2- Show me where I was PR-hunting. I was under the impression my posts were devoid of effort, and PR hunting is even more effort consuming than scum-hunting
3- 3P hunting? I only did ONE reference to it, and that was specifically @Drew because he is like ALWAYS 3P whenever possible (i.e. if a setup does have 3P roles)

1- He actually didn't specify "town". He said "non-factional" which I get may have registered that way in the back of your mind, but the fact is scum could very well have personal abilities too.
2- This is the main point: Why would ANYONE make such a "shady" claim with absolutely no pressure on them? It's not like he was being wagoned or there was an investigation result on him. My thoughts are:

a- He's telling the truth and wants to be out of the game (with a win) ASAP
b- He is doing it for the memes and to get the reactions
c- He is baiting action unto himself. Now this last one has a widerange of possible motives, which does include being Scum with a harmful role, but it also includes being TOWN who has a weird role (and believe me I wouldn't put it past this mod to include a Disloyal PGO in his setup) or a traditional one (Commuter for instance) and is doing this to bait the scum kill (they would want to prevent him from using his acquired shots)

That's why I said I didn't want to talk about it earlier. It is totally NAI and it looks like a bluff, but in order to see it (and try to decide the motive behind it) you need to let it roll and observe from a distance.

Like, if I had a night action myself I would not have targeted Alcj with it tonight, because I am not sure if he is telling the truth, but I cannot in good faith support a lynch on someone who claimed that role so early on D1 and under no pressure before I can understand what's going on with him and/or around him.

Glancing at his iso (I read the first 50% of it and read nothing in context), I think he seems a lot more laid back in that game. He also tries to eliminate noisiness in that game; I noticed he specifically defendeded you when people apparently criticized you for doing the same. Contrast to this game where he is affectively brittle and became defensive specifically when I said that his posts were noisy, with the character of his defensiveness saying that he was playing "to have fun" (i.e., rather than disputing that he was noisy).

I didn't get mad at the "noisy" part. I got mad at the nonsense of accusing me of PR hunting (and you have yet to explain how that post was in anyway PR hunting). You also said I was AtE'ing in another post of mine and I fail to see that, and you said I was townhunting (which -if true is a towntell. because scum never need to townhunt as they already know who is on their team and who is not).

I can only address that last one (because I don't even see the other two): As TOWN one could townhunt for various reasons:
A- They are unfamiliar with many of the players, so they try to use PoE by finding out who is TOWN and lynching in the rest.
B- A Doctor would NATURALLY wasnt to make sure they are targeting TOWN (A Town Doctor, that is)
C- A Weak Hider (or any other role with the weak modifier) would want to Town hunt to ensure their survival
D- Any role with the Loyal modifier would want to Town hunt to be able to verify themselves ASAP

And many many more.

Of course, to those who know me I could also be VANILLA and bluffing to bait the NK unto myself. But that would only work on those who

A player’s persona/flavor is not alignment indicative, but it could be important for other aspects in the game.

^THAT^, and the fact that my character can go either way makes me able to assure you flavour has nothing to do with alignments. It also was the case in the previous game by this mod, so I'm pretty sure of it.

HOWEVER, claiming flavour is a bad idea still because: (a) The mod says "it could be important for other aspects in the game", and judging by the last game if there's -say- a Lyncher they are told they should lynch [flavour here] to win. If there is a "scum sympathizer" (that was my role in the previous game) they are told they win if [flavour here] wins.

In fact I wasn't even told whether Chris Jericho was town or scum in the previous game, so I didn't know whether I was tied to scum or town. Just that I win with Chris Jericho.

Make of that what you will. Personally I wouldn't be too stubborn about claiming my flavour if everybody agrees to. If my death gives a 3P a win and make then leave then so be it. But I wouldn't advise/support the idea to begin with.

I'm afraid we're not here to be arse holes to other's (well, not solely for that reason anyway), so it's not about making Alch lose, but rather about us winning.

Now you may think it good to eliminate anyone who is not TOWN, but I would also like to remind you that it's basically WASTING A TERMINATION. Granted, we may end up running a Townie instead, but -at least- we will have the VC for that to analyze later on. With a claimed 3P elimination even that bit is lost. So, you're basically turning the game into a night start because D1 doesn't count in any meaningful way. Scum may or may not vote Alch and we have absolutely no way to tell if they're more inclined to do one over the other. They don't need a reason to vote there (if they do) because you have already given them the reason. WHAT do we get from a D1 Termination on a claimed 3P?? How do we proceed from there?

And yes, I can see TOWN!Drew saying what he did and even believing in it. One would need to provide a reason for voting him, and if he ends up terminated and flips green one would be liable for theor vote there, unlike a vote on Alch under the guise "he's not one of us".

Would they have their Doctor/RB/Role Cop (or whatever the hell personal abilities they've been given in this game) on him? Cuz I sure as hell would be staying away from him if I was Scum. The ONLY ability I'd be using on him is the FACTIONAL NK, and that's if he starts being more spot on than not. Otherwise, let him be the distraction for some town players that he is right now.

I see you (or someone else) responding with: Well, that's exactly why we need to terminate him sooner than later, to which I will point you to my previous post. The answer is NOT to waste our termination shot on D1 on him. The answer is to have the weaker TPRs remove him. A vig shot (as Elsa claimed would do) is best used on Alcj. If he is telling the truth he has a Vig shot that he could be leashed to use on someone particular or in a certain pool. If he does he gets to use the 2nd ability he would be given on N2. If he doesn't he eats rope on D2 because he didn't side by town. If he is lying he will die on N1. I don't see how anyone could see it differently. A Vigilante shooting someone to test their claim is the BEST use of a Vig shot next to shooting a guilty we couldn't finish on that day.

Let the 3P prove themselves please, instead of getting rid of them without giving them a chance first.

The 3P isn't in a position to prove anything interesting about themselves, and it would take until D3 at the earliest, and scum will obviously interfere with this at this point and keep it from working, so it will take longer vs be easy to feign it taking longer.

I can only think of 3 ways for scum to interfere here, and I am listing them down from

likely to most likely:

1- Scum have a Rolestopper to prevent Alch from getting gifts (I don't think this mod uses Rolestoppers, hence it's least likely, although the most efficient)

2- Scum can shoot him (in which case he's eating a bullet for the town. Good reason to keep alive today)

3- Scum can RB/JK Alch (and AGAIN that's him taking a Block off a town folk)

I say 3 is more likely than too only because if I was scum I would never waste my NK on a claimed 3P unless they were a threat to my win con AND there was no other way around it. So, unless scum do NOT have a Roleblocker AND they suspect Alch may receive something powerful (a Cop shot for instance) and that he is likely to use it on one of them, I say killing him isn't optimal play from Scum PoV.

The question is whether a "strong" TPR is willing to take the rsik targeting Alch, not only because it could be a trap, but also because it's a "delayed" night action (Alch will be using it the NEXT night), and that actually is one more reason why Scum won't shoot Alch tonight at the very least.

But what am I arguing? You guys want to go down the least optimal route on D1 and the idea is gaining momentum!

I have stated clear opinions on both of these players in the thread itself. I have said that I think that Alchemist is 3rd party or scum and should be eliminated. This belief was reflected in my saying as much and voting for Alchemist. I think that DD's play is scummy, but multiple people have said that he has a scummy playstyle. I think I remember DD having some kind of acknowledging/gleeful post after I said as much. I have not independently read his play in other games to vet this idea, but am OK trusting the POV for now based on how pervasive the idea is.

Town!Pooky is either telling the truth or is absolutely confident in that read.
Scum!Pooky wouldn't do that to a partner, because if DGB is ever flipped he goes next.
Scum!Pooky could do it to Town!DGB though for any of these reasons: Pocketing, establishing fake associatives, or to pave the way for a NK on DGB (although that would be less likely because as a confirmed Townie any protective or Watcher are expected to be on her). Another elaborate reason (I dunno Pooky all that well) would be for us to precisely consider that last one, so scum have a safe kill elsewhere.

Um.. that's not the point. The point is if targeted by a non-factional action he should absorb it, so a Rolestopper would not rolestop him but rather he should have gained a 1-shot RS himself.

BUT that still leaves the possibility you might have been RB'd and EJ didn't target him. If EJ confirms he did target Alch I am afraid Alch's credibility falls down (although he may also be lying TODAY so that he can get to use the shot he received from you/EJ tonight)

Let me reorder these though: You received the PM about the day start. You didn't receive any notifications about any 1-shot abilities gained. You PM'd the mod to verify he didn't forget. Now, why did you talk about it here before he responded? THAT is the starting question, because if you had waited you would not have had to announce you receive/didn't receive anything, so why did you do that knowing it would draw some negative flack your way, and you did it before you were even sure it is the case (and it turned out not to be the case)?

Like, I want to believe you, and I do sincerely sympathize with the situation you're in (3P survivour is hard to play no matter how the mod tries to help them. I know because I played it and I also tailored a couple of roles in my own games, and had to give them some silly abilities to give them a chance. Ask EJ).

OTOH, I am also eying the best play (and my view could still be tainted by my town PoV, although I wouldn't say so). "I didn't receive anything" would have been good for you to dodge the scum NK, but is extremely bad for your chances to survive by day. "I have a Cop shot" is an invitation for scum to either kill or RB you, so that defies any +ve you gained from the previous "I didn't receive anything" and it does NOT improve your chances to survive the day either.

Knowing you, I do know you are a GOOD player as EITHER alignment (I dunno about 3P though), so I was wondering what exactly you were trying to accomplish here.

My mimd is al messed up by the chkflip-Logical confrontation. Like, I understand chkflip's side of it, but I'm not as sure I can comprehend what Logical's argument is. I mean, he missed chk's vote on Lavender. Fine. But even if chk didn't vote Lavender at all (which isn't true but let's say Logical did miss the vote).. why is that indicative of scum!chk at all?

If you want more: I pretended to ignorant myself in the previous game and got a townie lynched based on their flavour. I KNEW flavour wasn't AI, but I was specifically concerned about ONE FLAVOUR I was given and told I would win if they did, so anyone who didn't have that flavour was expendable from my PoV.

I think I explained it before, but I am damn too lazy to ISO myself. I was 3P on The Baker's previous game, and one who was told they would win with "Chris Jericho". The problem is he didn't tell me who had CJ as their flavour, nor did he inform me of CJ's alignment. There was just that hint that whenever CJ used his finisher mine would automatically trigger, although my finisher didn't have any mechanical effects (just a loud visitor), so I was trying to identify who CJ was using night action claims (because I would have been notified if my finisher was triggered).

In retrospect, and since I now know CJ was scum in that game, I was making a joke based on that "mess if a win con" I was given in the previous game, while also "poking Vecna in the nose".

With 3 pages to go, I'm leaning towards believing BOTH claims, actually. The Baker is eccentric enough to have two gated Vigs that do NOT confirm each other (like, not Even and Odd). It creates chaos when/if 2 people die on N2 and then 2 on N2 and one of the Vigs claims the kill is not theirs.

Yet again, Thun could be 3P (I doubt he would claim Vig as Mafia), which means he is either a gated SK or is assigned to kill a certain <flavour name> to win and exit the game, but that's less likely because pk was asserting EEEJ was not a Vig.
