I played a newbie game with him recently. which I believe was bothof our's first newbie games.

i find it strange floo doesn't actually answer the question or offer any meaningful commentary on flow trap here. trap has a very distinctive playstyle that's hard to forget. but to answer the question, it pretty much is going to be like this the whole way through. here is what i had to say about flow trap in newbie 2051:

"flow trap is an intriguing, often times irritating player to read. i think their slot is very townie at this point though. they're continually playing with a kind of reckless independence that i don't see mafia being able to pull off very well. they're trying plays and gambits and i really get the sense they're trying to actually play a game rather than trying to portray a particular image of a townie person. this seems to be catching them a lot of heat at this stage, but they're unwilling to compromise on their gameplay. lots of crypticness and evasiveness but i think there's a kind of internal logic to it that only flow trap seems to be able to understand. posts like #288 and #362 show this willingness to experiment/ have fun w it."

if he is town again this game, i'm expecting to see more of that recklessness and individuality. so far he has played even more dismissive and cynically than the other game, and i haven't seen any of his classic tricks yet, so i can't say i'm getting strong town vibes from him.

i don't think any conclusions on Vasex will go further until a response, but I did find the early interaction with Ydrasse interesting. it could definitely be a "he'd have *US* killed/he'd have us *KILLED*" thing of not quite knowing which side is which, but i'm not sure about positive friendly game-related interactions like that in a stage where my impression is that town should be skeptical

that and questioning if i was really a new player, which isn't relevant to finding mafia

could you elaborate more on what you meant by this? I don't understand the hed have us killed thing.

to elaborate i think I was misinterpreting early interactions because it's early and i had little to go off

in addition to seeing town from his angry replies, one other reason i backed off Vasex was that the argument was getting into logical/technical games which i didn't think would be valuable to anyone. this was partially my fault.

i don't think any of flowtrap's posts joining in were factually/logically wrong but i don't think this is really a game about pointing out logical flaws bc either side can make those especially when pressed. since that's one of the few times flow trap's been less loose id like to hear their thoughts on Vasex more
