Reads are as follows:
Mulch - ? town via Jingle?
Stop Getting Banned Again - I don't understand how this slot became the "obvtown" slot? It's not that clear to me...
PenguinPower - town?
Porkens - TOWN
Jingle - TOWN
Gorkington - TOWN
Titus - ? scum
Nosferatu (replaced KidAmn) - ?
Ginngie - TOWN
Almost50 - scum
schadd_ - ?
Punreader (replaced CheekyTeeky) - scum
Officiallyread up through p19, though I did skim through most recent posts this morning.
I'm exhausted, btw, fiance was on call and phone went off at dumb o'clock this morning. I also have boot camp and salon later, and it's month end right now, so probably wont be much efforting today. But I'm here.Art is cool.-

Are you trying to write a case for Titus being town or pun? Because this is doing the latter. In post 549, Nosferatu wrote:

I also don't think Titus requires to policy vote to make a natural entrance to the game.In post 542, Punreader wrote:The better question is why would a town Titus decide to vote someone for language?
I'm sorry, but if that was your only Cardassian to lay on the table, it's not good enough. "Too punny to be pun" is not a valid defense. Not even from skilled pun players. I don't care how good you are. You're not immune to making misplays. Just because you draw an alignment doesn't mean you know how to nail the interaction. In post 559, Jingle wrote:
Yup. Textbook. We're talking about ETL and Titus here. If they were doing intentional scum theater, it wouldn't look anywhere near this obvious. If Titus thought they had legit problems, they would've hashed it out in scumchat as scumbuddies and come up with a way more organic form of interaction. Hence, the awkwardness of the interaction means they're probably not scum together. In post 532, Punreader wrote:
That post is precisely what makes me think the team is so viable in the first place. I don't know what the hell you're reading but those are textbook pun theater interactions. They're not surefire pun from the dialog, but it is something disproportionately likely to come from punbuddies. If you want me to highlight the especially egregious parts, I can.In post 529, Jingle wrote:@Pun- reread 356. That's where I'm pretty sure Titus/ETL isn't scum/scum.
But there is absolutely nothing there which is an interaction strongly suggesting they're unaligned. Quite the opposite. The soft distance is precisely the stratagem to use. So I strongly feel your Elimination of the team is a mistake.
If it looks like a pun, then it is probably just a pun.
Drop all my non-Titus/ETL/schadd_ punreads, because this is a pun replacement. Cane you guess why?In post 568, mhsmith0 wrote:Eddie (hydra of Eddie Cane and schadd_) replaces schadd_ effective immediately.Let me give an Alternative perspective.-

In post 609, Punreader is talking to Jingle about why the interaction between me/Titus is or isn't scum/scum. Jingle is saying it distinctly isn't and gives his reason. Pun says Jingle is wrong, and tell him he's not "immune to misplays" - this means that Pun is looking at Jingle as town since he's "wrong" as opposed to "lying". There is no discernible trajectory for him to have this as a read, thus he must already know Jingle is town.In post 617, Ginngie wrote:Heyo

do I need full context of a catch up to understand what you're saying or nah
The second part is the fact that Jingle is saying it is town/town, or at least town/scum, not scum/scum. Pun says he's wrong, thus Pun knows that it's NOT town/town. He's trying to say that it's scum/scum, but sinceI know I'm town- I understand that you don't, but from my perspective, this is resolved for me - since I know I'm town, it can only be town/town or town/scum. Pun saying it's not, means he knows Titus is scum.
Does that make sense?Art is cool.-

Um.In post 615, EspeciallyTheLies wrote:That's why you're so confident Jingle is "making misplays".
That's not what I said.
That was generic-you. "You're not immune to misplays". Not "Jingle, you are not immune to misplays". You, as a generic character. The proper pronoun to use in place of the generic you would be "A person is not immune to misplays". That was what I was stating. So in this instance. The "You're not immune to misplays". Has the implication of. "ETL is not immune to misplays; Titus is not immune to misplays". Because both you (specific you), and Titus, fall under the generic You.
None of my points are questions because I don't ask questions. I raise points.
All of these are points.

He is rather strongly a townread. And has been since very early. The only reason he frankly isn't a much stronger townread is out of respect to his pungame; I feel that while unlikely, this level of high-caliber play is possible from him as pun. Just incredibly improbable. In post 447, Punreader wrote:

Reference
When I said "You're not immune to misplays". It was an unspecified person you. Impersonal you. Indefinite you. Generic you. Call it what you want, but the meaning was quite clear. No player is immune to making misplays as pun. Context made it quite clear I was referring specifically to ETL and Titus's interactions. In English grammar and in particular in casual English, generic you, impersonal you, or indefinite you is the use of the pronoun you to refer toan unspecified person, as opposed to its use as the second person pronoun.Let me give an Alternative perspective.-

Apologies. I forgot to address this.
That's the problem, actually. Eddie's not where you want to be right now, trust me. His content since coming in has been to establish a presence and challenge you for the position of town leader and direct the town away from the direction it needs to head towards. In post 618, Jingle wrote:I can definitely grok your schadd_ argument, btw, pun, but cane seems pretty town since the replace.
Given his competency as both alignments, I can confidently say that this is the play he makes as pun. His approach as town is entirely different.Let me give an Alternative perspective.
