I wanted more from Marquis before going in to night tbh,
I'm currently conflicted on the Gimli slot, I was SRing Gimli a lot, and now Merlyn is like, kinda good but like I'm unsure lol cause the amount of effort is like "woah..." scum that's like "tr me!!!"?? or town that's like "I gotta fix this slot"
I'm so lost on where scum is.
Hey Merlyn, what are your thoughts on Marquis at this point?-

I dunno if I see merlyn's posts as massive effort or anything it's just a fine catch-up
I'll probably do more work solving tomorrow rather than relying on my general impressions of the game"I would prefer not to." --Herman Melville,Bartleby the Scrivener-

Yeah, I mean my slot is super sus, everyone town should be suspecting the hell out of it. I wish we were in a position where I could just solve it offering myself up and taking me off the board, but we're not so I have to try and help town somehow. In post 1876, Andante wrote: I wanted more from Marquis before going in to night tbh,

Hey Merlyn, what are your thoughts on Marquis at this point?
So, here's what bugs me about Marquis- he managed to not be on any wagon that resulted in a lim. Not even the good one with NM. I'm worried this is a tell that they are very good at staying out of the limelight. But I haven't found anything overtly scummy in his posts.
I know you have shingles (sorry, I've heard it's rough!), but I would really love to hear where you were going with this and if you thoughts are the same or not considering STD was town.In post 1783, Marquis wrote: Anyway I'm pretty sure scum is Norwegian and Ceph/STD. Going to finally try and find those series of posts from D1 that made me sure
I have like no idea what happened D2 and D3 tbh I knew day started but I was putting off catching up until I felt a bit better and then they just ended fast
Idk what the motivation was for that-

marquis brilliantly staying in the shadows and away from any significant wagons right beneath our noses by literally not posting at all

I think you'd be surprised to find just how swayed by emotion I can be. I think I would describe myself as the most emotional of anyone I know, which I can promise is not an exaggeration. When people get upset, or grumpy, like NSG did at the beginning, and enchant did in response to criticism, I tend to lose my logical edge a bit sometimes. In post 1872, Merlyn wrote:
That's interesting to hear you say, because you don't strike me as an emotional player *at all*. You're very friendly, very laid back, and very reasonable. But letting emotion take the reins? I don't see that, even in your responses to me you're very calm.In post 1865, Elpis wrote:
I'm a little confused about each of these assessments. I townread ethel because I just thought her posts felt like they came from town. Like, sure, I can see the argument you want to make here, but I genuinely just wanted to know what people saw when I didn't.
As for the Enchant thing, they entered with hostility and I never vibe well with that sort of thing. I tend to let emotion take the reins sometimes when that occurs and it's a definite flaw in my logical processing.
And with cephrir-- We're just very close friends, I just would be surprised if I was reading him wrong. I've made a couple posts regarding why specifically I think, but generally I just think I know where he's coming from.
I also think it's a bit of a stretch to say that Enchant entered with hostility. They actually entered with a joke, and this has been a very jokey game.
I did see that you and Ceph are real life friends, and I can see that being a thing town!you would think. And for that matter I think Ceph is thinking it about you. But I'm just thinking that in a game where two people literally have to deceive to win, if one of you got a red PM you'd have no choice but to try to fool the other.
The enchant with hostility is a stretch going back to look. I just recall being frustrated/bothered with their entrance and maybe I just misremembered.
And for that third part, honestly entirely accurate I think. I feel like it'd be hard for either of us to fool each other though, since we're both pretty analytical of the other.“When someone leaves your life, those exits are not made equal. Some are beautiful and poetic and satisfying. Others are abrupt and unfair. But most are just unremarkable, unintentional, clumsy."

I appreciate that even in this alignment scrying tense time, you two have made me giggle. In post 1880, Merlyn wrote: right?! When normally it's such a townread from me when someone lurks in the background!
I mostly see marquis's lack of engagement as some kind of low attention span/ sick struggles thing exclusively, but I would find it exceptionally amusing if it was all intentional.“When someone leaves your life, those exits are not made equal. Yeah I would too, I basically trust no one while playing. But yeah I don't think Marquis is faking shingles. In post 1883, Elpis wrote:

So what’s the deal about salt shakers?Norwe is spontaneous, has a stream-of-consciouness posting style, usually posts on catch-ups by commenting on past pages posts, gets rather fired up in certain moments in games, is relatively as playful as me in games and likes casual shitposting
