If you claim now the general attitude is gonna be what the hell there was no need to do that yet. And people will switch to VP and him counter claiming you won't look town. I like the claim and counter claim scenario better if it feels like the first claim was forced by the wagon.

Depends on the situation. If you have to claim, waiting doesn't help any more than having to step away

I think there is a good possibility my wagon falls apart, but I was thinking I could post something like this now if we are still thinking about the claim stuff:

"I've been thinking about this a lot today. I do strongly think I'm being run up as a policy in a way because people want action in this game. We are 40 pages in and there is an air of apathy in the room. I believe there are people on my wagon who don't think I'm really that scummy, but just want an event to react to so they don't need to keep slogging through pages and pages of nonsense. I'm going to throw the offer out there to claim as a sacrifice to that action. I don't think it's the right play, but if people generally want that and it will lead to actual scum hunting, I'll do it this afternoon when I return to make my auro case."

Shoot - for a moment there I forgot that farside was actually our scum buddy. I always knew it, I suddenly thought maybe she wasn't and got spooked.

I suppose my crap-ass memory may be a boon sometimes, no?

@VPB: My only reservation with that is that once people know there are multi-trackers, they will infer that scum know that, and may also infer that scum would not want to claim at L-1 if they're sharp enough; or at least that scum would want to make use of it. While you did do your best to come up with a rational argument for claiming, it does sound like it has a bit of emotion and I don't feel that's your natural style.

Also, note that claiming this way was the way to make the best of a shitty situation. With the wagon falling apart, our ideal scenario is town getting to L-1 and then claiming tracker for someone to quickhammer!

I love how all farside posts of mine get outright ignored! And I can complain all I want about it 3:) probably I should come up with weaksauce attacks on some townsfolk too, so the associations are muddled.

One area I was going to push you in my "case" is not rallying a farside wagon hard enough. So you can prep for that and I'll mention your recent attacks as making you look more townie
