There is a 50% chance of any 1 point rolling a 2 point ability, but only if there are 2 points available. By default with 3 points, this results in 2 50% rolls. Thats a 75% chance of rolling 1 of the above 5 abilities. so, there is a 20% chance of rolling a cop on top of that. That's 15% chance of a cop by default.
Although the odds go up when 4, 5, or 6 points are allotted, the underlying idea does not change. There is an informed mafia option available, however.
I actually didn't realize it was this complex but I still don't understand how I could know there isn't a cop if I were scum? Am I missing something or am I correct that Titus was wrong about that?
Titus is saying youre posting like youre informed of more info than the rest of us have, I think.
Less about 'you know there is a cop' and more 'you know how many points there are so can hedge your bets'
but stop me if I sound crazy
beeboy - Everyone thought this game was made to troll pie but it was really made to troll pisskop. Almost50 pisskop: Overall, that's a townie slot. Don't ask for specifics because with PK everything can be interpreted either way. It's probably WHEN he says/does things that matter, so it's more of a matter of conception rather than solid reasoning.
yeah. The odds are actually a little worse than that even, since I simplified the math. But overall the only way to 'know' the setup is to be the ascetic maf

Wrong, if you care to pay attention to the difference between random opening votes and points in the game where something significant has already showed up.

This is the expert type of read you have come to expect from me.
(But, their recent interactions seem contrived, not sure what exactly is going on there)

'doctor drew our hero' - Shiki

davesaz is the only slot that has posted so far that i feel is greater than rand to be scum
This is an example of what gob thinks is scum indicative -- giving a reason that isn't actually a reason.
i think dunnstral's opening was very easy to hop on and you did so without actually digging into what was alignment indicative about it
you just kinda shouted "gross" and voted dunn which feels a little performative and not like you actually care about what dunn's alignment is or showing other people what dunn's alignment might be

I'm having such a hard time parsing this post. Who's giving a reason that isn't actually a reason? Do you agree with gob or disagree?
It's always the same. When you fire that first shot, no matter how right you feel, you have no idea who's going to die. You don't know whose children are going to scream and burn. How many hearts will be broken. How many lives shattered. How much blood will spill, until everybody does what they're always going to have to do from the very beginning... SIT DOWN AND TALK!
