So I brought it up with DNA and asked.

How do you read T-Bone? I keep being up and down on that slot.

The biggest thing for me was that he said he had been leaning scum on you all game but did absolutely nothing to try and further/push that read.

I don't have a read on T-Bone, I can't say I have paid him a great deal of attention. I find a lot of the things he posts to be NAI.

I do remember him town reading Ceph as his wagon was building which I kind of liked. He also voted OTH at one point which I kind of liked, too.

Is the first paragraph in reference to me? I'm pretty sure I've only voiced that Puppet remains in my null/would vote list because I don't have a reason yet to remove them. For me personally, I'm waiting to see if that slot has any real substance. So far, I feel like they haven't. I haven't quite decided whether their insistence that everyone take meta super seriously is a crutch, or because they really have nothing of substance because they are scum. It seems most players in the game believe it's the first thing, not the second. I just don't know at this stage.

As I read through tonight, and saw it happening, it felt like there were two people actively trying to keep the Math wagon alive after I abandoned ship. Pooky and Klick.

When I look back at how the two of them treated the slot, Pooky has had Corwin as a scum read for a while. He was scum on his reads list post, and scum in both spread sheets.

Comparatively, Klick did not mention a scum reading Corwin a single time until after I started my attempt to lead the thread. "Corwin" appears in Klick's iso in exactly 5 posts. Here is the progression, interspaced with when I first started trying to get people to move to corwin, and when I unvoted.

Why was he so obviously town?

I think Corwin got a bad rap because he started the game away from it and had to come in on the back foot with people scum reading him when he literally wasn't in the game yet. He didn't let himself get sucked into it too much. He asked questions about people's reads, he gave his own observations pretty freely without having to be pestered. When I pressed him about his read on BBT, I felt he gave the type of honest answer that scum don't often give (basically a nice nuanced idk). And yeah, I tend to town read people who have similar reads to mine. I never played with Corwin before, so it's not like he would know that and do something about it. Nor am I a big enough presence to warrant such treatment. I also thought he was pretty open to continually revaluate his reads. So like, yeah I initially town read him for a joke, but he came into it in a way that satisfied me. He also didn't make any posts I found scummy, so I don't even know of any examples in this game that would counter the positives of what I have seen.

As for Mathblade, most of his posts are NAI. It's clear he is crumbling to the pressure, but I don't think it's because he's scum, i think it's because he's frustrated. We can't scumread everyone for getting upset when they are scum read.

I think Math's posts, specifically the ones you are citing, is NAI because I think it's just his reaction to the pressure. He's not handling it well right now and wouldn't be making those posts were he.

Also there's like a little bit of validity in the idea of momentum in this game. It's not wrong to say that theere is no momentum to lim Pooky. That's objectively true at the moment. I don't think it's because of Pooky's popularity, I think it's because he's been null posting to kinda helpful with the reads spreadsheet (even though he hasn't posted an update to it in DAYS).

Both feel loose and free flowing. Mala just exudes town demeanor.

The Klick townread is more substantial. My only real issue with Klick was the voting but I asked myself what I found scummy about it and couldn’t pin it down. Their votes are very openly displaying what they think at that particular moment readswise and have actually been used to develop those reads (Example, the step back from cephrir and again on my slot.)

What I think is happening in regards to Klick is twofold. People are conflating thread presence with perceived town behavior and playing as if the two go hand in hand. As well as, slots are just giving Klick the old jab, jab, step back…..but they keep stepping back and Klick gets scummier in retrospect as a result.

What do I mean by that? Well I don’t recall an instance outside of ceph where Klick engaged with a slot and they came out with a Klick scumread from it. It’s all been after the fact.

If I’m wrong call me out but that’s how I’m seeing it.

I think once Roden claimed Mason, it was much more useful for the other Mason to just out than for people to waste time discussing the possibility of the other Mason being scum.

Especially with the other Mason being Dwlee, I think it was a good idea to claim so that we don't constantly have Dwlee in the elimination pool. They're higher priority NKs now as well, which is good for two explicitly-not-townread slots.

Spoiler: How Bone Trounces Lost Mafia: A Blueprint

So knowing what I know about the game now, these are easy choices. Anyway first off, we limmed someone 100 pages ago, letting the game get to page 250 is nonsense and this is my fanfiction. Either Ceph, Dunn, or Frogster, I'd have let one of them go by now. Since this is by the Professor's request, we'll say it was Frogster and he was my scum buddy. Well of course, there's no way I'd pass up on eliminating a scum buddy on day 1. I would have become a strong, but not the strongest voice on that train. I'd probably sit somewhere behind Luke as the second most townread player too. Anyway the night 1 kill is easy, DNA gets done dirty. Why you may ask? Because they with their post restriction, are an unknown. I would also kill anyone who got replaced over night, because again, I have my perfect endgame constructed already from the current players and don't want that changed. Matt already came in and ruined what probably would have been my preferred plan of letting one of my top townreads get eliminated. But that's okay, this is a heroic tale, and part of the hero's journey is struggle.

For my end game I'd have DP/Math there for sure as an easy pocket and potential mislim at the end (only need one of them to fill the niche). I would take some of my town reads too, I'd probably have to give up one of like Johnny, Ceph, Dunn to mislims at some point. Chances are I'd lose another scum buddy because of night action usage, ideally around Day 4 or 5, but I could adapt if we got there earlier. After DNA I'd probably kill off players who have me as like their 3rd or 4th scumread, if any exist at this point. I imagine by like Day 3 or 4 that could be come an issue. I'd be lucky if after Frog's scum flip someone still scum read me, because then they'd be an easy lim. So in this case that's the Professor gone Day 3 at the latest. I'd have one but not both masons killed, leave the other alive towards the end game. I only need 2 viable mislims in the end game. Maybe I'd keep around a secondary scum read like Bell or CSF or someone in that range. I also need to give my remaining scum buddies and the remaining townies one more viable mislim. Anyone who professes to use VCA or Meta is an absolute MUST for the end game imo, because by this point they will be questioning their meta reads on the players they left alive (why isn't Pooky dead, am I looking at the wrong scum game?) or some poor townie is going to look bad to a VCAer come Day 6/7. So there's a little leeway as to whom this person is. (Though if Pooky actually kept up on the reads grid I'd have to let him go via NK). But I'd definitely bring those types of players and their counterparts. Also gotta bring at least one, if not two, low post volume players. I imagine one of those low volume posters would be a scum buddy anyway, so a 1v1 between the two of them would also be a viable end game move. I also might NK people still fighting for the pagetops out of spite.

So there's my basic blueprint, in case you want to start framing me, scum team.

If I said I would bring you to the end game it doesn't mean I think you're a bad player, please don't be upset. It means I just think you'd fit well for what I'd try to accomplish. I think everyone is pretty great at mafia overall and plays to the best of their abilities always! He's really actively engaged in this game in a way that he's not when he's scum. He made <300 posts in his last Large Normal scumgame over the course of 1.5 months. He's made nearly 400 posts here in less than one game day. The disparity in engagement here is just not the same.

I don't think Frog's claim should honestly change anyone's read, the role could be either alignment.
