anti-chill is cute for the discord server joke but not descriptive of his mafia playstyle nor onsite composure at all
this one's groovy.

kinda think this is less of a personality thing and more acknowledge his posting style. why compromise one when it can do both? just a title including "bold" is great.-

something something layers something
Boon has the kind of big personality which is deceptively harder to capture than it seems. this kind of title is the way to go, like I'm not sure there's a "perfect title" which encapsulates his essence wittily
this one is rly good
pedit: he has a few accounts, flavor leaf is his mafia playing main I guess and has a kinda different style. Boon he uses more to mod. I think FL is the one with SE access fwiw-

like the semicolon more than the underscore I think
the motif of an underscored title under an underscored username probably won't look as cool and it's more reflective of his username and less reflective of his posting style-

the using semicolons to bump thing is a neat +1 for using it in the title imo, compare to e.g. queen shifty-

i think it's unique because we already use it (thinking back to keyser soze's "wolf in sheep's clothing")
that being said i actually think i like it a little and the alliteration of Dannflor/Deepwolf is kinda snazzy
let me meditate on it-

i like it!! it suits sausage better the more you think about it
he's regularly that townie voice of reason, as town. i can dig through games if you need but i see him often telling his townmates to focus and stay on track. even when not correct, nudging the game in a direction where it'll become more solvable. an example that leaps to mind (only time we've both been town smh) is psyche's liars and millers game where we were on trajectory for a d2 town win. people started getting all paranoid and stuff. sausage swept in with the "don't panic friends, [the last scum] is the last scum". he was right. his continued positive assertion of that read was a large part of what kept us from flying off the rails in that phase, and it's something i've seen across games i've modded/backup'd for sausage as well.
the subtle humour and ambiguous-ironic vibe in the title suits his general posting style/sense of humour extremely well imo. like it's like, something you can safely take at face value as i'll detail. but it's also a kind of funny thing to just, say out of the blue. like outside of sausage popping into sitechat with the phase, i can't really imagine somebody saying it conversationally without being at least slightly funny. but it's not really important whether it's ironic or not, it's kinda just a funny-but-nice thing to see, y'know?
that humourous vibe also lends really well to his scumgame which is equally social, and extremely cheeky. he's capable of being simultaneously that "townie voice of reason [tm]", absolutely hilarious, and looking like he's positively reinforcing the gamestate, while being scum.
different pros & cons, but i'm seeing a similar energy here to what struck me about "for the homies" for enter--i accept it's a meme/catchphrase but until i saw von's nom i hadn't even considered it as a title and now that i'm thinking about it i'm like nodding along a little
i don't wanna start a war if people are passionate about anti-nomming; just ~felt~ it and wanted to drop some earnest commentary. this might also help mastina consider the title (if she chooses to)-

if it'll help i'll collate examples, at some point - one included in my writeup. don't have the time at the moment. In post 786, Firebringer wrote:> I don't think he is regularly voice of reason? Never seen him in game be this.
talked about in the write-up. it's simultaneously sincerely sweet, and also a slightly funny thing to say (subtle humour). In post 786, Firebringer wrote:> the subtle humour and ambiguous-ironic vibe. What?
it's a quirky enough turn of phrase that it may be read as ironic, and may be read as sincere. i don't think that's important; it's quite cool either way (ambiguous-ironic).
yes.In post 786, Firebringer wrote:> that humourous vibe also lends really well to his scumgame which is equally social, and extremely cheeky. Is it supposed to be funny, social or cheeky? How is it all three....-

don't think i associate still waters with being secretive; more being calm/collected. i think that resonates with dann. he's not a reserved or secretive person, but he's got that actor energy you know? he rarely misses a beat, and while he is pretty open and v fun, it's pretty rare that he's ruffled.

sorry dann this is difficult
pedit: he's not always which is kinda part of the joke; I swear he's subject to three times as much deepwolf paranoia while kinda obvtown within meta than he is scumgames in which he's actually endgame scum-

I kinda feel like this conversation might have gotten a touch detached from the reality of what we're debating here
could we have a conversation about whether mastina/everyone likes the conceptual title derivative and make a call based on that? imo attempts to expand on "deepwolf" have basically been either username puns or convoluted/detracted from the quality of the original nom
I'll concede "the deepwolf" actually flows better and better evokes the meme (i.e. "what if Dann is the deepwolf....."), but this is probs my last comment on a Dann title in this vein
I pioneered Keyser Söze for wolf in sheep's clothing for his hedgy intangible playstyle btw and I think the idea of titling Dann deepwolf or similar is umpteen more times relevant for a specifically different reason. this vein *should* probably pump out a good title but maybe it's just not quite the fit?-

W alliteration I think there's better terms than princess I just can't find the right one. like you've got a vein somewhere around peaceful/placid/pragmatic which should have a word in it I'm just not smart enough to conjure it
I like the title conceptually but something about referring to nsg as a princess doesn't quite hit the mark fmpov-

Yeah this oneIn post 1494, Volpe14 wrote:Actually the more I think about it the more I disagree about only "Schrodinger Wolf".
It gives the impression that Dann is someone you can't get a firm read on and I don't think that's true.
The title gimmick should probably be "you can't be confident that dann isn't the super secret deepwolf!" rather than "you can't be confident about Dann alignment"-

I think playing w dann is totally a matter of there simultaneously being a reality where he is just town and a reality where he is the deepwolf tbh, I specifically very much like the quantum aspect
he is also the tenth doctor as the lovely popsofctown observed but that feels auxiliary imo-

i actually think plotinus' posting pretty regularly radiates thoughtfulness and thoroughness. like his modding style is incredibly detailed and immaculate and his perspective in discussion forums (from what i've seen) seems to be regularly really well considered with a pretty detailed thought process - the whole "kit & caboodle" wordplay is something i think resonates pretty well
other than that plot pretty regularly carries the kitty avis and a love of cats is definitely something i associate p heavily with ploti
i guess it comes back to the calibre of title you're seeking, and i'm not going to wave my stick any harder than this post. i don't think that there's this spectacular multilayered resonating truth under this title, no. but i don't think there are spectacular multilayered resonating truths under many titles at all. it's appropriate to plot's onsite presence, notes his love of cats, and is cute/punny. that's about it. not a great title, but few titles are. it's a good title.
snuggly duckling is probs a reasonable comparison; it reflects my fluffy posting style / approachable/friendly nature i project onsite and references my love of ducks. this isn't me insinuating "you must pass it because my title was passed" or w/e, just like, a comparison for perspective-
