, Battle Mage wrote:Making my return to the mafia game
Another defeat would be such a shame
I know nothing yet to greatly assist
But perhaps that's because I'm already pissed
Maybe some sleep will help me repair
and I'll have something insightful to share
Bonjour Annie, tu est magnifique
although our future already looks bleak
Lynching me today would be bad recourse
And the town would experience due remorse
Some words of wisdom before I go
Town should take things nice and slow
VOTE: Quick
Gotta go fast!

pedit: Hmmm.... Let's see.... My role pm for starters.... I could probably go into self-meta reasons as well if you like.-

Okay for starters, I have 57 posts so far this game and the most posts of anyone. That indicates I'm fairly engaged with the game. Compare with this game where I was scum. Aside from that, I'm also still pretty transparent this game; I haven't said everything yet because some things require time for parsing, but for the most part, I'm giving it to you as I go. I'm not holding things back.
Let me just sum it up this way: the more engaged I am in a game, the more likely I am town. The less I hold back, again, the more likely I am town. If I am scum, I will also make it quite evident at some point based on my voting patterns.-

Weren't you scumreading me in the Jigsaw game where I was town? (Granted, we only played together for a short period of time.) I think that's an indication that you don't know my play very well; therefore, you are unable to effectively judge my play.-
