i would agree with this after looking it over, i think baltar was consistently shading datisi well beyond the point of it making much sense as distancing, and the reaction in 1045 is very defensive, it felt like he got threatened by what was a pretty simple question by datisi

this post is kind of giving me pause, and it's also making me remember thinking that some of fire/baltar interactions on d1 were odd in a way i wasn't able to place at the time.

I was actually just on VPB and my townlean on VPB has mostly faded at this point. Could go either way. Datisi feels like a lightning rod choice bound to pull in a lot of attention, alternatively VPB might be an interesting wagon as someone sitting closer to most people's null piles. So uh yeah, could go either way lol

This back and forth progression on VPB feels more likely to be real and not a projected trajectory

I’ll get into the other reads later but for Marci specifically I think according to her own self-meta, she’s playing as I’d predict she would as scum. Her rudeness (she self-describes her play as sometimes rude so I don’t feel there’s a problem saying this) in parts feels a fair bit off-kilter.
