Even better question, not thinking they're red scum doesn't mean you don't think they're scum at all. Since there's still (likely) two parties in play, why are you focusing on which team they may/may not be rather than whether or not they're scum at all?

i am focusing on whom i believe is likely to be scum
i am suspecting pisskop to be blue, i just feel more hesitant there

My one son has a soccer game tomorrow, and the other has a dance performance, then we have a cub scout hike and family photos on Sunday. Going into my standard weekend V/LA, and will likely not be on much if at all until Monday morning.

Right, I dont think focusing on one scum over another is necessarily a bad thing. Especially if youre working with association tells.

I dont think pure VCA or pure interactions is the way to go though. We've been using VCA all game even as I tried to downplay it early on. And using interactions is the same fallacy as effort=alignment. Any reasonable competent scum shouldnt be afraid of interactions. I'd look for unsolicited opinions, jokes, and 'impromptu' discussions about small details as tells between 2 comfortable partners.

Okay so first of all

My reads at end of Day 5 (disregarding Enchant's scum claim), were:

Both my scumreads (and one of my townreads) were correct but I'm missing 2 scum. Now let's look at some VCA and see if I get anything out of it.

First off, Enchant did some excellent VCA work and caught themself voting with their team. I'll get back to this later, but I actually noticed this before Enchant pointed it out.

Okay but seriously, I should probably look at shadow since you are all voting him. I'd say I got pretty townie vibes from most of his posts today except for the RN vote which is a bit ???
OTOH I agree with Naerys that the vote on him looks bad.

Okay so VCA says this:
I agree with Naerys that it's a bit weird that in Day 1 and Day 2 he just doesn't vote for major wagons. However on Day 3 he does vote on a major wagon (STD) and while I don't love the votes, I don't hate them either. The way he moved to Snivy doesn't feel super scummy either.
Day 4 - I can see CSF vote being a bus vote.
Day 5 - I don't think he's aligned with Dave

So basically shadow remains a blue scum candidate and remains not a red scum. Let's see if I can either find any better blue scum candidates or not, which would either make him less or more likely to be scum.

So we elim one evil. One shot happens (no i don't care about 4maf theories)

that's 5vs1. Two chances.


If we elim town. Two shots happen (they may or may not crosskill or kill each other. Assume they both hit town for now).
That's 3vs2. One chance to elim (one wasted previous day), but if we get it wrong, mafia can still kill each other. Also not needed to skip elimination. Unless RN is bulletproof scum who never dies and it turns game in boring kingmaker unless one team has strongman unless mod is bastard unless....


So naturally, killing town is MORE benefiting this day, because we need to skip elimination if we guess correctly today to get at odds and mafia loses chance to kill each other.
Let's just police me so i go to chill, considering you all hate my guts and will side against me in elo, that would make sense. Or you can kill RN, if scum good, if town not big lose.
