Obviously if Profii refuses to play or fails to build their normal process as town, well..why would it ever matter what I think?

Isn't this the exact reason why Profii got wagoned in the first place? And the only time he did anything to remedy that was when he was L-1. But then he went back to his old antics immediately afterwards. And you're saying you've got a gut townread off of that?

I still think he’s scum for all the reasons I stated earlier, plus the fact that as Town I think he’d get a second wind from what happened and have a ‘nothing left to lose’ attitude, but he’s continuing in the same resigned manner.

The biggest reason why i townread Profii at all was because of my firm belief that you (Una) were playing ultra scummily and setting up future lynches based on a wagon that had yet to resolve. Calling it scum motivated and etc...
But if it turns out you actually are town going off of a ultra vague """gut""" townread and isn't scum. Then the inital points on Profii still stands and there is no reason why he shouldn't be the lynch today or in the future.

If Profii’s scum then this has turned out very similar to his other scum game against me:

I pushed hard for his lynch because he was playing so differently from his Town game with me, and when he was about to be lynched he pulled a rabbit out of the hat (a convincing fake claim) and everyone backed off. He then continued playing in a similar manner and got lynched a couple of days later.

I'll give you all two points to reconsider and then I'm done trying.

1) profii being inactive here is very much different from their very recent game where they won as scum. They were more active, and they were able to force and forge reads and associations well enough.

2) they were very transparently happy about their scum-performance, and fought for their townstatus throughout the game. This is the polar opposite of that. The VT claim. The giving up.

I know most of you will disagree on this as well, but to me, that VT-claim was very meaningful as well.

That all being said, if you really don't think any other viable pushes or scumreads have risen from the last 10 or so pages, at least profii HAS claimed VT and they haven't shown much fighting spirit here so far. So lynching them might not be the worst thing if you don't think anyone has been more inconsistent or scummy with their posts.

Ok now I get your PoV on Profii. We clearly have very different experiences of Town and scum Profii.

If he’s Town then I’d be disappointed because he is so much better than he’s showing here.

I can see the points against Anotora as well. I think they’re both decent options but I’m happy with my vote.

Assuming Proffi is town for "being too scummy" right now is just really weird.

"Too scummy to be scum" basically just means "player seems scummy but I think scum would play more carefully so probably town".

Do you think that was a weird evaluation to make based on profii's play at the time?

I recommend to include Riabi on the list as well, his Saudade read isn't consistent, it kinda fluctuates from "must lynch" to "I want him to talk" with no reason.

It's not actually inconsistent. I think he's anti-town, and that's enough reason in my book to lynch someone early, regardless of alignment. That said, that doesn't mean I won't also vote to lynch someone I find worse/more scummy.

Riabi you've been popping in with very noncommittal statements all game.

You need to post a reads list and give some real original thoughts for your reads.

town!Churros shouldn't ask a question like this. It's like asking 'hi if you're scum can you please cherry pick some evidence of that to fool me?"

It feels like a fake question meant to look like Churros is trying to be fair.

That being said, I am liking what I am reading from Churros' catch up so far outside of this question.

Anyway, townies - please don't discuss other peoples assumed roles or hints during the early days.
You achieve NOTHING good for town by doing that.
Really stop, and think - what good could come from bringing those observations to the front?
If they are really a townPR, you have just pointed those things out for scum.
And if they are not, you have just weaved a massive WIFOM-nest for scum to abuse.
NOTHING. GOOD. COMES. FROM. DISCUSSING. ROLES. BEFORE. ACTUAL. CLAIMS.
While this site has a wide variety of views on how the game actually should be played - varying from player to player - I do not think anyone can argue why it's a good thing for town to talk about roles.


In this particular game, it's only myself or profii who might get shot for what Zantetsu has just said here, and

This is predominantly why I town read Luca. I do tend to do that though, town read players who I feel are more perceptive than I am.
