Well then it'd be hard to explain, because you'd have to see it to understand. Town!Thor takes his time and tried to look from different angles before he puts his vote down on someone. Scum!Thor is good at fabricating a case from scratch and making it look like a good case to someone skimming the thread. You need to look close enough to tell the difference. And besides, he does know me well, and has even been scum with me before, so I'm not buying a player of his caliber trying to mislynch me on D1 based on absolutely nothing. Not unless he doesn't want to waste a shot at me overnight, because he couldn't tell if I was crumbing PR or baiting the NK as a VT or what the hell I am doing, and would rather not make the wrong decision.

Did I? THAT is the trick. I can literally soft on my first post and no one would notice, or I could FAKE a PR as VT and scum would fall for it. I mean, I overdid it the last time and Gamma was Scum and picked up on it, but if it's a crumb it usually goes unnoticed and often enough seen as "fluff" by most (PP was Gamma's scum p in that game and he didn't notice anything until Gamma pointed it out in their scum thread, and their 3rd was DrDolittle who had modded a game which started simultaneously with that game, seen me crumb my role in a different way and still didn't see my crumb in the game with him/PP/Gamma until it was pointed out to him). I am overloaded, but that has nothing to do with the intentional crumb. Two separate facts: I crumbed my role in a way that should have confused the players that are more familiar with me, but TOWN them would have been puzzled and would wait for it to unfold (BuJaber did just that). Just a conversation piece here. But why is it in mafia games that a hammer to town looks any worse than the any of the other votes to get to a position to hammer. Is it just that stand out post that ends a day that brings all the eyes? I've never understood it this mind frame.

I think it's human nature to look at the person who hammered, since that person technically "did it" - they're the one that got whoever lynched. Other people on the wagon don't want blood on their hands when it goes south, which is why the hammer takes most of the attention.

As for why DLA specifically, he popped in to bandwagon Milk, then the next gameplay-related post was Thor voting Milk, his counterwagon. DLA instantly hops on the Thor wagon for Thor's post sounding "fake", and gets Thor lynched. The reasoning there was awful (what made Thor's post sound fake?), and the low time between DLA's two votes makes it seem like he never intended to seriously lynch Milk and just wanted Thor to post and then lynch that.

I dunno if you got milk confused with Robert or if you're talking about something earlier.

I've done it before.. BOTH ways. I did hammer someone without realizing it (and as both alignments) and I also did fake not knowing I was hammering someone whom I was indeed very aware I was hammering (but only as scum).

In short; it matters not much to me. What does is that you switched off Robert and unto Thor in a time that they both were @L-1 with 1 non-voter to decide the lynch, and I don't see how you could've SR'd them both yet opted to join the smaller of the two wagons. Furthermore, we have the flips of the two now so it looks shady at best, or a scum move at worst.

First, the proposed JK can't protect either of them because of the RB effect of them. So, the Cop is dead tonight.
The JK does not auto clear their target, unless we

@DDJ: This always happens to me, because people don't want to pay close attention to what I say/do. You just wanted to get a read on me and you did, but did you actually stop and ask WHY I did what I did? I doubt it. Did you try to guess why I'm promoting a No Lynch? I'm certain you didn't.

I HAVE INFO & I HAVE A ROLE. I'm basically a MECHANICAL player. I use the game mechanics + the info I can get in any given game to solve it.

I do not wish to reveal the info I have at this time, but I can do that tomorrow (and there's no chance I would die tonight because of my role).

Now I know you need more of an explanation, but I assure you the more info I reveal NOW the less useful it is. Tomorrow is another case altogether (because of the situation we're in today). The way I figured would be best for us to play this out is to no lynch and wait for the 'morrow.

I didn't say it does. What I'm saying is we are killing off townies and the Vig is shooting off scum. We are making the Vig's job a bit harder by pressuring them to be right every time because we have not been right once yet. Might as well apply a "follow the

Vig" kind of strategy so long as it's paying off.

Also, people have always advised me not to put too much thought about replacing out, and I always find it hard to ignore the timing and circumstances of a replace out.

FFS, I AM THE BLOODY VIG AND I HAVE THE BLOODY INFO I NEED!

First off, let me come clean: I lied about being a Commuter. I didn't know how to handle my "slip" otherwise. And yes, it was a slip indeed, just not a "scum slip".

My role is bizarre. I simply submit a list of 3 living players each night. If one (and exactly one) of them is Scum, they die and the scum kill is blocked. If none, 2 or all 3 are scum my action fails and the scum NK goes through.

On N1 I picked DDJ as a slot I hard TR'd. My 2nd choice would have been in Cheeky/Flubber/LA (as TRs), and Robert as the 3rd (the counterwagon to a flipped townie), and I decided to go for a Cheeky. If it ended up with someone else dying I would have assumed Robert was Town because DDJ was already all but confirmed in my eyes and Cheeky was close enough and was not on the lynch wagon on D1. I guess I was a bit lucky with Robert, thus confirming the other 2 as Town and from then on it was an easy job.

On N2 I was torn between 2 thoughts: Pick 3 others and see what happens (at best it could have confirmed 2 more townies, but at worst it could have resulted in mine or DDJ/Cheeky's death at the hands of the Mafia and I would have taken a step back rather than forward, so to speak). I picked the alternative of using my 2 confirmed townies with someone I suspected, so as to either kill scum or confirm a third townie 100%. I picked joges over milk.

N3 is going to be even easier. I am using DDJ+Cheeky+milk. Either milk dies or he is confirmed a townie.

The thing is if we hypothetically assume milk to be Town then we most probably lose a Townie tonight due to the Mafia kill. And now that I fully claimed I suspect that Townie would be me. This is partially why I didn't want to out, because as long as they thought I was a Commuter they would not have risked shooting me anyway, and especially so with the situation they're in. They simply cannot afford a failed NK.

The other reason was for fear they may have a Doctor or a roleblocker. *Sigh*

At first I thought NO WAY we have a JK with my role. Then it hit me: WHAT IF the game had went another route on D1 and I wasn't as lucky on N1? There would have been every chance that >I< would be the NK (the designer certainly didn't account for my "slip" resulting in me faking Commuter, did they?). If that was the case then would the Town be without an investigative/protective for the rest of the game? Because my role IS THE BLOODY INVESTIGATIVE, PROTECTIVE AND KILLING ROLE ALL IN ONE. That's why I didn't go for a milky lynch and decided it's better to verify him via my night action. It makes sense that a JK may exist as a backup for my role minus the killing part. Also the investigative part of his in nerfed compared to mine under the current situation.

Now how bloody hard would it have been for you to just trust me on a MECHANICAL DECISION? It has nothing to do with "gut" or "associative tells" or anything like that. A purely mechanical play by someone in the know.

The JK (if true) is a negative utility as long as I'm a live. You gave a false guilty (I'm not necessarily saying it's a "fake" as in "you're lying", but it's "dalse" because I know Cheeky is Town based on my own action). You also could have targeted ME, in which case my kill would have still failed and I would have thought one of Robert/joges was confirmed a townie.

To evaluate the possibility/probability of two roles existing in the same setup you need to look at the interaction between the two and how each affects the other. In my view it is plausible to have a JK alongside my role. That's why I do not want to "lynch" you. However, there's a part of me that is still skeptical of your claim, despite the fact that I can't see the scum motive behind the claim. That's why I want to verify you beyond any reasonable doubt.

Just to be clear: I am checking MILK tonight. It's a done deal. The list I will submit will be DDJ, Cheeky (my 2 confirmed townies) on addition to milk. If I die milk is confirmed a townie. If he dies we nailed a 3rd scum. If someone else does (unlikely, but who know what scum are thinking right now) milk is still confirmed a townie and we can work from there.

I see no reason to go for someone else when milk has claimed a PR. I mean, I could go for X, Y or Z and then die and confirm them, and the claimed PR would still be of an unknown alignment, so there's no point in that.

As for lynching, I've come to realize that it makes little difference indeed. Just the difference between LyLo and MyLo and to make use of this slight advantage we'd need to no lynch on another day which will give scum a better chance if I'm dead by then, so yeah. I'll support a lynch today.
