so, i'm chilling in this lovely game, i see some suspicion by deathnote about the votes i've placed so far. i make an offer to explain any of my votes if necessary. salsa shoots up, she wants me to explain. "which one?", i ask. "all of them."
so, i'm going to do that. it s 21:27 central european time, i am being fueled by some leftover popcorn, a glass of apple juice, and pettiness and annoyance about actually being asked to explain all my votes.
part two: my first vote (on luca blight)
this is known as an rvs (random voting stage) vote. you see, when the game first starts, i like to place my vote on someone i know and/or like. out of all the players in this game, i have the most history with luca and know him the best as a player. therefore, he was the most logical choice for an rvs vote. in the same post, there is also expressed hope that he is town, because town!luca and town!datisi have had success catching scum when working together, and i would love to once again see that happen.
part three: my second vote (on oopsiedaisy)

you see, at the beginning of a singleball game, scum is already informed about everyone's alignment, and they need to fake being uninformed and looking for scum. that is not an easy thing; a lot of new scum players aren't sure what to do. they don't know

to post, but they know they have to post

, so they can end up making useless posts.
as oopsie's account is fairly new, i believed her

34 fit into a profile of new, nervous scum who's forcing themselves to post while not actually helping town solve. now, this wasn't a very
confident
read, but i thought it was good enough for page 2, and that puhing it would bring out more game content, if nothing else.
part four: my third vote (on cook)
i utterly hated cook's posts so far. his first post (basically rvs) was okay, but the three that followed i did not like.
i didn't like
95 because it seemed like non-content that was supposed to be disguised as content. contrast to oopsie's posts above - she was making posts that were obviously
not
trying to be content. cook make a post calling me out for "wanting to be townread" and calling out elements, daisy, and salsa for god knows what. there's no conclusions in this post, there's no "this person is scummy because xyz" or "this person is towny because abc" - there's no analysis, it's just listing things that have happened. that is often a sign of scum, they don't have genuine thoughts, they can't have genuine thoughts. if a post looks like it's supposed to say something, but it doesn't actually say anything, it's scummy.
i didn't like
97 because it's similar in that there's no hard conclusions, just a vague "oh, there's scum in this pile" that is not productive at all. the only actual conclusion that he does list is - i'm scummy because a lot of my posts are about catching scum and defending myself. ok, except...

99 - when called out on it, he's able to find one (1) post of me talking about catching scum, zero (0) posts of me defending myself, and he avoided answering why me defending myself would make me scummy in the first place. i took this to be scum who's made claims in order to pretend to Have Thoughts about the game, but upon being challenged on it, he's not able to provide answers, because his reads are bullshit.
the reason why i didn't vote cook immediately here is because i wanted to wait for his reply first. why would me defending myself even be scummy? however, while i was waiting for him to come back, i decided that i didn't like my oopsie vote anymore, so i voted him before he came back to answer those burning questions.

after the initial pressure on her had gone down, i noticed she wasn't posting that much, even though she was online on site. i thought this might be a sign of a lurking scum not posting if they don't have to, so i decided to vote her again, both to see where that wagon goes, and to see if she appears again to defend herself.
what i meant by "there are obvious holes" - i had seen something that made me doubt about the validity of cook's cop claim. "i don't doubt shiga's claim" (

part seven: my fifth vote (on cook)
this post was made in direct response to his readslist (
420) and his posts surrounding it. he wasn't answering my questions to the point i thought it would be satisfactory, he was refusing my constant quest for figuring out his thought process, his readslist seemed kinda random and without any explanations, there were obivous mistakes in it (ranny being placed in both town and scum), and he kept making jokes (posting at the backup mod) as opposed to actually doing anything helpful.

i once again decided not to leave too many votes on cook while i couldn't watch the thread. i knew that a cop would be a prime misyeet to scum, so in the event that cook is actually town, him getting yeeted there would be a horrible blunder by town, which i didn't want to happen.

pretty much exactly what it says on the tin, this was a luca sheep vote. i have great admiration of luca's skill. i also agreed with his thoughts about zuko's
567, and i was willing to give him a hand and give my vote to that wagon.
part eleven: my eighth vote (on sos)
sos was an utterly useless slot, he was a claimed vanilla townie, it was time for him to die. the clock was running out, and the odds were, even if we ran up scum in the short time we had left, they'd probably claim town power role, and we'd deadline scramble back onto sos. also, there was a risk of outing
actual
town power. no thank you.
part twelve: my ninth vote (on zuko)
pretty much the same as my vote on zuko from the day before. zuko definitely isn't being townie, i have a townlean on luca, i can vibe with this wagon.
part thirteen: my tenth vote (on saudade)
similar story to the vote above. i do not townread saudade, there hasn't been any post that has made me think that saudade is townie. the people that had voted saudade up to that point (elements, salsa, luca) are all players i currently think are town. also, apathy is a town killer. the easiest way to combat apathy is to have things be happening, and a lovely wagon straight out of the gate? that is definitely something that is happening.
if you want anything specific... i dunno, i didn't like his vote on me. i think it was obvious it wasn't going anywhere, he made no actual effort to push it, and his play around sos's wagon could maaaybe be indicative of scum who knew that the town is about to have a town flip, so he decided to call sos a bad wagon to get some townpoints the next day, while not actually doing anything to stop his yeet.
part fourteen: conclusion
it is 22:41 central european time. i actually spent over an hour on this garbage. fucking hell.
