I thought his read of you and Ranger as SvS was believable because (a) he had a latent scumread of you there going into it and (b) Ranger was just stonewalling you for a bit. It's the kind of read that sticks out like a sore thumb (in a way that wouldn't go unnoticed) and he was the first to say it was SvS, and therefore it was less likely to come from scum IMO.
