I think the best move for arsonists would have been dousing another townie, for more mislim options today, and 3 dead town after an ignite tonight would mean an arsonist win.
How do you expect to find the culprit when you're all worried about each other's feelings? If you're planning to expose a liar, then you have to corner them psychologically.

you were caught in an associative and I was confident you were co-aligned with kokichi, but the flips say otherwise so I'm proven wrong lol
you really need to rework on your associative tells / work on not having tunnel visions like that
it was why you got miselimed
pedit: we really had to town side during day cause we would loose on an end game scum win scenario if we didn't have time to leave game. All my play - claiming and then helping town to catch arsons was to give us enough time to actually leave the game or end game with town
me claiming we're pirates was the correct call, cause as I suspected, the other scum team didn't want us dead and town worked with us as we would give them info/were no threat to town either
having a friendly neighbor helped to prove it I guess to scum and town (cause I did target kokichi with that too)
as for confidence, I've been eliminated for being waffley because that's an obvious scum tell, so I need to be overconfident to actually make use of a potentially high value PR
yeah but you and kokichi merged together seamlessly so a strong associative was formed in my mind, and denying it would be waffling and thus be openwolfing
none of us knew the other is not town so you read the interaction and what happened wrong. there was no association so it was clear that we would deny it
imo you just need to care less about how people read your reads and actually try to work on those said reads instead. ultimately the purpose is to find the scum. its not really your job to show everyone else you're town. that's the thing everyone else must solve on their own.
backing down from a wrong read and showing you're willing to solve the game instead can help your reads credibility in games too and can keep you alive for more. for example if you would not insist on the association and would just focus on both me and kokichi separately you could have solved an arson and a 3p for town.

For the record pirates would've lost endgaming with town.
