This is such a bad take I don’t know what to say. If we execute DW over GL, and DW flips Scum, then you probably know that executing amongst the loudest defenders of GL is a bad idea. Not sure why you’re just openly ignoring that.

Then You are telling me that if dweelee flips green You 100% vote for GL o Baltar?

Why are you acting as if you know what DW is going to flip? If DW flips Town, then GL certainly looks bad, I would be more inclined to think you’re Town, as I would any of the biggest cheerleaders in favor of GL from say yesterday. But Lukewarm AND MariaR seemed to come around on GL, and they were both Town. Why are you just outright ignoring that? If DW flips Town, it doesn’t condemn anybody necessarily, because the alternative could still have a Town perspective. Like the game isn’t just oh that flips Town, counterwagon has got to be Scum. Like I’m confused why that’s your push here.

Towards the early part of the game, I thought GL was Town. You can obviously tell this was the case because I voted for GL to be King and advocated for them. I felt we hadn’t communicated much directly, but I liked their takes and thinking, and was happy slotting them as Town. VPB, who I was also TR’ing and who was advocating for me to be King (which I should naturally TR if I’m being honest because I know I’m Town and I think Scum!VPB is less likely to make that push seriously). But arguments made by Lukewarm didn’t seem silly to me (remember that I was conflicted about Luke’s alignment), but placed them as a slight Town Read. And obviously folks in the Council arguing so strongly against GL also influences my views. I mean I thought they were Towny, but my ultimate choice for King didn’t agree, and that had an effect.

I’m returning to trusting my initial read, and I think DW’s contributions today have been horrible and seem anti-spew. I’m also getting bashed in ways I would deem ridiculous by Drapion and Junko, and so my views on the alignments of those in the Council (and by default, my reliance on their views) has softened. If Junko is going to diminish my standing and argue I’m being idiotic by siding with Drapion of all people, then why the hell do I need to care how they view the game? Drapion has been doing extremely little, with very limited contributions, but all of a sudden their push of my slot is getting support from Junko? That’s straight up nonsense, so I feel like I should be more inclined to trust my own gut.

I’m against this because concentrating power roles amongst those that already hold them, when I’m not really sure I think the Council is pure, seems like a massive risk. But you know what? I’ll let the King do as they please. If the King wants to listen to others and ignore my opinion, so be it.
