This sort of thing is how I expected BM to respond to Noraa's push:

Short summery: if lunar is scum, they have a ringer partner. I guess I’d entertain mikul then, but could just as easily be anyone else. If lunar town, I’m very sure there is at least one ringer scum. In the words of our dearly departed cop, “fuck this game is hard”. Scum never had to put themselves at risk yesterday, as the majority of people on the chopping block were town, and all PRs are eliminated or blocked forever now. I am most concerned about going into the late game with me, Lunar, mikul alive, with some ringers left, and me always getting voted, or lunar always getting voted, which sounds like a really really bad deal. An innocent ringer gets shot tonight. It feels like we should elim at least one of them and hope...or just get rid of me, to make sure a mikul, quiet, Lunar, x, x world doesn’t develop. That sounds world feels to me like a loss.

this is an awful idea.

I know, I'll pick 3 players, including myself, I think are town, and have them as the elim-pool now.

Her vote is based on nothing even remotely credible, as i have explained and others have also commented on. And by her own admission, she has an abysmal record at reading me. The fact she is town is irrelevant and has been obvious since like page 3, and I'm wary of players pointing it out to score cheap points.

Yeah so. I had this thought as well. Then Battle Mage did something that pinged me the other way. I'm not sure if he'll confirm this, but I feel like he's taken on a new persona. At least trying to. I didn't want to approach it however but I felt like an air of frustration. There is some uncanniness in his responses no doubt.

The DK tell that Batsunami keeps talking about doesn't seem like a catch-all. I also don't believe it applies to Battle Mage. Battle Mage in his natural habitat gets himself into a lot of trouble with a good amount of the game. Battle Mage as scum is more reliant on avoiding this.

Officially moving 5uffering to null. I could see this from town but this is a really convenient time to be arguing against me for scum.

i actually answered this earlier. noraa railed on me after for AtE or something. I wouldn't say it's a change of approach overall, across all setups. each game is different - there are examples of games where i have started with an intention of being very chill. it's not AI, it's just personality and mood driven i guess. in this game i was quite happy at the start because i got to play from the beginning unlike the last one, and it is my first large theme in a while, and i was hoping i could do better than last game.

admittedly some of that shine has worn off a bit with the likes of noraa and sherlock campaigning on "BM is scum, notwithstanding I can't think of a good reason why". I try, but it's pretty hard to engage without anything substantial to talk about.

no no nono. not how this works. townies trying to be more shiny don't look like this. townies are much more subtle. they don't just go from an average person to some perfect looking anime girl. Thats not how people work.

Has anyone noticed that nearly half of BM's posts are posted with the intent of discrediting me and turning this all into a joke?

This is not a joke. This is a full on tell that I have used to catch multiple scum in under 20 pages and I also caught BM in under 20 pages but I chose to not reveal my read due to the fact that trying to drive launches on well hidden scum is tiring business that generally gets me a shitload of backlash.
