Lady Lambdadelta strode into the Council Chambers with all the confidence of a hurricane, breathtaking in her beauty and power.

Days of arguments had finally come to a head. She walked behind Datisi and placed her hands on his shoulder with a smile. Her perfume tickled his nose as she whispered something in his ear before addressing the others.

Milords, I thank you for your service to the realm but it seems I have finally gotten the support I need to test the loyalty of this man over here.

Datisi turned white at the sound of these words but before he could respond, the Master of Coin and the Princess of Dragonstone rose from their seats in protest.

This is preposterous! Datisi is a valued member of this council and has been working tirelessly to root out traitors and villains, we've found not a hint of treachery in his wise and sage council! How dare you come in here and spew such slander?

She chuckled at this interruption and slid across a small sheet of parchment. Her smile beamed from ear to ear as the lord councilors eyed the seals affixed to it.

Unfortunately the last bits of support I needed have just come in and with the support of a majority of the Lords Paramount, I have a writ of execution for your dear Lord Hand. Shea I suggest you work on finding someone new to run the Kingdom because Datisi's services will no longer be available

At her signal two guardsmen walked into the room and took the Lord Hand from his seat, a look of utter disbelief on his face.

The King looked out from his bedroom at the sea below, mighty waves slamming into the shore.

Shea looked like he had aged years in just a night - the revelation that his most trusted advisor had been secretly working against the Realm was shocking to him and he felt lost and adrift in a storm.

Whispers were growing in the streets that his days atop the Iron Throne were numbered and a growing faction of the Lords Paramount were now adamantly opposed to his continued reign.

Sometimes he wished he could just let it all go, get on Vermithor and fly away across the Narrow Sea and live out the rest of his days as a guest in Pentos or Volantis. Dragonriders were welcome there and would be treated like princes. He would feast from dawn till dusk and be attended to by beautiful courtesans, not a worry in the world.

The duties that bound him to the Kingdom now felt like iron shackles, a responsibility that weighed on him like a mountain.

He had never expected to sit atop the Iron Throne, that was always the task of someone older and more wise. So many others were in the line of succession before him, he had just wanted to fly across the world on his dragon.

He opened his drawer and pulled out his abdication letter, it was something he had written many days ago but never found the courage to submit. Perhaps on the morrow he would find the courage to step down from the throne and from the duties that bound him to the realm

Unfortunately for the King, he never saw the dawn.

I have serious questions about the Doctor and the Master of Coin. Why was fireisredsir allowed to die?

As for the King presumably being overthrown, I townread them after Dannflor's flip, and would have protected had I been on the Kingsguard. I protected the night before last night, when I was on a 4-player Kingsguard. Mastina as King worries me, as she tried to clear the entire council which was wrong. This has still yet to be explained to me. Both Firebringer and Mastina have serious questions to answer today, we need full transparency about the failures of the Council

I imagine scum is Titus - was "cleared" by Datisi, was dismissive of idea of flipping Datisi yesterday. I voted to overthrow in part to see if Titus would be down to flip both Shea/Mastina, taking it as a sign of towniness if she did.

Correct play here is to lim Mastina as it's indisputable that whoever is scum on the kingsguard did not want her to be flipped along with Shea. She also should have protected fireisred yesterday

we wanted to get Mastina and personally I thought on the oddball chance that Mastina was somehow town, then Shea would be possible scum

I also wanted to see if Titus would push back against the idea of total overthrow

she did not, but I suspect she lied to us about her vote. this result certainly confirms a scum who lied on the Kingsguard
