It seems like the scum reads come from tilt. I think HEM is good enough to pass for D2.In post 4425, DeasVail wrote:

Posts like this make me think HEM will flip Town.In post 4330, DeasVail wrote:My reservation with HEM is that I'm not sure that their play here is trying all that hard to look like town, which is the sense I have gotten from seeing HEM as scum previously. Here it seems more like they are just mucking around and having fun without actually caring all that much.
I'm interested in seeing the reaction to the wagon, but not all that interested in seeing HEM eliminated before that.

Quoting a post and saying "TOWN" seems like a different level of confidence from "good enough to pass for D2" (the latter of which implies that you would more likely consider eliminating HEM on a later day).
Also if you're basing your reads off the assumption that I'm scum, why not push for my elimination? HEM was more widely townread than me on Day 1. Maybe you could make it happen.-

If you're accusing me of having wavering levels of self-efficacy then you caught me red-handed.In post 4431, DeasVail wrote:Quoting a post and saying "TOWN" seems like a different level of confidence from "good enough to pass for D2" (the latter of which implies that you would more likely consider eliminating HEM on a later day).

fwiw, i think the claim somewhat tracks with his reaction when i first voted him. but i don't think he went with it in a townie direction/way, obviously, so.In post 4391, Thestatusquo wrote:I do not like this response even a little bit.
I don't buy that HEM even expected to be attacked for his posts. For him to come in and claim it was a master plan to get scum read as a GAMBIT to out all the scum who would VOTE FOR HIM despite the existence of two other wagons that already had momentum is just...a lot to swallow.I will straight up disregard all reason if you have a PR dream again. You can come back and be like, “I dreamt that Locke is a N2 Bulletproof Multitasking Cop and Self-Targeting Doctor,” and I will go, “Okay, Locke kill it is then.”~M-

There was an error in 3414. I counted 7 votes on humaneatingmonkey, not 6. I also missed DeasVail’s vote on Gamma that happened right before the post.
Also, Gamma Emerald is replacing out.
After player feedback, the rules are being edited. Replacements that happen less than 24 hours before the deadline will freeze the deadline, but replacements that happen before then will not freeze the deadline. If a slot is still not filled 24 hours before the deadline, the deadline will be paused at 24 hours. This only applies to day deadlines, not night deadlines, the rules for that are the same as before.-

gut still thinks HEM is town but I can understand why ppl think he's scum.
VOTE: DannflorOf all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Thing is while i don't have a lot of experience with hem specifically i do have a lot of experience with players going "ah hah! But being scummy is what I was trying to do!" With both alignments and while i don't want to go into the why right now until hem has had a little more time to come back to the thread i don't see this as town.tout comprendre c'est tout pardonner-

Has anyone else reviewed VPB/HEM associatives and have thoughts there? For me that specifically was something that made me more interested in a HEM vote."I think I no longer believe in monsters as faces in the floor or feral infants or vampires or whatever. I think at seventeen now I believe the only real monsters might be the type of liar where there's simply no way to tell. The ones who give nothing away"-
