I didn't realize Pooky is a good town player, they're pushing my mislim pretty hard and I believe they're town here.

I played D1 with scum!pooky in a large theme recently and I think they're noticeably less image-conscious in this game.

Well they’re of course sometimes wrong but they were ingenious in catching scum!FL and the reason we won tm. My reads aren’t actually contradictory. I still think you’re town but I would probably have to metadive you to have a more confident read on you, unless you’re one of those players whose town and scumgames look the same.

I’ve skimmed most of the game, so don’t really have any srs so far but Pooky does seem townie here. He isn’t making memes about animal cops, so that’s reassuring.

I so far like you, Pooky, Luke, Frog, Dunn, I guess. Idk if scum!Galron would take such a strong stand as scum. I am pretty bad at making decent srs in a large extremely early unless I can either r tell by meta or of a slot is really obvscum. My reads usually get better as game progresses.

Nevermind about Dunn. Slight town read. I feel like he's making real effort in the game. I think his vote on BBT was probably sincere as his reasoning resonates with the rest of his ISO.

I think his 483 feels way out of character though. I responded to this post earlier and wouldn't have thought it came from the guy with this ISO. It's very light hearted and his ISO reads as anything but light hearted.

I did especially like 248 where he picks 2 fights that he could just stay out of as scum.

I bet Dunn rubs people the wrong way with his straight forward bluntness. Does anyone know if this is his standard approach?

I don't recall saying that Corwin was lying. I never think a person is lying about their circumstances nor do I doubt them. They can just be scum while also dealing with life stuff.

My PT partner brought up the fact that they don't trust me, that I could be scum, and that I basically asked for a free pass through Day 1.

For those not in the know, I was involved in a head on collision last Friday night. My kids were in the car with me. I was ambulances to the ER, but thankfully my kids walked away with minor injuries.

I am doing some daily physical therapy and we are working with lawyers and insurance right now, and in my down time I am trying to relax and rest.

I don't anticipate this being problematic beyond this week, but if people feel I'm getting a pass, or need to replace out, I will.

multiple times against, same alignment, and as a hydra. Difficult to verbalize but I don't see an agenda, a lot of their posts look like doubtcasting at face-value but they read to me as a genuine thought process and critic.

My PT partner brought up the fact that they don't trust me, that I could be scum, and that I basically asked for a free pass through Day 1.

For those not in the know, I was involved in a head on collision last Friday night. My kids were in the car with me. I was ambulances to the ER, but thankfully my kids walked away with minor injuries.

I am doing some daily physical therapy and we are working with lawyers and insurance right now, and in my down time I am trying to relax and rest.

I don't anticipate this being problematic beyond this week, but if people feel I'm getting a pass, or need to replace out, I will.

I feel like Dancing Puppets could potentially be scum on the basis of a lot of their recent posts. Feel like there's a lot of stuff about them not necessarily having particularly distinct reads/being willing to sheep despite the fact that they have been quite active anyway. For how much they've posted it feels like there's a real lack of content there.

Granted, I think both heads of the hydra are normally very headstrong about their reads. It's a bit weird to see them both want to take a back seat.

I think you've done nothing before this point to indicate to me that you're town, and I previously scumread you based on process of elimination and activity level. I feel like it's also the type of post that can quite feasibly come from good/experienced scum? A lot of the time you assume scum maybe don't want to draw any attention to what the makeup of their team could be, but in a big game like this making associatives can be hard and I can see scum being more willingly to openly comment on what the scumteam may be like, even if only to misdirect.

Not true, while obviously not foolproof, they are often far more useful than that.

VCAs for example rarely have two competing scumwagons though it does happen, so in like approximately 78% of cases, if you flip scum. the cw is statistically highly likely to be town.

Trust me, I get the impulse when someone does something bad directed at you. It's something I fight all the time, not always successfully. I don't think you can objectively look at it since it's directed at you.

Yeah it’s tough but sometimes I can tell despite the read on me. I expect certain people to be able to read me better than others. OtH is probably one of my strongest trs now because they are not only correctly reading me but for all the right reasons and Marci sounds exactly like she did in OMB.

It’s not his asking for the readslists themselves that I tr, it’s what he did with them: the graphs. He’s keeping an ongoing record of the gamestate - something that is generally counterintuitive for scum to do.

To play devil's advocate for a sec, would good scum not potentially be capable of manipulating past meta to appear helpful and townie? I'm largely NAI on the lists thing. It's obviously very helpful for town but in a game of this size could also serve as a useful way for scum to coordinate who is pushing where/which townies have lots of null reads and could be seen as indecisive/who is on the right track and who is completely wrong.

Feel like there's a lot of stuff about them not necessarily having particularly distinct reads/being willing to sheep despite the fact that they have been quite active anyway. For how much they've posted it feels like there's a real lack of content there.

I don't have a read on you at all yet, and I didn't mention anything about activity.

I think I can read (at least) Nancy fairly consistently...in a game half the size of this one. But with this many players I think both heads are just getting drowned out. You two just aren't positioned in the game like you normally would be, and it's harder to get a read on where your heads are at in relation to everyone else when you aren't feasibly going to have the interactions and associations I tend to rely on to figure you out. And I don't think it's because of your decision to hang back a bit this game, the overall game activity is just so overwhelming that it's hard for more than a core few people to maintain a presence.

Tangentially related, finding out that Johnny apparently has 96 posts kinda stunned me. That's honestly way more than I would expect from him for a single Day phase, but he's still registered as "low activity" in my mind because his entire presence is basically him chewing on the end of a piece of straw and being funny every once in a while. His ISO is actually fine when skimming but he's easily getting overshadowed by the dozen bigger personalities at the forefront of the game.

While it’s true we haven’t played a large together before, I also know that you aren’t like STD who is inconsistent at reading me. What made me so obviously town to you in Schadd’s game and every single other game you’ve played with me that you aren’t seeing here?

I think that the way they are treating me comes from town them. Calling out Toogeloo early in pt is towny. Their reads are believable. When they are scum they are more stilted.

My PT partner brought up the fact that they don't trust me, that I could be scum, and that I basically asked for a free pass through Day 1.

For those not in the know, I was involved in a head on collision last Friday night. My kids were in the car with me. I was ambulances to the ER, but thankfully my kids walked away with minor injuries.

Penguin is an interesting one for me because as I was reading it felt like everyone and their dog were town reading them and I couldn't understand why. I didn't understand the vote on Bella (133) or the vote on Ceph [170. He says early votes are not serious, OK then, sure we'll go with that.

But then he says that he likes Frog's push back on OTH (283. This seems like it gives him a better reason to vote than his naked vote on Ceph. But he doesn't and as far as I'm caught up to, he still hasn't moved his vote. This probably wouldn't be a problem if the Ceph wagon wasn't the biggest and most prevalent wagon in the game at the time. It just feels like he stays on it much longer than he needs to (for a non-serious early game vote)

Looking back and their reads list feels quite weak - the town section is quite generic with the exception of maybe Gaston. They have three SRs, one of whom is Toad, who their case against seems pretty weak, with C&G being another, again a SR that doesn't say much given their posting restriction.

While I'm reluctant to go too heavily on associatives early on I think Roden/Galron is a possible team - Roden's defence of Galron when they came under pressure didn't do much for me and felt like the type of early defence a scum teammate could easily make for their buddy.

That'd potentially make sense. It taps into another idea that's making me factor that's making me doubt Roden here - on the whole I feel like they have a lot of null/non-committal reads, yet their (in my opinion) fairly weak SR on Toad seems a lot more committed by comparison.

@Gamma what do you think? I think it’s slightly odd that Roden isn’t even tl us at all but it’s the post before that one that concerns me more.

I think you're town because of how you're reacting. I think you would just be more tactical as scum here, brush off the scum read on you and probably employ some AtE.

NM is probably town just because of his early aggression. I know that it isn't necessarily a town tell for him, but his tunnel on you feels genuine. I think he's just wrong though.

Alternatively, it's possible that you two are SvS and it's just theatre, but I don't really see the point of it. Game state feels a bit too apathetic for that to be necessary imo.

And in another game with town!Roden, he was actively trying to sort me from the getgo. so it’s his lack of doing that which worries me.

Malcolm - I see a consistent scum read on Roden in his ISO - 1191, 1785, 2229, 2265 (votes Roden), and I actually like his posts on the previous page where he was talking to Johnny

I'm not really feeling Ceph's scumcase (2301) there. I think Malcolm's Roden progression is fairly transparent. He further disliked Roden's lack of proactive curiosity towards Toad - the "evasiveness"

The "looking at Roden's ISO" could easily come from town who opened up Roden's ISO to check there wasn't something that they missed. This dislike of Roden's readlist is also tracks,

because Malcolm also has disliked Toad (who was the one with only Galron in scum reads)

and has criticized Galron for having a mostly null reads list as well.

I'm not sure I specifically noticed this at the time re Toad but yeah, my general issue there was that there wasn't a lot going on in terms of SRs.

My opinion of Toad has since improved though - their play seems a bit more natural to me and they have a self-awareness at posting a lack of major content so far that's struck me as townie insofar they've drawn attention to it more often than I think scum would want to. I also think their response to pressure from Roden was fair and demonstrated a willingness to be interrogated and to respond, which Roden of course rejected.

I don't necessarily have an issue with a lack of SRs on D1, I get it's not easy in a game of this size and a willingness to admit you're lost can be townie vs scum who are desperate to appear busy. But with Roden it felt odd that they had one scum in their list who has the post count restriction, and another who they've consistently suspected but were unwilling to really push when given an opportunity to do so since their read didn't have that much elaboration. Almost as if they were looking for an easyish slot to sit on D1.

eh i guess dwlee could be seen the same way, but i think johnnys been more present than they have so its just something that sticks out more for him.

I've been feeling Dwlee town because as outlined above their vote on Pooky felt quite left-field and townie - like it was genuinely some original thought. Their ISO in general though does feel very focused in on Pooky individually (from TR to SR) and would definitely like to see more from the slot.

i dont quite trust dwlee yet, but they arent the worst LOL

recently there was a game where me and dwlee were scumpartners and imo their scumgame is pretty similar to their towngame so I think that might be scary to try and read later on ^.^

About Galron, it seems to be mostly a metaread and a TvT interaction with Rad. If you could quote some posts where they've done something that is outside their scumrange, that'd be helpful.
