Hey, I didn't even flip on you yet and I'll probably go back to voting furtive! I'd just feel bad about completely ignoring a poem, so unvoting seemed like a reasonable thing to do.

Yeah I've been putting in a lot of effort and your voting without commenting on any of it on the heels of Ethel unvoting over a poem is just too much for me right now

In post 1273, Radical Rat wrote: As I said before, if we're to assume the worst case scenario and flip whichever of you is Town, you don't have an ability anymore, Cephrir (allegedly) does. Therefore, in the absence of other factors, you're the better elimination. That other factors are also pushing me towards you and not Cephrir cements my decision to vote you.

And I am again genuinely confused by the assertion that I'm "hiding behind LLD." I expressed suspicion first, and while I did agree with most of her logic after it was shared, I've also consistently had my own take on the situation, it doesn't make sense that I'm just coasting off her
sorry I'm a slowpoke. of course it makes more sense to flip furtive, since cephrir might be a doc

Cephrir
  • - engaging Ranger on her reads is +town
  • - transparent in his position on Ranger (sidenote: everyone who keeps claiming people are just sheeping LLD is obviously not reading the game
  • - voting me is not the best thing but doing more than just sit on Ranger all day is reasonable
  • - echoes my own feelings at that point in the game
  • , - admitting to liking Ranger's posts shows some sort of actual thought process and is +town; I'd think he'd just claim to disagree with her read on me if he were making things up as he went along
  • - likewise picking holes in the case on Ranger even though she's his own scumread too
  • , - seems unlikely for scum to go to this kind of effort to "read" me; not unheard of, but surprising
  • - "Maybe I'm just stupid" shows a lack of concern for appearing consistent which is a +town attitude
That's, uh, that's enough already. Still like Cephrir for town, absent the redcheck.

Given that you're at risk of dying today, I'd think you'd want to tell us what you make of those reactions. What did you get?

Cephrir really getting em with the AtE...fair play

I don't really care enough, obviously it's 100% mechanically better to vote out the Cop, because I've already used my ability, and we want to keep the fake Doctor around to pretend to heal us, so I've just got to accept this one, because of everyone's amazing logic.

Note that Furtive is at L-1 by my count (Ceph, RR, Ranger, LLD, Gimli)

Why assume worst case? Just aim for the best case which is being correct.
I am also doing that. There's a reason I am frequently using the words "also" and "and" when discussing this. I think you're the scummier of the two, AND even if I happen to be wrong, you're the better one to be wrong on.

VOTE: KawaiiKame again just so I'm not no-voting while letting the day play out

What's the difference here? I think all of us are mostly in agreement that one of Cephrir/furtiveglance needs to die today. So what makes voting someone else who isn't likely to be the elimination substantively different from no voting?

No practical difference, I guess. I'm just frustrated that they're not playing the game and no one is doing anything about it. I get there's not much we can do about it today but voting them still soothes my soul a bit.
