the motivation is if both you and NSG are fascist and can lie about an extra liberal being discarded and get away with it. NSG revealing it later doesn't make sense though. Also, tinfoil theory is you being hitler wanting to know if NSG is fascist, so you do a dumb lie like that and see if NSG corrects you (which she would as liberal but not as fascist more likely)
