I have been in the game for barely part of 1 dayphase and I think there is reason to think that they are scum.

If I thought mala was not town on fire rn I would be pushing her right now. I just think in particular, that a NK15 elimination is a poor choice and that what I read with a fresh mind is a better POE to start with due to how flipped scum treated NK15 indirectly.
