here's the thing unowen, you might just be a cautious person who doesn't want to hit buttons without thinking through the ramifications of every potential consequence

but "responsible nuke owner" is also a very convenient position for scum to take up

like scum usually don't have to be worried about being town read or not pissing off every single slot in the game

being conservative and lethal with your nukes is kind of a great way to play against that

so i mean it might be true that you are a special kind of person who has enough discipline to not immediately go for the rush of dopamine that comes from sending your upgrades in or launching a nuke

but i think on average it makes you greater than rand scum

Excuse me, I am very much the person who wants to hit buttons without thinking through every potential consequence.

But there is no dopamine rush to sending a nuke without the sense of righteousness and conviction about it. And don't see it on upgrades, if I knew for certain that I couldn't double up on a stat I would have sent them in already but even then it would hardly be comparable to trying to turn someone to nuclear ash.

The implication here is that Andante didn't nuke me because she's afraid I would have just nuked her back - which might seem reasonable since I had said that I did have suspicion. But obviously that makes no sense if Chell thinks I'm scum, in which case the reason Andante scum wouldn't nuke me is because I'm her buddy!

I think the emphasis would be different if so. Like if Chell wants to say "look Andante is dodging nuking her scum buddy" then the stuff about Gamma not using her nuke yet is beside the point. And yes it could be that Chell is making a general call out of Andante being sus in whatever scenario but that doesn't track with her claimed confidence that I'm scum.

To me it reads like a call out for me specifically to notice that Andante had avoided nuking me because she was worried I'd strike back - and that I would then reach the conclusion Andante is scum and I should nuke her. Maybe that's just my perspective but that was the second instance of Chell backing up a suspicion I'd stated so taken together it looks manipulative.

What do you make of the T3/marcistar interactions and Chell's conclusion on them?

The first point that came to mind is it doesn't look fair to tie all those quotes together following the "why didn't marci OMGUS nuke" without including that marci nuked Cakez after only the second quote so the quotes after don't really apply to that particular argument.

Tbf that could just be a mistaken implication because Chell was instead trying to say that marci's posts looked like scumbuddy distancing - but I don't think that's the obvious conclusion. Yes marci's "OMG T3's so scummy!" attitude looks pretty fake in hindsight however I don't really get the impression that this necessarily means scum clumsily distancing and not scum clumsily faking a scum read.

It doesn't seem sensible for you to be scum anymore while your team seem so resigned to defeat. Andres had a decent chance of surviving a nuke but he hardly bothered to pretend. Ircher's doing the bare minimum too.
