Keeping a top-town status is pretty easy when you into the game. So being a top-poster means shit all. Giving top content D1 means shit all as the only people that actually know shit is mafia and that way they can semi-easily just control town who would know next to nothing.

They've been constantly discrediting those who disagree with them, whether that be directly or by constantly at everyone. I've started calling it out every time I see it

If geraintm’s contributions don’t add up for me later in the game by all means. I just don’t get the point. There’s not even an attempt at reading other players. I will also say though that playing only based on the limited information that you get from votes and flips tends not to work for me.

I find it very difficult to read players on day 1 when all we have are a few votes. it is incredibly rare for someone to actually say something that is actually indicative of their alignment. so why waste so much effort on a fruitless chase?

Also, for anyone who has played with not_mafia....what was your experience? Do they become useful at some point later in the game if they are town?

a few games. day 1 doesn't do much, but becomes much more valuable as the game moves on if they are town. there was a reason I killed them night 1 in my last game.
but if they are scum, then they get to coast for ages
