I'll also say this. WhemeStar is apparently under two mistaken impressions: the gap between him and Fire Assassin is substantial; I wouldn't vote Fire Assassin.

Both incorrect. WhemeStar was

barely

above Fire Assassin (all of him/Dusa/FA were near equal reads), and wasn't low. Despite both being townreads, I'd have voted them, as while they're not strong scumreads, they're not topping the charts of my townreads. In short, a compromise: not a wagon I'd join expecting to catch scum, yet a wagon I believe has a reasonable chance would.

eh maybe i am simply biased because i felt similarly but it was a pretty towny post yeah

also maybe noteworthy that this is only post from whole pushes on whemestar/norwegianboyee 'tmi' defense of situation you commented on and did so kinda indirectly

like do you disagree with furtiveglance's post there? or find it to be coming from a scum perspective possibly? like you've since stated you are townreading norwegianboyee, and norwegianboyee had a similar view to furtiveglance's regarding the whemestar post in question, so probably can't be solely an issue with content, yeah?

In response to your earlier observation on Osuka- Yes, I think the gamestate was shifting towards an Osuka lim rapidly. The catchup needed to be good, so there is pressure to perform as either alignment, so the actual catchup itself isn't as strong a reason to heavily townread- not that it has stopped me much


And regarding furtiveglance, I was just wondering why that one post affected Ranger's read so much

I think you know better than not voting top suspect = lazy.

Voting someone and tunneling is very lazy.

i guess i simply do not see why pressure to perform due to possible elimination seems more likely to you than simply catching up when osuka was able to, idk

like it doesn't really read to me like osuka possibly thought 'oh i must make this one really really good' regardless of alignment, it's not heroically towny to me or anything and doesn't feel like its trying to be either

so discounting it on basis that it might be feels odd to me

I liked 594 a lot personally, but I was already predisposed to liking Ari

It seems very hard to read his heart if you do not feel the reasons to hate old Aristeia and like new Aristeia.
I can't remember who said it,

that the children of the Professor may like to tell stories about one figure over and over to have one easy act.

But I also think it's easy for someone like that to put the opposite moral at the end and impress us when we doze off. The children of the Professor can pick anyone to be a friend and anyone to be a foe! If I pick the wrong friends I'll be slain!

I think in some ways jjh927 was valiant in a way that is hard to perform as a child of the Professor, early in his attack. But only that has made sense to this maid!

I'll say I'm happy with all reads the Sail tier and below. They feel really solidly placed. From about Dusa above solidly town, and Wheme-Sail tiers being weaker town. FA - BlueSnek tiers, not satisfied with; Norwee+Ari, still feel good as scum.

I think it’s a pretty common scum strat for experienced players to find a tunnel that is believable and focus entirely on that, it’s actually remarkably easy to generate towny looking content with that strategy

I’m not saying that makes jjh scum but I don’t think the act of hard pushing ari is a town tell by itself
