lol you're thinking of this one, although i wouldn't go so far as to call it solvey

Leave alone how it looked - you produced trajectories from the beginning of the game while taking notes. I respect the effort! :D

While I haven't reviewed that interaction properly yet, Starbuck's emotive response feels townie.

the attempt to solve the game day 1 with associations is a good sign imo.

i don't really agree with the concept of game solving d1 in a game this big, but the fact he's trying it at all strikes me as sincere.

It's early to partner hunt him, but if I had to, I would expect at least one on-wagon early bus and at least one off-wagon detractor.

On-wagon: Could be VP Baltar. He felt the need to over explain why he was sheeping me. Could denote self consciousness.

Off-wagon: Porkens or Llamarble. Porkens took a direct stab at the wagon based on IIAU's post count. Llamarble indirectly did the same by bringing it up under the guise of helpfully describing the wagon.
saw this post because of MT's . do you really think that vpb is playing a scumgame here? i dont want to get too meta-ready but he seems a little more unfiltered than he did in our last normal, at least enough to outweigh anything like early day 1 weak associatives

This feels disingenuous when I think more about it:

You tried to claim or at least implied that that's a good representative of my play and thus different from here. I pointed out that I lurked and didn't do much (I did have my votes consistently on scum, but lalala hindsight).

Your reaction then was to continue to double down on that argument by then treating that game as somewhat similar to my play here but dismissing it as "him within a hydra".

It feels like instead of actually discerning what could cause a change in my style, you're tunneling on the *didn't achieve expectations* argument anyway.

I'm doing a terrible job this game, and I've recently realized that I've completely forgotten how to scum hunt (I think I knew back in like 2017ish but it's gone now - if anyone can recommend some reading I'd appreciate it)

THAT BEING SAID

This post is scummy to me because it's coaxing suspicion if that makes any sense.

Porkens we need a vote from you somewhere. I prefer if you put it on Auro or maybe Crayons, but in general, having a probably-town vote in play helps everyone analyze everything.

Well your post is different. The only reference I have playing with you was when you were in a hydra and I would say you were less spammy in the hydra then you are here. I remember Animal Upick was goofy for a bit but that was the majority being goofy. When Double Day happened that went pretty quickly less goofy. So I typically see you going where the game goes instead of like this.

@farside: Solidify and summarize the differences between what you think is my town play, and my play this game, please. Is it that I am too spammy (you say I was less spammy in the hydra) or I'm not doing enough (I was an easy top poster in Doubles)? And as town I goof around as a function of town goofing around, and here I'm still throwing out feeble jokes in a while so... that's concerning?

But you can start with 'not trying hard enough to find scum.'

VOTE: farside22

;) does that qualify?

Seriously, though: it's mighty convenient to stay where you're at while you expect me to conjure a solid gold scumread when I've already been producing many townreads, and it's already been established I don't have "solid gold scumreads" this early usually - that kind of BoP application after just Animals and Doubles is :?:

(Also in Doubles I was taking a top down approach of town bucketing and PoE, it was a while before I started actually pushing slots like Shuichi as explicitly scum, so there's yet another incorrect evaluation)

Then please vote it; I'd say CLAP is a fine and acceptable vote anyhow.

In terms of recommended reading, ISOing the top 4 wagons and picking one to vote would be a good place to start.
