Right now it's just gut reads and speculation.
The trouble I'm having is giving someone a solid TR. I've Re read the game and practically everyone gives me reason to pause. I'm still in the process of sifting through the ISOs and weighing my opinions.
I'm not voting you rn because I SR Elbirn more. If I see his flip it will help me make connections-

I want to think players like that could be Town but then WIFOM comes into play and I hesitate. My reads smoothen out as the days progress but right now I can't rule anyone out as Town or Scum.In post 527, Varsoon wrote:What makes you scumread Elbirn so hard?
And, really, a hesitation to townread any slot--can you go more into that? Even players like Zito and A50?-

I think that's a fair enough stance if you really can't come to any conclusions.
They problem is that if you're not really committing to hard reads early on, it becomes a lot harder to read you as we start getting flips. It's like "Oh, what did BEF have to say about that guy? Ah.... not much" if that makes sense. I tend to get my best reads from interactions rather than from infospec, so maybe try that instead? In my experience, scum tend to want to keep their options open as possible, which is why I'm critical of that kind of play--you're also scumreading Elbirn, which is a stance I don't agree with and I feel is a bit easy to take given how many have taken it. Once again--can you go a bit more into why Elbirn is your top scumread?
What players do you think you need to interact more with?-

Just reading in real time I was getting the feeling that fish was lynchbait. Reading ISOs I'm not so sure.In post 441, BrightEyedFish wrote:According to my own personal stats elbrin is scum for being the 3rd person on the redtea wagon and I TR redtea, so...

Fish, how do you vote elbirn without making any comment on 409 (his most substantial post)? I get that he didn't look good at first (just goofing around) but that reads list was pretty good - lined up fairly well with my own thoughts, didn't look like the obligatory reads list from panicked replacement into scum slot. I was particularly impressed that he put me (and A50) into a "feel nothing" category, as I know that I've been neglecting this game and needed to get back into it. He could easily have justified putting one or both of us as scum leans for lack of activity, but didn't. It reads like an honest assessment.
So...what about 409 don't you agree with?-

If I had to pick a top TR right now, that would be redtea. It's not a solid read but the closest I have. So I was weary of redtea's wagon. And since he wrote this in 409:In post 531, Persivul wrote: So...what about 409 don't you agree with?
I used one of my oldest scum tells in the book to use my version of his method, jumping on a wagon as the 3rd vote. And his reasoning behind his vote is just as unsubstantiated and to me feels forced but just vague enough to justify him jumping on that wagon. In post 409, Elbirn wrote:
6. Redtea is scum. She uses many words to say nothing and is eerily fixated on catching 3P which is the oldest scumtell in the book.

I'm not. Reading you is easier on D2/D3, so why should I bother giving it a real shot today? P.S. If you're specidically referring to my vote being still on you, I've explained earlier that there's nothing wrong in being lazy to unvote when I don't have a new voting target to push and your wagon being literally a vanity wagon with just one vote on you (unless my voting powers are proportional with my age, in which case I should always be a double to you or even treble voter to someone like Creature).

I got the sense that there might be more than 2 factions by reading my Role PM maybe redtea got the same vibe. Perhaps if elbirn had a town role pm he might understand that.In post 538, Varsoon wrote:Alright I don't think I understand your last paragraph in post 533 then
Players having an unwarranted fixation for 3P on D1 does tilt info knowledge that's not readily available for town, so I can at least understand why Elbirn would scumread/want to pressure that.-

Not exactly, but statistically a 5 person wagon has a higher probability of the 3rd slot being scum than the other 4. I used to use that in my own scum hunting when I started playing, so I do understand. (I forgot the exact distribution and I think it only related to D1 mislynches in Newbie games though)In post 534, Varsoon wrote:Wait, scum only ever jumps on wagons as a third vote?

i remember it being a rule i was coached on a while back, too. i don't use it now because it's so easy to manipulate.
Robert does seem lynchbaity, but i'm usually pretty good at finding the town in that, and i'm not seeing it here.
539 is a towny post, for me right now.
i haven't slept in 28 hours so, let's take everything with a grain of salt."Sibling," Farkran asked, starting slowly.
"The CORE is full of lasers, and Chemist1422's entire existence depends on her eye. If she looks into a laser, she will almost certainly die. Did you think about that?"
"Oh yes, my brother. I love thinking about that."-

I agree with you on Varsoon, but I'm hesitant to Lynch him just because my gut says maybe he just talks funny. Very little he's said/done indicates strong scum to me, so I'd prefer if we didn't Lynch there today. In post 504, implosion wrote:I'm willing to jump on Robert if needed but not really feeling elbirn. I'd also be willing to jump on Varsoon again. His posturing around the votelessness feels off-ish. Feels somewhat like scum saying "you're not allowed to suspect me now" so as to be allowed to coast through the early game for free. His reads list has a whole lot of "this is a person in the game and i have no strong/real opinions beyond this" to support that.
